Great All Around Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great all around, upright vacuum with multiple different settings for different floors. It looks like a basic vacuum, but it works wonderfully! This vacuum is easy to maneuver around furniture, and comes with a lot of helpful attachments. I used it on hardwood floors, carpet, and a thick area rug, and it worked great on all of them. With multiple kids leaving a mess around, this vacuum had awesome cleaning power for all the messes. It's also a good size as it holds a lot of dirt and dust, but still fits into my small front closet for storage. My favorite feature is the rotating brush that works really well on thick, plush carpet but can be turned off for hardwood floors. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum.
Powerful, compact upright
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid vacuum. It's pretty compact for an upright and fits into my small closet. It's powerful enough to do a good job picking up dirt and cat litter and cleaning the hair out of my rugs. I would definitely recommend for pet owners. It also cleaned the hardwoods well without blowing crumbs all over the place. It has a tight turn radius, which I love. It's nice and swivel-y. I didn't find myself using the lift-off feature, but it's nice to have. Overall, I'm happy with the vacuum and I think it's replacing my previous vacuums as my daily user. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me review this vacuum!
A good replacement for your heavy duty vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this product as part of a stellar review panel. TLDR - It's a solid replacement for your primary vacuum if you're in a smaller home with carpet + hardwood + pets. If you have carpeted stairs - this one is a MUST. The main drawbacks are weight (it's quite heavy without using the lift off feature), and the chamber size, which is mostly adequate for cleaning around 1,500 sq feet at a time (not necessarily ideal if you have a massive house with lots of pets). After using the CleanView® Max Lift-Off for 2 weeks, here are my honest thoughts: PROS: - Assembly - 5/5 - SUPER easy. You can basically fit all of the parts together right out of the box, and there's a helpful guide attached to the handle if you happen to need some tips. - Suction - 4/5 - Great. I felt like the hardwood suction and carpet suction were both solid. The primary reason for not giving it a 5/5 is because of the clunkiness of the vacuum head which takes away from suction effectiveness (noted more below) - Lift-Off Feature - 5/5 - LOVED this for cleaning my carpeted stairs. Was also helpful on our larger fabric sectional. I feel like if you have carpeted stairs you dread cleaning, this is the product for you. - Durability - Seems pretty durable, as is the case with all my Bissell products. I love the brand in general and find that it's a great investment for a mid-range priced product. - Cleaning the chamber - 5/5 - Again, super easy, as is the case with all Bissell products I've used CONS: - Heavy - The vacuum itself is heavy. It's definitely something you'd be using as your more heavy duty vaccum. Which brings me to my next point... - Chamber size - while easy to clean, the chamber itself needed a refresh after cleaning around 1,000 sq feet of carpet + hardwood with 2 furry dogs at home. If your house is on the bigger size, you might find yourself cleaning it out a few times in a single session. FWIW, I vacuum regularly (around 2-3 times per week). - Clunkiness - In addition to the weight, the front of the vacuum head seems somewhat clunky, it wasn't great for hard to reach spaces or under counter edges. It also felt a little loud / strange to maneuver over hardwood. Not as smooth as my older Bissell model I've been using for a while.
The vacuum I didn't know I needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, this thing sucks in the best way possible. I am so impressed (and grossed out) by what it's been able to lift out of our carpets that our previous vacuums have not. It's been a while since we've had a plug in vacuum and I didn't realize how much power I was sacrificing for the sake of convenience. The unit itself is a little heavy but not unmanageable. Being able to separate the base for stair vacuuming and getting into tighter spaces is very convenient and helps a lot with the weight issue. We have an even mix of hard surface floor and carpet and this vacuum does great on both. It's intuitively easy to use and gets the job done well. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to add this vacuum to our collection and clean routine! We are very pleased with it!
Powerful vacuum with clever designs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first glance I was impressed with this vacuum. Unboxing and assembly were a snap. Took maybe two minutes and it was ready to use. Immediately noticed how quick and easy it was to swap from one function to another and back to the full vacuum. Though I found it a bit ungainly to use the lift off version to clean stairs as it was tricky to manage the tall handle without anything falling over, I was nonetheless pleased with how much power the wand had and it performed well. We used it on hard floors and it worked quite well. On taller carpet it was a bit harder to push than expected, might be nice if the roller could be raised a bit for that surface. But, again, it did a great job of cleaning. The turning mechanism is quite nice and made it simple to get around bedside tables and chair legs, and the fact that standing up it doesn't take up much more room than a single floor tile makes it easy to store. When we used it on a thin rug the roller stopped on its own several times. I'm not sure if that's a feature or a bug, but it was not something I'd seen before. We haven't needed to clean out filters yet, but from what I can see it seems quite simple. Overall, it seems like a good vacuum despite the minor issues. I especially liked how well it cleaned. Definitely packs a punch for its size.
Will get the job done, but not the best choice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this upright vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was super excited to give this vacuum a try on both my carpet and hard surfaces. It's a I was given this upright vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was super excited to give this vacuum a try on both my carpet and hard surfaces. It's a solid vacuum that seems to be made of quality parts. But overall I was sadly disappointed. The biggest drawback and really a dealbreaker for me is the length of the cord. Compared to my normal vacuum I estimate the cord is a least 3 feet shorter which I noticed immediately when I couldn't vacuum as many rooms. Having to change plugs more often is really inconvenient, especially when I have a vacuum that will allow me to reach more rooms. The suction is not the strongest, especially when used on hard surfaces. I had to go over a piece of debris numerous times before it picked it up. If I compare how much it picks up (based on the canister) vs my current vacuum it's picking up far less. I have dogs and children and want to be sure my time vacuuming is well spent and actually picking up all of their dirt and fur! Unfortunately this vacuum underperformed. One benefit is that it came with a soft brush attachment which I found to be helpful cleaning vents and the wood trim on my staircase. But beyond that it did not prove to be a superior vacuum or one I could highly recommend.
A great vacuum cleaner!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off that I received as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, is a great vacuum! The first thing I used it on was my stairs using the Turbo Brush Tool. Its great for stairs as you can remove the base to make the vacuum lighter to carry up and down the stairs while vacuuming. The turbo brush tool made my carpet feel super clean. The suction on the vacuum is great and powerful but not too powerful that it makes it hard to push. I used the whole vacuum to clean the carpet in my upstairs rooms. I noticed a huge difference in the tangle free roller compared to other vacuums that I have had. The tangle free roller really helped get up hair and thread from my sewing room without it getting stuck in the roller. I really enjoy that the dust catcher is clear so I can see when it is full and how much dust and debris the vacuum picked up. I love the handle on the vacuum as well. It felt great in my hand and my hand didn't get fatigued while cleaning. I used it on both carpet, hard vinyl flooring and my area rug and it worked great on all 3 surfaces! The only issue I had was with the cord moving around while vacuuming. it has a slot for it to rest in near the handle but I could not get it to stay there. Definitely not a deal breaker on this vacuum though! This is a great vacuum cleaner for anyone looking to keep their house clean!
It really sucks!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum. Everywhere on the vacuum's box, it said the suction is great! Yes, it is! It really sucks!! I vacuumed my floors with my old upright vacuum and our robot vacuum before using this, and it sucked up so much dust, dirt, and whatever else it could find! It has no bells and whistles, it's pretty simple, but I have found that that means they really put their efforts towards the things that matter most - suction and versatility. I like the look and design of this vacuum - black with some blue. It rolls really smoothly making it easy to push on any surface! I have 6 children, 3 dogs (2 are puppies!), and a cat. This vacuum worked amazingly for every mess my family made! We have all types of flooring - hard floors, carpeting, and area rugs. There wasn't a single flooring type it didn't work well on! My favorite feature on this vacuum is the hose. I was able to use it to clean the baseboards, fans, and books and crevices that were hard to reach. I would definitely recommend this vacuum!
Great Cleaning Power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box this was super easy to piece together, no tools required. I like that the vacuum is tall enough to be comfortable for me to use, I am 5'9". It's a nice looking machine, with clearly marked, large buttons for all controls, without any added unsightly colors. The foot is not overly wide, I find it fits under the edges of everything I have with ease. My favorite feature was the most amazing flexibility that it has with tight turns! The handle leans way down sideways to easily make low clearance corners. I found it has great cleaning power on carpet and tiled floors, it cleaned up everything I tried with ease, including hair, lint, sand and dry food crumbles. The power switch is clearly marked to turn the brush on or off depending on your needs. As much as I love this as an upright vacuum, I was pretty disappointed with the lift away option. It is heavy and bulky, as the entire pod lifts off the foot in one unit. It's cumbersome with the tall handle still attached but it does clean just as well using the hand tools. This vacuum has 3 filters, a HEPA that should be replaced twice a year and 2 other filters in and on the dust receptacle that are easily rinsed out and reinstalled. All in all, this is a great upright vacuum with really easy to operate controls, easy to clean/change filters, easy to empty dust receptacle, great maneuverability and really great cleaning power. I would recommend this vacuum. I received this vacuum from Stellar Product Testing Panel for my personal use and honest opinion.
Great vacuum that actually cleans!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've struggled to find a consistent upright vacuum, going for a few different brands but never feeling fully satisfied in the clean level, often having to go over the same carpet a number of times. Then, I was given this clean view upright vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It easily picks up the dirt and pet hair from any floor (I used it on both my carpet floors and hardwood) without having to go over the area multiple times. Also, it seems to pick up more than other vacuums. The attached picture is how much it picked up from a single 8x8 carpet AFTER I went over it with my old vacuum first! The detachable hose includes two easy to use and store attachments that work well for couches and corners that the main unit can't reach. I have two cats, so being able to clean a couch is crucial for me. So far I'm very pleased with this vacuum and get to enjoy a much cleaner home!
