Excellent vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the CleanView Max Liftoff is an excellent vacuum. It was easy to put together out of the box and is really easy to use. The vacuum has great suction and cleans in areas my old vacuum had trouble with. The wand is helpful to reach smaller areas, like the carpet between the wall and baby gate on the stairs. Picks up dog fur and my daughter’s waist length hairs with ease. Also worked pretty well to vacuum out the back of my car. It isn’t too loud and is quite maneuverable despite the cord. Make sure to check that everything is connected properly after lifting the canister to ensure proper performance. Overall I’m extremely happy with this vacuum!
Great lightweight vacuum with easy to use wand
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I REALLY like this vacuum. Very easy to assemble out of the box. It's pretty lightweight and doesn't take up a ton of room in my closet where I store it--I vacuumed some carpeted bedrooms after I used my battery powered stick vaccuum, and it pulled up a HUGE amount of dirt and dog hair that wasn't picked up the first time around. Impressive. The wand release is super easy to use, and the canister is easy to dump. All around, a really powerful, affordable vacuum that's easy to maneuver and feels really lightweight. The only thing I don't love is how far out the wand hose sticks out behind the canister--It's a little bit awkward when not using the wand. The cord holder feels a bit flimsy too, so we'll see how long that lasts.
Strong Suction, Stronger Arms Required!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this upright vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First of all, I'm a working mom of a two-year-old and a pet cat. We live in a two-bedroom apartment in Midtown Miami, where there's a constant stream of construction, meaning dust is always blowing in through the balcony and windows. Being a clean freak, I vacuum daily to keep up. My first impression of this vacuum was that it's quite big and, therefore, probably powerful. However, compared to other stick vacuums, it felt bulky and not very light. The suction power is excellent — you can actually feel it lifting the carpet if it's not glued down! I've tested it across different surfaces, including hard floors, indoor rugs, and outdoor carpets covered in cat fur, hair, and dust, and it performs impressively. I have no doubts about its cleaning capabilities. The main downside is that it's corded, which means I have to unwind the wire, find a central outlet, and drag it around the apartment, trying not to get it caught on furniture. It's a bit of a hassle compared to wireless options. My favorite features are the clear dust tank (so satisfying to see everything it picks up), the sealed HEPA allergen system (great for my dust-heavy environment), and the lift-off detachable pod, which makes it easy to vacuum the ceiling fan and high shelves. Because of its weight and the effort it takes to maneuver, I personally would reserve this vacuum for a thorough weekly deep clean and continue using my Dyson for quick daily maintenance.
Perfect Vacuum For Pet Hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sleek and functional vacuum has changed my life! As a person with a dog, I am constantly battling dog hair and wondering if I'm actually getting my floors and area rugs clean. With this vacuum, I am certain that it gets every bit of pet hair, dirt and dust off of every surface it's used on. I love that I can see inside the dirt collector and easily remove and put all of the vacuumed contents into the garbage. The mess of my home was no match for the cleaning power and suction of this vacuum. I easily tackled sand, dirt, hair, pet hair, and all of the random messes my toddler makes during the day. Even difficult to clean entry way mats look brand new after one vacuum. I used this vacuum on wood floors and area rugs. Usually I end up switching appliances while I am cleaning the floors in my home but with the Cleanview Max, I simply flip a switch to go between rugs and hard floors. My favorite feature of the vacuum is that the roller is designed to not get hair wrapped around it and it actually works! I used to end vacuuming sessions with painstakingly removing hair from around the roller but I no longer have to budget for that extra time. I received this vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
Powerful and great swivel, but heavy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum was a breeze to assemble and use. Straight out of the box it showed awesome power at attacking dirt and dog hair on hard surfaces and carpet. The vacuum is sleek and easy to roll, and my favorite feature was how the body swivels unlike any I have seen before which made maneuvering around obstacles easy-peasy! My ten year-old handled it well and commented on how simple it made his chores. The attachments are useful and conveniently stored on the sides. I did run into a minor issue with area rugs that were not secured to the floor, as the rollers would stop turning until the vacuum was turned off and on again. It also is significantly heavier than the cordless stick vacuums I am accustomed to. I struggled to carry it up a flight of stairs, though it would be just fine for one-level usage. Overall, this vacuum proved mighty enough for my kid and animal-filled household and will be a great addition to our cleaning routine!
Strong and Mighty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is no joke! Half of my home is carpeted, I have 2 small kids, and a dog so I am constantly vacuuming. The first time I used this vacuum I could not believe the amount of dust and dirt it picked up!! Even my husband was shocked. The suction power of this vacuum is great and I think it works well for deep cleans or homes with a lot of pets. However, I don’t think it’s great for every day use. It’s VERY heavy, hard to push, and doesn’t maneuver around very easily. I also wish it was cordless. Overall it’s a great vacuum for a heavily carpeted or pet friendly home, but not great for everyday quick vacuuming.
Life saver for pet owners
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really happy with this! M It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and has great suction power. I especially love using it for pet clean up—fur on carpets and rugs doesn't stand a chance. The detachable canister is super convenient for stairs and tight spots, and I appreciate how easy it is to empty. I've used it on hardwood, carpet, and area rugs, and it handled everything really well. The design is sleek, and it's simple to put together right out of the box thanks to being gifted by the stellar review panel. Overall, it's a solid vacuum that makes cleaning up after pets way less stressful.
A good replacement for your heavy duty vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this product as part of a stellar review panel. TLDR - It's a solid replacement for your primary vacuum if you're in a smaller home with carpet + hardwood + pets. If you have carpeted stairs - this one is a MUST. The main drawbacks are weight (it's quite heavy without using the lift off feature), and the chamber size, which is mostly adequate for cleaning around 1,500 sq feet at a time (not necessarily ideal if you have a massive house with lots of pets). After using the CleanView® Max Lift-Off for 2 weeks, here are my honest thoughts: PROS: - Assembly - 5/5 - SUPER easy. You can basically fit all of the parts together right out of the box, and there's a helpful guide attached to the handle if you happen to need some tips. - Suction - 4/5 - Great. I felt like the hardwood suction and carpet suction were both solid. The primary reason for not giving it a 5/5 is because of the clunkiness of the vacuum head which takes away from suction effectiveness (noted more below) - Lift-Off Feature - 5/5 - LOVED this for cleaning my carpeted stairs. Was also helpful on our larger fabric sectional. I feel like if you have carpeted stairs you dread cleaning, this is the product for you. - Durability - Seems pretty durable, as is the case with all my Bissell products. I love the brand in general and find that it's a great investment for a mid-range priced product. - Cleaning the chamber - 5/5 - Again, super easy, as is the case with all Bissell products I've used CONS: - Heavy - The vacuum itself is heavy. It's definitely something you'd be using as your more heavy duty vaccum. Which brings me to my next point... - Chamber size - while easy to clean, the chamber itself needed a refresh after cleaning around 1,000 sq feet of carpet + hardwood with 2 furry dogs at home. If your house is on the bigger size, you might find yourself cleaning it out a few times in a single session. FWIW, I vacuum regularly (around 2-3 times per week). - Clunkiness - In addition to the weight, the front of the vacuum head seems somewhat clunky, it wasn't great for hard to reach spaces or under counter edges. It also felt a little loud / strange to maneuver over hardwood. Not as smooth as my older Bissell model I've been using for a while.
Nothing special
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thw Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off is a decent vacuum but not overly impressive in any way. It's design is pleasant and functional. It's heavier than I expected for its size and it's maneuverability was awkard. found it a bit lacking in cleaning power. I used it on hardwood, tile, and area rugs. I didn't find it's suction to be great on the wood or tile floors. The turbo brush attachment stops turning completely when pressed against any upholstery or furniture, even with very little pressure, making useless. The vacuum works, but its not great. I wouldn't recommend it.
Hi Myzme, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the CleanView® Max Lift-Off®. We’re glad to hear you found the design functional, but we’re sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations in terms of suction and maneuverability. It sounds like the turbo brush may be losing power under pressure. We’d love to help troubleshoot that and see if we can improve your experience. Please reach out to us at support.bissell.com, and our team will be happy to assist. We appreciate your honest feedback—it helps us make our products better for everyone.
Great for those with dust allergy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m overall very impressed with this vacuum, especially its strong sucking power. I vacuumed our area rug with our old vacuum 3 days prior. When we used this new CleanView Max Lift-Off, I was shocked to see it collected more dust/dirt than I would have anticipated-for vacuuming 3 days prior! Our son has a dust allergy so we will definitely be using this vacuum for all future cleaning to get the dust our other vacuum couldn’t suck up! Side note, when I opened the box, I was initially bummed to have to put the vacuum together. However, the instructions are clear and it was surprisingly super easy to build. I was able to start vacuuming in less than 10 minutes after opening the box. Highly recommend this vacuum for its strong sucking power alone!
