What idiot puts the serial number on the bottom of this machine when it is needed for setup? The printer is supposed to be kept level so the ink doesn't leak, but your Setup instructions asks for the serial number AFTER the ink is installed. I had to hold it up in the air while taking a photo of the bottom.

This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-2840 Special Edition Wireless Color Supertank printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Love the size, weight, and refillable ink feature of this printer. Packed safely, it was easy to remove from the box and set up (lots of blue tape protecting hinged pieces, etc. The Quick Set-Up guide was clear and concise - offering two set up alternatives - manually and through a free app I downloaded from the app store on my iphone. Note: the instructions mentioned several times NOT to connect the printer wire to the computer. Thank you. I did struggle a bit understanding how to get the app and printer connected to our WiFi but when I figured it out the instructions on the app were clear and moved at a pace that made sense with what I was being asked to do - like did you finish this or that - before moving forward. Three small issues at set up: 1. inserting the USB cord into the printer was a bit challenging. While I appreciated the space for my fingers around the port, somehow inserting the square end of the cable into the port was challenging. Eventually I tipped the printer on it's face to better see and insert the cable into the port. 2. ink tank color identification and ink level were not immediately apparent.The app did display the ink color distribution effectively. I had to look under the printer to see the colors correlation and ink level. Filling the ink tanks was clearly explained and very easy. Connection with the computer was smooth and without difficulty. From there on out, the printer was stellar! Printing wirelessly from my iphone rooms away and through the computer - quick, easy, and effortless. Photo copying took a bit more time than I expected but the quality was good. Scanning was simple! All in all, this is a wonderful all-in-one color printer. Sweet machine. I look forward to using it more! Highly recommend.

I thought this was the newer version of our older Epson eco tank that died this week. Got it home, set it up, tried to print double sided and it asked me to manually put the paper in! It is not an auto-duplex printer! Thankfully, Sam's Club took it back and purchased the next level up Epson for $100 more. I'm kind of disgusted that Epson took the auto-duplex feature from this price-level printer.

This printer is a great addition to my workspace. It has fast printing capabilities and clear quality. The set up is a bit extensive, but I appreciate the environmentally friendly ink. No more cartridges going into a landfill. The ink is also easy to install and the LCD screen will walk you through the set-up. All in all, it is a great printer. I would definitely recommend.

I just bought it yesterday! Easy setup and prints great! I am used to having the slide in paper and picture cartridges that this printer doesn't have. Time will tell as I have more experience with the printer. It has a smaller overall Footprint and weight. I don't know if it does double side printing yet, haven't tried. I will re-evaluate at a later time!

I have a college student who is always asking me to print stuff. I had a different printer with the ink cartridge that cost $54 dollars for a 2 ok of black. I hated trying to refill it with the needle head and ink cause it created a huge mess on my hands. The first thing I noticed about this is the bottles the ink comes in. They are fairly large and I was intrigued. Setup took about 15 minutes. 11 of those minutes is after you put the ink in the tank , it has to calibrate or something like that. It only does this the fort time you set it up. The app setup was super easy. I love that I can print directly off my iPhone or my son can hook his computer up wired to the printer. In terms of print quality, it’s actually really good! I was also surprised how fast it printed! When it comes to refilling the ink, I’ve already priced it and I’m going to end up probably pay $30 for 2 bottles of black and it will last a lot longer than the cartridge and a lot cheaper! I am super pleased with this and hoping that it last a long time because I’m like the ink cost refill for it. Lol

By far the BEST printer I have ever uses. It is easy to use and the apps allow for some great creative printing options! I print MANY copies for my S S. class and the ink reservoir barely goes down. I have printed several color photos on photo paper as well as standard plain white printer paper and the quality is extremely good! I recommend the Epson EcoTank printer to everyone I who talks to me about printers or the copies I make! I am very satisfied with this product!!

I’ve bought many printers in the last thirty years due to upgrades etc so I am smart enough to load these and the last 15 years with wireless ones… this one was confusing and didn’t explain in details each steps. Yes I love the easy load of ink that was easy yet that’s the one they focused on. What was clear was the loading of the software and I had to search for a long time the drivers for my printer and it took forever to get my desktop to communicate with the printer. I spent a good two hours total in getting it all done, usually only taking a few minutes. Even entering passcodes etc on the lil window screen on printer was difficult with the format… so far the printing is good and refilling should be a breeze.

As a printer alone this device is worth every penny. The refillable ink tank technology is a huge leap forward for home printers. No more having to worry about disposing dozens of cartridges and worry about how much you can print. The ink tanks are capable of holding additional volumes of ink to keep you printing longer between having to worry about purchasing additional supplies. This design is the way of the future and I could never see myself buying another printer without one. The printers copy and scan functionality are great and what you would expect out of a quality device. The size of this printer is perfect as well it is very compact for an All-In-One type printer. The color of the device is also a nice touch. I do appreciate the lighter colors on this device as it matches the modern technology trend. Once setup this device has been an absolute dream to get to use and I can see it in the family for a long time to come.

Love this printer it was very easy to set up and get paired with my phone and the internet this was the easiest printer that I have seen this phone just got this product setup and fixing to do the ink test on paper that's so far but this product is great love it as I've just got it
