Customer reviews for LG 4.3 cu. ft. Top Load Washer with 4-Way Agitator forNot a great washer.
Worst washer I ever used. On a normal wash not enough water to even cover the clothes. Then if you use deep fill it switches you to another cycle and adds time. The normal cycle is useless. Takes longer to wash than my old washer. So much for efficiency. My husband thought he was doing something good. Worst thing he ever brought me. I don't like all cold rinse no choice.

Odd features Lousy Owners manual Mediocre cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice enough, but has some very strange features (which the very skimpy owners manual does little to address). 1. Very long wash time: (up to two hours). The owners manual does not address this ( come to think of it, the owners manual really does not tell you how long each different cycle will take, or really much of anything else about the machine). 2. No separate "rinse and spin" cycle. 3. Does a poor job of rinse unless you use the "deep fill" cycle which seems to use about 20 gallons just to fill. 4. But oddly, the standard cycle uses so little water that unless you add only about 5 garments. Add more and the agitator start moving with mostly dry clothes. Efficient maybe, but very poor cleaning. 5. None of the cycle times are adjustable.
We hate to hear this and thank you for providing this feedback. We will be happy to pass this along to our product developers.^Sandy
DOES NOT GET CLOTHES CLEAN
We bought this recently, and from day one it KNOCKS on the spin cycle, shakes the whole floor, does not shut off when unbalanced and thus shakes violently. Does not use enough water to get clothes clean, the clothes at the top NEVER GET WET. It also is very loud during both the wash and spin cycles. Compared to our previous LG toploader, despite that one being recalled it was SO much better than this. Never again will we buy another LG product. Taking this out to our backyard to throw a brick in it. It won't last that long. Goodbye LG, we are going to get a used machine now. TERRIBLE, LOUD, GLITCHY PRODUCT.

Unable to balance loads
On the very first load I washed, the machine could not balance the load and the drum banged against the side. It kept stopping filling up and agitating to try to fix this by itself. It never could completely and it wobbles like crazy because it's still unbalanced. The machines solution to this is to spend for a longer and slower speed at the final spin to try to get the water out while it wobbles
We're sorry to hear that! Send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter using @LGUSSupport and include #VOC, your contact info and model # and we would be happy to look further into this. Thanks. ^Nikki
Who engineered this???
I've had this washer for a while and never thought it was getting my cloths clean enough. So I watched a whole cycle and realized that the agitator was turning approximately 2 turns clockwise and 2 turns counterclockwise. This action will not roll the cloths in the washer!! This action needs to go 2 turns clockwise and 1 turn counterclockwise!! I wonder where LG comes up with engineers. Won't buy another LG product.

Does Well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had it for about 3 months now. The automatic cycles work well. I thought the "normal" setting would not use enough water as some HE machines don't. This one is OK for most clothes. I do use the "deep wash" setting anyway for regular clothes washing and it does well. Nice and quiet too (for a washing machine).
Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It’s great to hear that your LG Washer (WT7005CW) model has been performing well for you over the past few months. This unit is designed with a Deep Fill option and 6Motion™ technology, allowing the washer to adjust water levels and wash motions for effective cleaning while staying efficient. It’s also built with a quiet, reliable motor, which is why you’re noticing smoother and quieter operation during cycles. If you ever feel a cycle isn’t using enough water, selecting Deep Wash or Deep Fill is a helpful step, and you’re already using it exactly as intended. Struggles to perform its primary function
We just wanted a basic washing machine without a lot of bells and whistles and this unit seemed to fit the bill. But after a month of trying to like this washer, I give up. It spends a lot of time "sensing" the load (LG calls it SmartDiagnosis, but if this is what they call smart I'd hate to see the dumb version), but not much time actually washing. The cycle seems very long with a lot of soaking/thinking, but not a lot of washing/agitating time. The water level is frequently so low that you can't see it. I've seen the agitator (LG "TurboDrum Technology") struggle to pull a lone sock down into the tub for 15 minutes or more - I feel like a spectator at a sporting event watching the underdog struggle to pull ahead, saying, "You can do it, you can do it!", but ultimately it can't. There's nothing "turbo" about the agitator, drum or wash speed unless you're a snail or turtle. There's no way that it's getting anything really clean. And while trying to conserve water is a worthy goal, the rinse cycle uses such little water that any captured dirt - and most of the used detergent - ends up as smudges on your clothes. That's a really bad look on darks. When your clothes come out of the washer looking dirtier than when they went in it's a problem. I'm only rating this washer a 1 star because (1) the dirt smudges seem to blend in well on your whites, (2) because it has a glass lid which makes watching the entire frustrating experience a little bit easier, and (3) because it looks nicer than Grandma's old wash board. So, if you want to waste several hundred dollars, I recommend just flushing it down the toilet. But if you want to waste money AND experience hours of disappointment and frustration, and wear dirty clothes, then this is the washer for you.

Clean clothes less loads
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my washing machine for almost 2 months and I’m so satisfied. It replaced a 20+ year old washer that was much smaller. My clothes come out clean even using less water; I also like that it has an agitator. I use the deep fill for heavily soiled items or gentle cycles. My kids can use the washer so easily with auto fill and sense for loads. The large capacity means fewer loads so I can finally get caught up on laundry. I can fit a king size comforter as well! It also gets so much water out on spin cycles which reduces drying time. As a short person, I can even reach the bottom! I’m very satisfied.
Has everything I need!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first LG appliance. My old washer was a Whirlpool Cabrio without the agitator. I thought I liked it when I had it until the unbalanced load issues caused damage that created a water leak after we repaired it twice. Although I was looking for another machine without the agitator, this machine caught my eye, and I'm glad it did. So quiet you would not even know you were doing laundry.
Fabulous washer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like I died and went to heaven! I love having an agitator back and a Toploader! This washer washes my quilts sheets without any trouble at all! The clothes are so much cleaner! I would recommend this washer to anybody at all
