This vacuum was powerful and effective on my hardwood floor and short rug surfaces. It is important to note that dog hair is a factor in my home and this vacuum easily cleaned these surfaces. I especially loved the lift off feature to make the vacuum more mobile. The one downside of this vacuum is its ability to clean shag carpet. We had a longer carpet which the brush kept catching on making it difficult to clean productively. Overall, this is a great vacuum especially with dog/pet hair. I would absolutely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a fan of the CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum! I liked that it was very quick & easy to assemble and also loved that it was pretty lightweight, especially for the power it has. I have a number of different surfaces to clean in my house and it was equally effective across all of them including hardwoods, tile, area rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting. It was easy to switch the settings when moving from one surface to a different one. The accessories were helpful, especially in cleaning a couch (love my dog, but she leaves lots of hair!) as well as on our stairs. I didn't have to "go over" any areas a second time because the suction was great. It was a tad quieter than my previous vacuum, but definitely lighter which was nice. One recommendation I'd make is to make the front of the vacuum base angle more narrow so it fits under kitchen cabinets. It didn't go under mine, which wasn't the end of the world since I could easily lift off the wand and clean under the doors. However, it is obviously quicker/easier without using wand. Vacuum clogged up and roller fell apart in less than 6 months of use. Older model worked better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble out of the box. Quieter and lighter than my other vacuums. Only Downfall is emptying the canister after only vacuuming 1 floor of my house. Overall love it!
