First, my very expensive cuisinart's blade assembly broke and could not be replaced.then the Black and Decker I bought stopped working. I decided to get the Kitchenaid Classic for two reasons: 1] happy with every other Kitchenaid product I own and 2] made in USA. So far I am very pleased.it is heavy, easy to use and easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife much preferred the previous blender that we had but which simply pooped out on us. The lid, as but one example, does NOT stay on during the blending process, and the controls are not purpose labeled (as was the case in the earlier unit). My wife's summary is that this unit just appears 'cheap.' This is probably NOT what you wanted to hear but I am thinking of calling you and asking if we could swap this unit for the more expensive one that offered a 5 year, as opposed to a one year, warranty.

I have been an advocate of kitchenaid for many years, as soon as I learned how to use my mother's Kitchenaid Stand mixer. This blender does everything and more that I want it to., and I will probably never purchase anything else. Even my refrigerator and dishwasher are Kitchenaid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a wedding shower gift and it is awesome. Makes smoothies so easily and fast and it isn't as loud as other blenders. The base is very heavy. The blending cup is plastic, not glass. But it doesn't come apart for cleaning. But blending soapy water is a very easy way to clean. It chops ice and frozen fruit very easily.
