Customer reviews for Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off Upright Vacuum with HEPA Sealed Allergen System forPowerhouse Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Cleanview Max Lift-Off through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am impressed by this versatile vacuum. Since it plugs in, it has a lot of power and gives a really deep clean. I especially love that the canister is detachable and it makes it so much easier to use in different areas around the house. Even when it's detached, it stands up on its own, so you don't have to awkwardly hold it while using the hose. I have a small pet that constantly tracks in grass, leaves, dirt basically whatever is outside ends up inside and this vacuum handles all of it like a champ. The main floor head swivels smoothly, which helps a lot when cleaning around furniture or getting into corners. It works just as well on hardwood as it does on carpet, and there's a switch to adjust the suction depending on the surface, plus an option to turn on the tangle free brush roller, which is really helpful because sometimes the roller may not be needed. I like having the option to control whether it is off or on. The extra attachments are a nice bonus and really make this feel like an all-in-one cleaning tool. Definitely a great find.
Makes Cleaning A Breeze
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing and setting up the Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off was a breeze—everything was clearly labeled and snapped into place without any fuss. I had it up and running in just a few minutes, which I really appreciated. One of my favorite features is how the attachments fit right onto the vacuum itself. No more running back to the closet for a tool—I always have what I need right there with me. With two big, thick-haired dogs in the house, we needed something powerful, and this vacuum absolutely delivers. It picks up pet hair like a champ, even from rugs and carpeted stairs. We also have kids with allergies and asthma, so the built-in HEPA filter was a huge selling point. It gives me peace of mind knowing it's capturing dust and allergens instead of pushing them back into the air. Despite its power, this vacuum is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver around furniture and tight spaces. The quick-release extension wand is perfect for tackling blinds, ceiling corners, and other hard-to-reach spots without dragging out a second tool. Overall, this vacuum has made cleaning so much easier and more effective. I was given this upright vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Highly recommend for pet owners and families with allergy concerns!
Handy Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm overall pretty impressed with the CleanView® Max Lift-Off. The design is sleek, not very heavy, it's intuitive and it has the tools I need to clean my house. While initially impressed by the cleaning power over my tiled floor I wasn't impressed with how it vacuumed my carpeted floors. For reference I have a boxer dog who sheds a ton, 3 kids, a husband and I'm postpartum so I'm shedding hair more than the dog. The vacuum picked up a lot of junk off the tile floors but I just didn't feel like it worked great on my carpet and it's not even plush. I felt like I had to push it harder, it didn't really glide over my carpet like my previous vacuum did, it also didn't leave the nice vacuum lines either. I looked at it adjusting the settings on the vacuum and it didn't help. I also used it over an area rug and it did ok on that. Something that surprised me was how you can detach the vacuum body from the “head” to make it easier to do tasks like floors, couches, and for me-vacuuming my car. Overall it's a nice vacuum and unless you have wall to wall carpet, you can't go wrong with this vacuum! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum.
New favorite vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan and owner of Bissell for years now. I try something different and always return or compare to my tried and true. This new lift-off vacuum has become the number grab when I need to clean up something. The design is comparable to most other models - its clean, sleek and easy to set up/clean/use. It has a little weight to it so don't expect it to be light. (I don't personally mind, heavier vacuums are stronger). The cleaning power - WOW - I had just vacuumed with my older model the day before I got this so I did a second round. The amount of dust/hair this picked up was insane. I thought they looked clean - guess I was wrong! I have 4 kids and 3 dog so this gets the job done especially on carpet. Works great on hardwood as well. You can lift off the canister from the base and move around to get places that are harder to reach or maneuver around (i.e. the stairs or on furniture). The canister is easy to empty and could be cleaned in the sink when that time comes. There are several attachments that come in handy for small areas or non floor vacuuming. Again the best thing about this vacuum is the power. It is top notch!! Much appreciation to Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this unit to try.
Powerful vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleased to receive the CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum cleaner. Upon opening the box, assembling the vacuum cleaner was simple, quick, and easy to complete by myself. The vacuum cleaner is fairly lightweight for its size. Once I got it assembled in less than 5 minutes after opening the box, I was eager to try it out on our bedroom carpets. We vacuum regularly, about once a week on average, so I was surprised at how much dirt this vacuum picked up after only one pass. I am a homeschool mom with two young sons who spend most of their day outside and track dirt and debris into the house. The suction power in the CleanView Max Lift-Off is amazing! The canister on the vacuum cleaner is easy to empty, and didn't spill any dirt onto the floors while emptying into the trash can. We have a mix of hardwoods, tile, and carpeted floors in our home, and switching between vacuuming the different types of floors is so easy. I can quickly adjust the roller off or on to go from vacuuming carpets to the tile in our bathrooms, or the hardwoods in the halls and living area. The vacuum picks up all of the crumbs off the hardwoods around the kitchen table, and also picks up the inevitable stray hairs in the bathroom floor without the brush getting tangled. I especially love the Lift-Off feature, which allows the bottom roller portion of the vacuum cleaner to detach, making it even more lightweight and compact. This combined with the long hose and attachments makes cleaning higher areas like the blinds and framing around the windows easy to reach. My son even loves to vacuum the blinds with the brush attachment. The Turbo Brush hose attachment is perfect for cleaning the stairs leading up from our basement where our primary entrance is, which has reduced the amount of dirt and debris being brought upstairs. This vacuum is powerful, easy to maneuver, and great for daily use. We often pull it out to vacuum up crumbs after meals and snacks. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this vacuum to try.
Powerful vacuum with clever designs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first glance I was impressed with this vacuum. Unboxing and assembly were a snap. Took maybe two minutes and it was ready to use. Immediately noticed how quick and easy it was to swap from one function to another and back to the full vacuum. Though I found it a bit ungainly to use the lift off version to clean stairs as it was tricky to manage the tall handle without anything falling over, I was nonetheless pleased with how much power the wand had and it performed well. We used it on hard floors and it worked quite well. On taller carpet it was a bit harder to push than expected, might be nice if the roller could be raised a bit for that surface. But, again, it did a great job of cleaning. The turning mechanism is quite nice and made it simple to get around bedside tables and chair legs, and the fact that standing up it doesn't take up much more room than a single floor tile makes it easy to store. When we used it on a thin rug the roller stopped on its own several times. I'm not sure if that's a feature or a bug, but it was not something I'd seen before. We haven't needed to clean out filters yet, but from what I can see it seems quite simple. Overall, it seems like a good vacuum despite the minor issues. I especially liked how well it cleaned. Definitely packs a punch for its size.
Powerful and great swivel, but heavy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum was a breeze to assemble and use. Straight out of the box it showed awesome power at attacking dirt and dog hair on hard surfaces and carpet. The vacuum is sleek and easy to roll, and my favorite feature was how the body swivels unlike any I have seen before which made maneuvering around obstacles easy-peasy! My ten year-old handled it well and commented on how simple it made his chores. The attachments are useful and conveniently stored on the sides. I did run into a minor issue with area rugs that were not secured to the floor, as the rollers would stop turning until the vacuum was turned off and on again. It also is significantly heavier than the cordless stick vacuums I am accustomed to. I struggled to carry it up a flight of stairs, though it would be just fine for one-level usage. Overall, this vacuum proved mighty enough for my kid and animal-filled household and will be a great addition to our cleaning routine!
Great power in light, quiet package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is posted as part of the stellar product testing panel. We have children ages 2 and 4 and a golden retriever so we put a vacuum through its paces on a daily basis. The Bissell clean view max lift off lives up to its name. Setup was super easy, and my preschooler figured out how to turn it on and use the upholstery attachment by himself. Despite being lighter and quieter than our former vacuum (which I thought I loved) it gets so much more off of our floors with less time and effort. I vacuumed a rug with our old vacuum, figured it was just showing some wear in certain areas, and then vacuumed it again with the Bissell. The rug was a different shade once I finished, and the canister was 1/3 full of dirt that the old vacuum missed. It does equally well on hard floors with tiny crumbs as it does on carpet with dog fur. The upholstery cleaner is also very helpful and did great on our couch. My only slight quibble is the attachments fall off their storage pegs fairly easily when vacuuming but that's not a big deal.
Easy to maneuver; powerful hose attachment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With 3 school aged children, a dog, 2 cats, and a couple of guinnea pigs, my mostly hardwood 19th century house is always dirty with kid messes and animal hair. As my current vacuum is not effective in removing these messes, I was very happy to receive this vacuum from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. First impressions are it's very comfortable to use and push around on carpet, large area rugs, and hard floor surfaces. I have wide gaps in between my old wood floors and I was ecstatic the hose attachment with crevice tool sucked up most of what has settled in there with one pass. The comfortable grip handle, quite motor, and swivel base are also appreciated and the hose attachment being connected to the handle for more ergonomic and precise vacuuming, like under furniture and along baseboards, is really helpful. The HEPA filter and dirt canister are each easy to remove as well. Just a small thing, but a nice touch, is the writing on the handle oriented toward the user when vacuuming to choose bare floor or carpeting. A few drawbacks are vacuum foot with the beater needed many passes over hard floors that had debris like dried leaves and grass (brought in by pets and kids) so I would only use the hose attachment for those types of messes. Speaking of kids, my 9 and 11 year olds assembled the vacuum out of the box in about 5 minutes! All in all, a great easy to use vacuum that I'm looking forward to using regularly.
Overall Good but Could Use Some UX Improvements
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the box, I thought the vacuum looked nice. The design is rather simple; I wouldn't say this is the most aesthetically pleasing vacuum on the market. I used the vacuum on hardwood surfaces and a large area rug, cleaning mostly dust and crumbs. The suction power was good, and the wheels (made of rubber) rolled smoothly. I liked that they are made of rubber because it was noticeably quiet when vacuuming on hard surfaces. When looking for a vacuum, I always look for something bagless and easy to clean. This vacuum checked both boxes. The dirt cup has a large view and is easy to empty. I liked that the foam filter at the top of the dirt cup was thick but still quick-drying. I also liked having the option of using the wand and lifting the dirt cup off and being more portable. There were a few things I didn't like about the vacuum though. First, the button for the depth (i.e. plush carpet to bare floor) is a sliding switch and left me guessing. I would have preferred a sliding button with a set notch each for plush carpet, medium carpet, and low carpet/bare floor. Second, I really, really, really didn't like the location of the power button. The depth button is on the vacuum handle, but the power button is down by the top of the dirt cup. It felt really unnatural to have the power button not built into the handle. On the far left of the power toggle button, you have the off switch and then the middle and far right dictate whether or not the roller brush spins. When transitioning between the hardwood and the area rug, I didn't like that the two buttons I needed to mess with (depth and brush) were not conveniently near each other on the handle. So it was always this awkward pause to mess with the settings when switching back and forth instead of seamlessly and quickly transitioning. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum!
