The design of this vacuum is a typical upright vacuum style, and easy to maneuver and handle around corners, edges and back and forth. It's definitely a substantial feeling vacuum, but not too bulky or heavy that it can't be carried up and down stairs. It does a great job lifting pet hair off the carpet and grabbing everything that accumulates on our hardwood and tile floors. You can tell that it's picking up a lot because the dirt tank fills up quickly! I also appreciate that emptying the dirty tank is very simple and, while I haven't had to do it yet, the separator, motor filter, and foam filter look really easy to clean. One of my favorite features is the fact that his vacuum is so versatile - it's great for floors, but it also has the hose and extension wand with tool attachments to customize your cleaning needs (example, getting under couches or vacuuming stairs). Overall, you can tell it's a very well-built and well-designed vacuum that can handle the rigor of a messy and active home!

So much so, that when I got this vacuum, my husband’s first comment was, “Another vacuum!?” Yes, another vacuum. What can I say? I love a tidy home. Overall, I like the Bissel Clean View Max vacuum. When I took the vacuum out of the box, my first thoughts were that it was very easy to assemble, the materials were sleek and lightweight and I liked the color scheme. I use the vacuum throughout my house on tile, carpets in bedrooms and throw rugs. I use it multiple times a day, after meals in my kitchen, since I have young kids that tend to make large messes during meals. It’s convenient and quick and I find that it’s way more effective and easier than using a broom. The thing I appreciate most about this vacuum is the suction power. It’s strong and effective and the vacuum makes satisfying lines and markings in the carpet. I love that! Plus, there’s nothing better than seeing your progress in the collection chamber. I also like that it has an option for suction strength based on your carpet pile and length. It has a button to turn the roller brush on and off depending on the surface you’re working on. This was especially helpful for my front door mat that is usually nearly impossible vacuum without the vacuum getting stuck. This was not the case with the Bissel Clean View Max Lift Off. The roller brush is great! I can’t explain it, but things don’t tend to get caught up in it like other roller brushes. Even my hair wasn’t wrapped around and stuck to it like other vacuums. It comes with 2 attachments that I haven’t tried yet, but plan on using when I vacuum out my car next. I do like that each attachment has a holder on either side of the vacuum. The only thing I’ll mention that I didn’t love was that it felt heavy to push across my surfaces. On my tile, although it was smooth to navigate, it still felt a little heavy. On my carpeted areas, it was noticeably heavier and tougher to direct across tighter areas. I can only assume this is due to the stronger suction power which I am willing to tolerate because it seems to pick up more than my other vacuums did. There is one thing I missed on this vacuum that honestly I didn’t know I appreciated on my prior ones: a light on the front. I guess I never realized how much I relied on a light to make sure I didn’t miss a crumb, but I missed having one with this model. Overall, I’d recommend this vacuum and model specifically for the suction power and effectiveness. If you want a lightweight vacuum, this isn’t the one for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall we really liked this vacuum. We have two toddlers as well as two large dogs in our household. We have a mix of carpet, hardwoods and tiles and we felt like this vacuum could tackle messes on all floor types. I do wish it had a retractable cable but that’s a personal preference. The power on the upholstery cleaner attachment could be a little bit stronger but does the job for the most part. It’s hard to find anything strong enough to clean up after two dogs!! I did not see a difference in strength between the high carpet and low carpet settings. The manual suggests to not use the brush roll when vacuuming hardwoods and tiles but I felt that it worked better if the brush roll was turned on. By doing this, it does mean that the vacuum is fairly loud when using on anything but carpet. Overall the quality of the product is very good and is a useful vacuum for a home with numerous floor types, pets, and kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vacuum is overall pretty good. I think it does a really good job suctioning on different types of floors. I tried it on rugs, hardwood floors and tiles. It was able glide with ease across the different floors I have. The wand is convenient to get hard to reach places and is lightweight. That was probably my most favorite feature as I was able to clean things that I normally don’t get to. The large canister is also a plus as I didn’t have to empty it until I was done vacuuming my whole house. My only complaint is that I wish the vacuum was more slim and lightweight. It advertises as no more hairwrap in the spin brush. I do think it minimizes the amount of hair that gets spun in it but not completely.

I am so impressed (and grossed out) by what it's been able to lift out of our carpets that our previous vacuums have not. It's been a while since we've had a plug in vacuum and I didn't realize how much power I was sacrificing for the sake of convenience. The unit itself is a little heavy but not unmanageable. Being able to separate the base for stair vacuuming and getting into tighter spaces is very convenient and helps a lot with the weight issue. We have an even mix of hard surface floor and carpet and this vacuum does great on both. It's intuitively easy to use and gets the job done well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It was a quick and easy assembly out of the box. I was pleased by how light it is and how smooth it is as it glides across my hardwood floors. It has great suction on carpet and hardwood. The vacuum is easy to empty and I was pleased with how much it picked up. I took off two stars because the turbo brush attachment doesn't work which was a bummer as I was excited to use it on my steps. When I tried to use it the roller bar would stop spinning once any pressure was used. I tried it on multiple surface types and it did the same thing every time.

I have two dogs at home and children, so having a reliable vacuum is a must! The suction is great and picks up all the fur and all of the crumbs! It works great on both carpet and hardwood floors, even furniture! The attachments also come in handy for cleaning up tight spaces and reaching those hard to reach areas, which I absolutely love. It just makes cleaning so much easier and enjoyable! The roller is very easy to clean and the canister is very easy to empty out. Overall, this vacuum is great and I can’t recommend it enough!

I don’t consider myself incredibly handy or savvy with assembling things, but I put this together in under 3 minutes easily. I think the design is super solid, the tools make sense, and the suction is great! The cord wraps easily and conveniently and is a great length. I have three kids so there is no shortage of messes to clean up (food crumbs, dirt trekked in, etc) and this vacuum has handled it all on both hardwood and carpet. Overall I’ve been super impressed!

It comes with clear instructions on how to put it together and how to use it, along with each attachment, properly. It does have an on/off button, that is at the top of the vacuum, for easy access. My CleanView® Max Lift-Off has some powerful suction that helps clean my carpet and wood floors. The transition between the different levels and types of floors is flawless, with a strong suction at all times. This suction was able to pick up dirt, grass, gold fish and smooshed grapes just in my first vacuum! Then, when it comes time to clean out the dirt canister, just dump, clean and reattach to your CleanView® Max Lift-Off. Now, your ready for your next cleaning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off is my new favorite vacuum. It has incredible suction power and is great for our multi-pet household. We have a dog and a cat so vacuuming regularly is a necessity. Furthermore, we have a multi surface floor — lots of rugs and some hard wood. The CleanView Max Lift-Off does a really nice job on all surfaces, pivoting easily from high-pile carpet to hard wood or tile. I even used it on litter! Ordinarily, my vacuums spit the litter everywhere. This vacuum does a great job of sucking up the small particles. After one use, I was shocked at how much it picked up that my other vacuum missed! I absolutely love the way the Lift-Off can be used in multiple ways. The lift off feature, its namesake, is truly awesome and makes cleaning with the accessories a breeze. And the suction brush is the best attachment on a vac I have ever encountered. What a powerful little brush! The lift off feature makes cleaning steps or hard to navigate areas just about effortless. This vacuum is also super easy to figure out and assemble and is relatively light. It is easy to figure out and easy to clean. My only complaint is that emptying the canister is a little tough if you have compacted debris, but this is a minimal flaw and truthfully wouldn’t deter me at all from recommending this powerful machine. Overall, I cannot recommend the CleanView Max Lift-Off enough!
