My old washer was slowly dying. Hubby and I looked at several brands & models. We decided on this washer for several reasons. The agitator, the see through lid and it's numerous options to wash clothes the way they are supposed to be washed. The price was justified. I am very happy with my new washer.

Now, I have one that has an agitator and uses enough water to cover the clothes so they ALL get wet--that was not always the case with an impeller. The only change I would suggest is a setting that allows me to choose each function instead of all the choices preset. But even that is NOT a game changer as the settings seem to be working for the most part.

Decided to replace it with whatever agitator washer I could obtain - QUICKLY! My neighbor has this washer and was happy, so when I could have it by the end of the week, I bought it. Am VERY happy thus far, seems to wash the clothes well, not damaging them, and is quieter than the last one…..❤️ the little tune played at the end of the wash, too! Thank you, LG!

Our old machine (name brand) lasted 6 years which disappointed me greatly. So I did my due diligence on washing machines and decided on this model LG. Most of the negative remarks are people comparing their old machine against the LG. High Efficiency machine. To me that’s like saying my computer doesn’t work like my typewriter. What I am trying to say is if you want a full tub of sloshing water —- it’s not going to happen with this machine. But if you want clean clothes while conserving water and electricity this I feel is the machine for you,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two things changed from my previous machine when I bought this new one: 1. it has an agitator instead of being an impeller, and 2. it is direct drive (hopefully reducing off-balance issues). I have been satisfied with its performance on both counts. Another good aspect was that the agitator "blades" were more gently curved (i.e. less abrasive to clothes) than other similar agitator washing machines. Overall, the price and the product were exactly what I was looking for.

The washer automatically adjusts the time needed to wash and gives a nice digital readout of time remaining. The clear lid is a nice feature to see what is happening. The large capacity helps to reduce loads, but don’t overfill!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this model figures out the amount of water needed, that is not an option for the user. so this is a different approach to which I'm am adjusting. it appears to do a good job cleaning the dirt out and i like how it adjusts the time as necessary.

I bought this machine a month ago, choosing it because of a Consumer Report account saying it was one of the best machines to buy. At first, I was frustrated because the thin manual I was given at purchase had insufficient instructions to let me know how to do anything but a normal load. I went online and watched some YouTubes to learn how to work the other features of my machine. In many ways, the buttons on this machine look more like a computer than a washing machine. For example, the instructions said to press "Pause" if a load got off kilter. Nowhere on my machine could I find the word "Pause" and I didn't know which button the manual was referring to. I learned online that the pause button looks like what is on my television remote for pausing a program. I think that if pictures were in the manual this would significantly improve the learning process to make this machine more user-friendly to the consumer, as these washing machines differ from other machines I have owned. So far, I am very pleased with how well it is cleaning my clothes.
