Very Pleased

Having shopped for a smaller inverter generator for some time I decided on the iGen2550DFc and very satisfied with my decision. I ticks all the boxes I was looking for in a small job site and camping generator. It starts easily, handles all the loads I was needing and is portable enough to carry where needed. Overall Very Pleased !

Complicated online registration

One cannot get the free bonus generator cover unless you know how to navigate a complicated review and registration process. One must apparently know how to use a third party connection and understand the jargon requested. I do not so am not able to use the site to obtain the cover. Maybe a phone call will suffice? The generator itself looks great but will know more after it gets used. Instructions are very good.

Light weight, pretty quiet.

A friend has one, likes it, so I bought one. Had a predator 9000 before because we had a much larger rv. That piece was very loud and weighed 200 pounds. I like the light weight on this but I think Westinghouse should automatically include the different jets as part of the purchase.

just started my igen 2550c for the first time

first start up and wow it started on the second pull, was totally suprised how quiet it ran. oh it was off eco mode, flipped the switch on and it just purred, love it. toggled a 600 then 1200 watt load and it ran beautifully. the machine ran so smooth and vibration free. I am 100% delighted with this Westinghouse Inverter generator.

Reliable and Light Weight

Westinghouse iGen2550 inverter generator is reliable and efficient, I like it's dual fuel capability while camping with the RV.  I purchased two lightweight generators to give me the 4000+ Watts to run the AC.  I went with 2 2550's for the weight in getting them in and out of the pickup truck by myself. They are easy to start and relatively fuel efficient depending on the load.  I wish the gas tank was larger so they would run all day so I only had to fill them twice a day

starts in one pull. light, quiet

I bought this a few days ago and took it out of the box today. After adding oil and reading how to operate, it started right away. It's quiet, very light. I am gonna love this for my camper. Much quieter than most generators this size. I love the rubber tray on top as well. Can't wait to use this with my camper.

Convenient generator for occasional boondocking!

Wanted a small generator that would be easy to lift in and out of pickup truck bed for a long road trip from Arizona through western Canada. This will supplement our solar/lithium battery system during our boondocking days/nights, and wanted dual fuel for flexibility. Already own 2 of Westinghouse's larger model, iGen4500DF. All are a great value compared to other brands!

Always need electricity.

Westinghouse investors are great.

This is my second Igen I have had a igen 4500 which has been trouble free and provided great storm relief and power for off grid trips. I upgraded my RV and wanted to have 50A power adding the igen 2550 was perfect can run both for 50A power or still use them individually with just a 50/30A reducer. Can't be happier with my Westinghouse products.

iGen2550DFc Portable Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator

Initially I purchased a larger Inverter Generator (130+ lbs), but quickly realized that I would be better served by having 2 smaller, portable units for my RV usage (43 lbs). Reasonable noise level. Also very helpful for home usage during power outages. Quite versatile and convenient. Can be carried back on my property to run equipment away from the house.

Minnesota trials!
2 out of 5 stars review

Very new to be having issues!

The inverter model I wanted for a fuel savings for smaller and more frequent use. I've only had it a little over 2 weeks and it's having trouble staying running until it warms up. It's July in the US (not cold) so this makes me concerned about using it in a Minnesota Winter (it will be well below freezing). I'm following all the rules so I'd expect to not have any issues so soon. It does dip gas when it's going and it uses a fraction of the fuel compared to my large Predator model. I'm not sure about the sound level but if that's the volume people talk even on eco mode, people have loud conversations. Are we talking about people having a conversation across a bar, in a stadium, sure quieter, in a coffee shop or same table in a family style restaurant, nope. In a Library no way! It is a lot quieter than my large generator and is tolerable that way though. The power output is stable and plenty for most things for me to run for longer spans of time in a cost effective way. During the break in period I've kept low, just a TV, fan, and charging phones and such. The real test will be after break in when I try power tools, and larger demanding situations.
