I really improved in metabolism and energy. I have tired and like the variety of flavors. I drink it cold, over ice and as a shake. My doctor encouraged the continued addition of ensure into my lifestyle. Sometimes is I don't want a meal I am satisfied with my drink of choice. I really like that it is easy on my digestive system. Not only does nursing make me thirsty but it burns a lot of calories and depletes my vitamin and nutrient supply. So, I have been drinking it every day for 21 years now and I absolutely LOVE the new Banana Nut flavor. I usually get the Strawberry & Butter Pecan flavors, but now that they've come out with the Banana Nut, I don't think I could ever get tired of it. I know I'm reviewing the original Ensure, but their Peach & Blueberry Pomegranate flavors of the Ensure Clear are also really good if you want a change sometimes.

My wife passed away in June of this year from pneumonia and Afib. While in the hospital she was given Ensure with a light breakfast, to provide much needed vitamin content as she had not been eating. During her stay she started to gain weight and strength. She was instructed to continue with Ensure. It was unfortunate that two weeks later she passed away from heart failure. I continue drink an Ensure to this day.

The reason Ensure is an essential part of his diet and keeps him healthy is because he requires an amount of protein in his diet that he is unable to get by just eating alone.
