Great tasting, perfect for hamburger cook-out for family gatherings. We added our favorite seasonings, just because we wanted to, not because we had to.

I work from home therefore I make ALL my meals at home. Thus, my 3 dogs are on a 70% raw diet therefore WE eat a lot of meat. The 9lbs - 10lbs ground chuck chub provide meat for myself and my 3 dogs for about 1 month. I cut it down into about 2 or 3 lbs rolls and freeze. Once, we need more chub I thaw over night and we eat the next day.

Great quality 80/20 hamburger for a great price. Work great for hamburgers or anything. I made hamburgers out of half the tube and packaged them for the freezer and browned the rest to package in pound packs to save time when I need it for spaghetti sauce or whatever recipes call for browned hamburger. This is a great timesaver.

I usually buy this tube of ground beef when I make chili, but sometimes just to repackage and freeze for smaller meals. Because this is 80/20, there is more fat in it. Since I am making chili with it, the fat is not too much of a problem, but I do drain some of it off. For an all around, inexpensive way to purchase ground chuck, this is a great option.

So I bought a pkg that showed 10.2 pounds of 80/20. I cooked the whole pkg and packaged it in one pound packages to freeze. Out of that 10.02 lb pkg I only got 7 pounds of cooked beef. I even weighed the grease that cooked off of it and it only accounted for a half pound. So there was no way that pkg could have been 10.02 pounds. They are either intentionally mislabeling their meat or they have very faulty weighing equipment. Not happy that with beef so expensive already they are overcharging their customers.
