Add detergent, turn it on.. my part was complete till the end of the cycle! It was a little difficult to get used to the lid locking. I like the way it balances the clothes even before the cycle starts to prevent having to re-arrange wet unbalanced clothes mid-cycle!!

Rose read the instructions and found them to be clear and useful It is quiet and does an excellent job of cleaning clothes. It dries clothes so well that the dryer takes very little time now. And it looks very handsome. We chose it based on Consumer Reports ratings.

We selected this because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. After three weeks our experience is: 1: It is very sensitive to an unbalanced load; normally terminating the spin cycle. Luckily, there is the ability to start a new spin cycle. 2: Clothes are still wringing wet after completion of the spin cycle; it is not as thorough as we’ve seen previously. 3: The washer takes longer than our previous experience to complete a cycle; last week one cycle took 90 minutes and the clothes were still wringing wet. 4: The timer is miss-leading. Some times it will jump several minutes at a time up or down. Sometimes it will indicate the same time remaining without changing for several minutes.

I am amazed with the self balance feature. I also love the timer which let's you see how much time is left in your cycle. The spin cycles really extract the water. I am telling you, this washer has cut my laundry time in half. I bought the washer with the see through lid. It is awesome. I enjoy watching it self balance. If you are on the fence about a washer get this one. I read the reviews, LG was the winner.

My new LG Direct Drive/Agitator machine is 10 times the machine that I just replaced. This machine is quiet, and very fast. I am over the top happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a front load that broke. I knew I wanted to go back to top load. I was skeptical about buying a washer with an agitator. However, the agitator is fine. I didn't want to spend a fortune, or have all kinds of fancy features. The washer has great feature settings. Just what I need and wanted. The drum is a good size for average loads. The only downside to the washer is that it doesn't fiil with enough water with average to larger loads unless you set it to the deep wash setting. The warranty on this washer is great also. Overall I am satisfied with this washing machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a thorough researcher and opted for this LG as the brand continually is rated high and wanted a top load (call me old school). Worked fine and seemed to do the job. Ask me now, 5 months later and I couldn’t recommend it less. Drain pump seemed to go out and also water fill sensor as well since while diagnosing the draining problem, filled it with some leftover water and it just wouldn’t stop. I wanted to be “nice” and give 2 stars but that said fair but big issue rising 5 months in isn’t good. Also dealing with the warranty and waiting another already 10 days for a replacement since that’s really there only option since there are no authorized repair services open or around which we waited over a week for that result. All told, about 2 weeks in and still waiting. Not good. And not fun having to drive to wash clothes…. :/

Since we have only had this washer since the end of January 2023, an evaluation of long-term reliability is not possible, but we are quite satisfied with the unit thus far. Our laundry room is right off the kitchen, so we really appreciate the fact that it runs so quietly (probably due to the direct-drive motor). A few features I would like to mention are the soft-close, glass lid, the display of minutes left in the cycle and the dispenser drawer for detergent and softener. The washer offers a wide variety of cycles/settings in order to address the types of items being washed, and the control panel features several cycle-modifier options. However, I found the manual that came with the washer to be inadequate. The owner’s manual that can be downloaded from the LG website is a much more complete document, and in my opinion, it should have been supplied with the machine. The website manual is an absolute necessity if one is to understand how this washer actually works. For example, the website manual describes how to wash a load of clothes with a higher water level than that prescribed by the machine. I think that the automatic water level is often too low, so I generally use the option to add water. We hope for many years of trouble-free operation.
