[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissel Clean-View Lift Off vacuum has the functions needed to handle most average messes around the home. With two small kids, we have lots of messes! It was slightly heavier than I prefer, but had a nice long cord, it was easy to lift off and dump the collection canister and came with two helpful tools (brush and crevice wand). I'd like the option to attach the brush directly under the handle for a shorter reach to make hand and eye level cleaning easier, but we made it work with the detachable long arm feature. We use our vacuum regularly on hard floors, low and medium carpets, and for our upholstered couch. Although we don't have a pet, this vacuum could certainly easily handle all the HAIR! Overall, the feel/power of the vacuum is average, making you wonder how long it will last before losing steam. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt, however, and assume it will be around our home for quite a while. We appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving us the opportunity to try out this vacuum.

I never realized how much my old vacuum wasn't picking up until I used this one for the first time. It was disturbing how much dust and junk I had on my floors. YIKES. I love that my house feels extra clean when I use this vacuum. I love the different settings for carpet or hard floor making it convenient to clean my whole house with the one vacuum. My favorite part of this vacuum is the fact that my 4 year old can even use it efficiently. She loves to help clean and this vacuum is light weight and doesn't lift up the front end when the handle leans far back. The size is perfect so it's easy to store. I would highly recommend this upright vacuum to anyone.

I loved that there are different setting for vacuuming carpet and hardwood/solid surface floors so that the main brush stops spinning so you don't scratch up your floors. The tangle-free spin brush is an amazing feature, especially in a household with 4 girls. Not having to cut hair from the spin brush has been life-changing. Being able to easily lift the vacuum off the base and release the wand in order to clean my stairs is a pretty cool feature. The thing that sold me on it though was when I vacuumed my area rug immediately after vacuuming with my other vacuum. I couldn't believe all that it had sucked up that was left behind by my other vacuum. I had to take a picture as proof. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissel CleanView Max Lift off is a great vacuum, from opening the box, putting it together, and using it, the experience has been intuitive and easy. My daughter and I have below the waist length hair and we traditionally have issues with vacuums getting hung up, but this vacuum has stayed the course over the past three weeks of every other day use. We also have a dog and a cat and it has done great picking up all the hair they may drop. My only complaint, is that I cannot easily access the area where the filter is in the vortex chamber. This made it difficult to empty the canister because I sucked up a dart and it trapped all the debris up at the top. I eventually figured out how to get the stuff from being lodged up top (I banged the canister on the carpeted floor to dislodge the stuff. Overall, this vacuum really sucks! It's powerful enough to do a good job picking up dirt and cat litter and cleaning the hair out of my rugs. I would definitely recommend for pet owners. It also cleaned the hardwoods well without blowing crumbs all over the place. It has a tight turn radius, which I love. It's nice and swivel-y. I didn't find myself using the lift-off feature, but it's nice to have. Overall, I'm happy with the vacuum and I think it's replacing my previous vacuums as my daily user. The lift-off feature is especially useful transforming it from an upright vacuum to a portable cleaner which was perfect for my staircase and my couches. I used the vacuum primarily to clean up dog hair and crumbs on the floor on both carpets and hardwood floors. The Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an affordable and efficient vacuum with maximum cleaning power. TLDR - It's a solid replacement for your primary vacuum if you're in a smaller home with carpet + hardwood + pets. If you have carpeted stairs - this one is a MUST. The main drawbacks are weight (it's quite heavy without using the lift off feature), and the chamber size, which is mostly adequate for cleaning around 1,500 sq feet at a time (not necessarily ideal if you have a massive house with lots of pets). After using the CleanView® Max Lift-Off for 2 weeks, here are my honest thoughts: PROS: - Assembly - 5/5 - SUPER easy. You can basically fit all of the parts together right out of the box, and there's a helpful guide attached to the handle if you happen to need some tips. - Suction - 4/5 - Great. I felt like the hardwood suction and carpet suction were both solid. The primary reason for not giving it a 5/5 is because of the clunkiness of the vacuum head which takes away from suction effectiveness (noted more below) - Lift-Off Feature - 5/5 - LOVED this for cleaning my carpeted stairs. Was also helpful on our larger fabric sectional. I feel like if you have carpeted stairs you dread cleaning, this is the product for you. - Durability - Seems pretty durable, as is the case with all my Bissell products. I love the brand in general and find that it's a great investment for a mid-range priced product. - Cleaning the chamber - 5/5 - Again, super easy, as is the case with all Bissell products I've used CONS: - Heavy - The vacuum itself is heavy. It's definitely something you'd be using as your more heavy duty vaccum. Which brings me to my next point... - Chamber size - while easy to clean, the chamber itself needed a refresh after cleaning around 1,000 sq feet of carpet + hardwood with 2 furry dogs at home. If your house is on the bigger size, you might find yourself cleaning it out a few times in a single session. FWIW, I vacuum regularly (around 2-3 times per week). - Clunkiness - In addition to the weight, the front of the vacuum head seems somewhat clunky, it wasn't great for hard to reach spaces or under counter edges. It also felt a little loud / strange to maneuver over hardwood. Not as smooth as my older Bissell model I've been using for a while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the Cleanview Max Lift-Off vacuum to test as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, I was pleased with this vacuum. It is sleek and compact, which is great for homes with less storage space. I have two cats, a dog, and two kids under the age of seven, so there are always messes in our house! I feel like this vacuum did a nice job of collecting the fur that is always in our carpet and the scraps of paper from various art projects. I really liked how easy the canister was to remove and empty, and how I could easily see when it was starting to get full. I am still working with the settings to determine the best one for our carpet, because sometimes it did feel a bit hard to push. The vacuum was also used on our kitchen tile when I dropped a glass container and it shattered everywhere. It did a nice job of sucking up the glass pieces I had missed with the broom, and it did not seem to just push them around the floor. My chief complaint would be the cord, both length and positioning. We have a fairly large living room, and I did have to unplug and move to a different plug with this vacuum because the cord was not long enough to reach the whole room. In addition, the cord sits very low on the vacuum (see photo), so any back-and-forth movement with the vacuum would result in the cord being caught up under the vacuum. This was solved by holding the cord closer to the handle, but just something to be aware of. I would recommend this vacuum for someone looking for a compact vacuum that still does the job!

It looks like a basic vacuum, but it works wonderfully! This vacuum is easy to maneuver around furniture, and comes with a lot of helpful attachments. I used it on hardwood floors, carpet, and a thick area rug, and it worked great on all of them. With multiple kids leaving a mess around, this vacuum had awesome cleaning power for all the messes. It's also a good size as it holds a lot of dirt and dust, but still fits into my small front closet for storage. My favorite feature is the rotating brush that works really well on thick, plush carpet but can be turned off for hardwood floors.
