With other detergents, particularly with the dyed and scented ones, I broke out like crazy! I’m talking about rashes and hives all over my body. With this detergent, it effectively cleans clothes and also whites without the use of bleach, and doesn’t bother my skin. Although my clothes aren’t fragrant coming out the dryers with this detergent, they’re still fresh and clean-smelling.

I have been using Tide Free and Gentle for years due to my skin sensitivities/allergies and my daughter's eczema/allergies. My adult daughter has continued using Tide Free and Gentle, but she has had a horrible eczema flare up (itching, swelling, rash, burning) since June 2024 on parts of her body that she doesn't usually get eczema. She has been miserable and hasn't changed any of the products she's used for years. I started researching the products we use and discovered that the ingredients in Tide Free and Gentle changed around May 2024. What exactly was changed or added??

Gotta add my voice to the outcry of hives here, in the hopes that the company acknowledges that they messed up here. I've never in my life had such a horrible reaction to a product, and it took me weeks and weeks to figure it out. Why would I ever suspect a product that is supposed to be ok for sensitive skin? Multiple rounds of steroids later and I'm facing long term damage to the skin on my face because of this. It's appalling that companies are able to do this and get away with it. And no, I don't want to be told to call a soulless corporate phone number and condescended that this formula change doesn't cause this when there appears to be ample evidence to the contrary.

Loved it that is concentrated and it works wonders leaving my clothes very clean and no residue. These last years I have an issue with my skin breaking out fast and I notice that using tide free and gentle laundry detergent my skin is no longer suffering. Sad that it doest have any smell but amazed of the idea that helps control any breakouts. I recommend this product to any one to try, you will love it, Tide always have great quality products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soap bursted. When I received this product the outermost packaging was damaged. Detergent leaking from the unopened box. Apart from not being able the enjoy the soap my clothes are clean. Yayyy.

I've used different tide products in the past (used the pods for years), but this clean and simple liquid detergent seems to work best on my clothes. I run it with cold water on my colors and my clothes always come out fresh with no leftover detergent residue, ready for the dryer. I feel comfortable using this on my quality pieces that are machine washable, and will continue to use.

my bottles the detergent is more amber color than I remember the past formulas, I only use to the 1 mark and my clothes are all ruined. I tried scrubbing stains out and doing several washes, even vinegar washes. It's like someone put epoxy on my clothes. I also noticed in one of the bottles some white globs as if the formula isn't stable. While the other bottle doesn't seem to have this it still left stains on my clothes.

It works well at cleaning my clothes and making them smell nice without being overpowering. This free and gentle brand works just as good, but I can't fully say it's made a huge difference than the regular brand . It's a great laundry detergent that's affordable though and I like how it's gentle and meant for those with sensitive skin

I love Tide, but the chemicals in the regular formula are too harsh for my sensitive skin, thank you so much for this fragrance free one! I actually had to switch brands to another product line that offered fragrance free....though I wasn't particularly pleased with the wash results. Now, I'm back to my old friend Tide...in a fragrance free.
