[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Cleanview Max Lift-off is a great versatile vacuum for any home! Our home has a mix of hardwoods, carpet, and area rugs. This vacuum worked well on each surface. With 3 kids in our house, the floors getting pretty messy, especially the kitchen. The Cleanview Max Lift-off does a great job sucking up crumbs of various sizes, although I noticed sometimes I’d need to aim the crumbs right for the center of the vacuum to get it sucked up on the first try. It sucked up tons of lint off our area rugs. I love the see-through canister-no bags!- because you know when it’s full to empty it. Emptying the canister is easy, just release the opening straight over your trash can. The wand feature is helpful for under our baseboard heating registers and in tight spaces around furniture. On of my favorite features is the “lift-off”! This makes it so easy to vacuum my stairs without carrying a heavy full size vacuum and better suction than a small handheld. My only complaint is I wish there was an additional On/Off switch was on the wand when using it in normal vacuum mode. I have a toddler who is a little scared of vacuums, so I normally hold her when I vacuum. That was difficult to do with this vacuum because I needed to hold the vacuum in one hand after releasing it from the standing position, then use my other hand to turn on the switch. A minor detail that probably won’t be an issue much longer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissel Clean View Max Lift-Off has been a great addition to my cleaning arsenal. I enjoy the black, sleek look & design of the vacuum; however, I think it lacks tools in comparison to others in the field. Overall, the pros & cons are about even for me so I am giving 3 stars. Pros: great suction, powerful, able to use on multiple surfaces (i.e. hardwood, tile, carpet, & area rugs), and a multi-brush spinning system that minimizes tangled messes from hair build up. Cons: very heavy, hard to carry up & down the stairs, and does not detach as easily as advertised. Even while detached, having to carry the canister around is almost harder than not detaching it at all. My favorite feature is the ability to easily switch between hardwood & carpet because I have multiple surfaces both upstairs & downstairs. This vacuum is great if you live with children, multiple people, and pets… definitely excels in picking up hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the CleanView® Max Lift-Off upright vacuum. This product came to me at the perfect time as we just threw out our old one. We have regular short carpet in our bedrooms and hardwood in the common spaces. The vacuum does a decent job lifting dog fur from the carpet, but I notice it does take a couple passes to pick up slightly larger items such as dog toy fluff. It also does not get very close to corners/edges. This is mitigated by using the wand. On the hardwood it seems to have a better range in sucking up crumbs/fur from edges and under it. I love that it offers an option to stop the rollers and that when it gets to the upright position it automatically stops the rollers. The wand release is very helpful on cutting out the middle man in having to put on attachments. This product came new, so there is a bad plastic smell from it currently, I am hoping that goes away in time. The swivel of the vacuum is helpful in navigating, but this vacuum does seem heavier than your average one. My pictures are after one vacuum pass through each of our rooms. It does a good job! I am so impressed (and grossed out) by what it's been able to lift out of our carpets that our previous vacuums have not. It's been a while since we've had a plug in vacuum and I didn't realize how much power I was sacrificing for the sake of convenience. The unit itself is a little heavy but not unmanageable. Being able to separate the base for stair vacuuming and getting into tighter spaces is very convenient and helps a lot with the weight issue. We have an even mix of hard surface floor and carpet and this vacuum does great on both. It's intuitively easy to use and gets the job done well. It's not huge or heavy so it moves around nicely, I like how the canister can be separated from the vacuum head so it can be used on stairs or high places, and it worked really well to pick up my cat's hair from several surfaces. The design is nice, the vacuum isn't too bulky and I found it to be very functional. The cleaning power was excellent. I used it to clean up everyday dirt, cat hair, and cat litter on carpet, an area rug, hardwood, and a baby mattress. I found that it easily picked up the cat hair and was surprised at how much dirt came up from the carpet each time I used it. It did well on the hardwood, area rug and baby mattress also. My favorite feature is the handle that can detach into a wand that is easily maneuvered into corners or other hard to reach spaces, or detached using just the hose which is also easy to use. I really liked that the vacuum detached from the base to be used in areas that didn't require the whole vacuum too. The only negative that I found is that the canister fills up pretty quickly due to its size, but it didn't effect my overall opinion of the vacuum. Overall, this is a great vacuum if you have pets.

The appeal of having something that's dual use between corded standard vacuum and portable for the stairs is what was most useful. However, my unit did not work out of the box. None of the troubleshooting helped. The roller for main component wouldn't spin. It's a pass for me.

I'd give it 4.5/5 with the only negatives being that it is a little backwards heavy and the suction is not quite as good as some other brands, however it's still very good and not a problem. So onto the positives, the vacuum is easy to turn, it has an amazing lean action for easy control and swerving around obstacles. It's not hard to push either so as a petite woman with an achey back I haven't found this difficult at all to use. The attachments are easy to switch between and the initial piecing together of the vacuum was also extremely easy, I did it myself in less than a minute. Emptying the vacuum is also easy and I had no issues taking it off and putting it back on. I have two cats and this vacuum has no issues with carpet and hard flooring as well as cat hair and litter. I'll be using this as my main vacuum for the foreseeable future along with my cordless. Our kids are under the age of six and we have a dog, So you can imagine the crumbs we are constantly dealing with. I like to look and the design has it's nice to see all the things that you are vacuuming up. You can easily access the collection area if you need to get something out. Some things I wanna point out. The suction options are nice to have. You could change it up between rugs and hard floors. We have a washable rug and it does a good job suctioning all the crumbs up, but doesn't pull off the rug itself. The one thing I would like to change would be to be able to put the accessory on the top part where the handle is. Instead of using the entire longer hosing. It's easy to pick up although it is a little bit on the heavier side. This was my first time using a Bissell vacuum and I feel like it was a good investment in our home.I received this as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

The Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off couldn't have come at a better time for our family! Setting it up was a breeze. It took just over a minute to fully put it together after taking it out of the box. It feels sturdy and well put together and has an attractive, modern look. It fits great in our narrow hallway closet for storage. We were shocked at how powerful this upright vacuum is. We've always had vacuum cleaners with bags and weren't sure what to expect. The amount of dust and dirt it sucked up from our living room rug AFTER we already vacuumed it an hour earlier with another upright model was impressive (see canister picture). Over the past two weeks we've used the vacuum on cushions, blinds, carpet, thick and thin area rugs, hardwood floor, laminate floor and tile floor. The vacuum easily glides over all floor surfaces and swivels great around tight curves. It's done a wonderful job cleaning up all kinds of messes, specifically crumbs dropped by our kids and all the dog fur! It's super simple to open and dump out the canister, too! A favorite feature is the wand release! It comes with two attachments that are great for cushions, drapes or tight spaces. The suction is so powerful! I was able to get a deep clean under our couch cushions and carry the canister and wand down my carpeted basement steps with ease. I wish the cord was a little longer, but overall this upright vacuum is perfect for our needs. With its impressive powerful suction and versatility, I feel confident our home is clean after using. It was super easy to assemble, has a pretty long cord, comes with nifty attachments and it’s easy to empty out. I was amazed at all the “invisible” dirt and dog hair it was able to collect. This will definitely be my go to vacuum.
