I have used TT for many years w/o problems. This year I considered the online version, but I had some questions. I could not find any way to get answers to my questions except to sign up for tax advice which is not what I needed. I had questions about the online program/process itself. So I went with my normal download program. Entering my tax info was very good as it always has been. Federal efile was fine. State efile was a disaster. The state refused it for supposed driver's license errors four times. No matter what I tried it would not work. The problem was compounded by Turbo Tax. On going through the refile process, there was no way to use a different verification option which would have probably worked. The original process has a choice of options, but once I elected to use the DL option, I was never given an opportunity to try one of the others. I ended up filing by mail because the DL issue was not resolvable for whatever reason. I will be having second thoughts about next year.

Been using TurboTax for many years and have never been disappointed in the ease of preparing my federal and state taxes with the help of TurboTax! Will continue using TurboTax for as long as I have to submit taxes. Thank you for making this process less stressful!

Had to report 1099-B Proceeds From Broker & Barter Exchange Transactions - Tried to import the form from the broker and it failed due to the wrong web address. The interface dialog login box showed the web address but would not allow me to edit it. So I was unable to import. I had never had to use / report capital gain/loss using this form before (RSU) and it did not include the cash out I received. I upgraded to premium from deluxe and that did not help with any of the issues above. I'm concerned that the cash I withdrew (less than $1000) will be flagged as there was no taxes deducted. The 1099-B form also did not match the instructions. I decided to spend the extra $35 for Audit Defense just in case

You miscalculated the Georgia 2025 SALT Tax Limitation. I went from a $1000 refund to owing over $600. It took you until 3/24 to notify me of this change as well. The $30 filing fee reimbursement is a nice gesture, but not enough considering I now have to adjust for covering a large portion of money I wasn't planning on paying - since I trusted your software and planned accordingly

Accuracy? The online version was completely unusable. Imported and was filing SAME 1099 multiple times? Didn't discover without looking at forms view. Support I for some unknown reason was forced by IRS to file by mail. I have not heard or know if they even got my taxes and won't even let me check for 6 weeks, BULL CRAP>

There used to be a table that you could use to calculate the value of items donated to a charity. This year I could not find a table. The only option I found gave values only. Very, Very difficult to use. You could not search by the simple word "dresses". The options in this search section were very limited and did not include all of the individual type of items donated. Using this search and finding any kind of value cost took an extremely long time to use and then were not able to find the information needed.

I have been using TurboTax for over 5 years and since Turbo Tax has access to all that information this access could make organizing easier. For instance, my IRA basis was $7000 from the year 2024, but this information did not appear before it asked me if I kept track of my nondeductible basis! Why, when it has access to that information BEFORE I look it up. It also prompts me for answers from last year's return when it already has access to that information AND those answers... for instance etc, etc.... A better option would be to say " from prior years returns we are able to see such and such information; is this correct before we enter it for you".... Thank you

will not permit state tax e-filing because of a "X" in one of the worksheet boxes - but, doesn't suggest how to remove this "X" box. as such, could not e-file state, and had to print our forms and mail them. need to help clients when a mark is hard coded into a worksheet - blocks one from e-filing'

The calculation for estimated taxes was not very helpful. I do not remember having to fill in some of the information and because I have a carryover on capital losses, I did not know what to fill in. I was only allowed $3,000 loss when I lost over $250,000. I realize that is not your problem but did not understand what to do for estimated taxes next year.

My experience was that in many cases,I knew more than they did and actually solved the last 3 issues keeping from being able to finish my return. One of your experts committed to follow-up with me after doing some research off-line to call me back exactly 2 hours later. They never called me back. No good!!! Also, they asked me to send them a file of last year's return, but of course couldn't tell me how to do that. Also said that they didn't have a tech department to call to find out. Not good!!!
