My veterinarian recommended I put my 1 year-old cat on this product beacause of idiopathic urinary tract disease, since it has been shown to relax the muscles in the urinary tract. I just open the capsule and top dress his food with it. He eats it right up! Plus, by using cosequin, I have the added benefit of my cat having healthy joints!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review may not be fair but I am at a loss as to what to do. I have four senior cats, one of whom is overweight. She has shown signs of difficulty engaging in activities that she used to do with ease. Maybe it's the diet she's fed, preferring kibble to the moist food she gets every day, but I cannot seem to get any of my cats to consume the tablet. I've sprinkled it on wet and she, along with the others, refuse it. So, I tried putting it in a pill pocket for the heavier cat but she won't eat that either. I don't know if this is fair, but I am unable to give a positive review after my inability to deliver the product to my pet(s).

I have a 1 year old cat, who has developed a rare but serious urinary tract disease. He has been on multiple prescriptions, including Feline Cosequin. For an unknown reason, the Cosequin has kept his urinary symptoms at bay foe two months now. The veterinarians don't really know WHY the Cosequin helps these cats (as it is usually used for joint issues), but it has really helped. Moreover, SmartPaks are fool-proof to use, theer is no mess, and my cat gobbles the Cosequin right up! My shipments have arrived on time- every time, and the customer service is outstanding!!! My 12 year old cat was getting a bit stiff in the hindquarters, and she would hiss whenever getting petted on her back half. I thought she might be sore, so I started her on Cosequin. Within a week she was spry again and ok with petting all over! I'm so glad this was available for cats. I just mix it with her wet food and she eats it right up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The capsules are pink and clear white. 3/4" long. The clear / white side says COSEQUIN, the pink side says FELINE. The clear white side holds the product while the pink side is the closer side. The product is in a powdery form. There are 80 capsules in this container. When I first opened the bottle, I immediately thought, "These look like Equate Allergy relief capsules that I buy instead of Benadryl." Even though I keep our pets' items in a separate area, I wrote on the bottle "for Kitty" so my family won't get confused in a hurry moment. The bottle instructions say, "Under 10 lbs - 1 capsule sprinkled on food daily. Over 10 lbs - 2 capsules sprinkled on food daily." I break open a capsule and mix it with a little bit of water and then place it on her dry food. I start with one tablet and progress to two so she adjusts to the new taste of her food. Kitty is a 17 year old calico who is a picky eater (prefers dry food) with a sensitive nose. I thought for sure she would avoid the areas with the sprinkles. To my surprise, she ate the sprinkled areas without hesitation.

I've noticed comments about difficulty getting your cat to take this. What I do is open a bunch of the capsules and mix/stir it in to a full can of wet food. Then replace the food into the can. Each night I give my old girl a teaspoon or so. She gobbles it right up. That works for us, anyway.

Only have had this great product for a few weeks but it seems to be working well, our Cat Tazy is getting around better and getting up to explore again through our home coming out to visit our Family as she used to, I well continue to buy this product Cosequin Maximum Strength as it really works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 10yr old male cat who is starting to slow down a bit and his joints are starting to snap crackle and pop. In full disclosure I have only had this product for about 2 weeks and it says for maximum results the trial period is 4 to 6 weeks. I have been giving it to him with his evening meal, I have found it is easier to just "pill" it and drop it in the back of his mouth, he tolerates it well and goes right back to eating. I tried sprinkling it on his food but found it to be more trouble, at first I spilled the contents of the capsule, then the other issue was my younger cat who is a fast eater and will dig into his bowl once she is done with hers. So far he does seem to walk and move around a bit quicker, he has never been to much of a jumper, even as a kitten he was always pretty mellow. So far I am pleased with the results, I will keep giving it to him and I hope by the time the trial period is up he will be running again.

My "stray" male cat, Fang, has been hanging out w/my horses 14 yrs. 3 mos ago he appeared barely able to walk. The LF & LR legs appear crushed/broken. I had little hope for his survival, but after putting him on Cosequin for Cats I began to see amazing results in a few days. Honestly! He will never walk right again, but is now able to get around. I am in awe of this product.
