[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not have any pets, but I have always owned vacuums marketed for cleaning up pet messes because: (1) I have a very messy toddler (and husband - don't tell him I said that); and (2) I need a vacuum that can handle my long hair, which sheds constantly. I have been thoroughly impressed by all the Bissell products I have owned over the years, and the CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum is no exception! For the past few weeks, I have used it to clean all the hardwood, tile, carpet, plush rugs, and upholstery in our home. (These surfaces have included many crumbs, grass, clumps of dirt, and spilled Cheerios courtesy of the toddler.) As I expected based on my past experience with Bissell, the vacuum was simple to assemble, and the suction power is fantastic. I was surprised that it is quieter than all the other upright and stick vacuums I have owned. I have a few favorite features. First, the swivel steering makes it so easy to clean under kitchen countertops and furniture. Second, the lift-off detachable pod + wand + TurboBrush are perfect for quickly cleaning our carpeted stairs (and nabbing the occasional cobwebs that appear in the ceiling corners…). Finally, I appreciate how easy it is to detach and empty the tank and clean the filter. There are only two reasons I am giving this vacuum 4.5 stars instead of 5. Unfortunately, my long hair does get tangled up in the brush roll, and I have had to use scissors to remove it. (I do not imagine that this would be an issue for pet hair and many other humans' hair.) My only other complaint is that the onboard tool storage is not very secure. (I will forget that I have a tool attached until it falls off while I am cleaning with the detachable pod. I wish the tools clicked into place like all the other components.) Overall, however, I highly recommend the CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum - especially if you have pets or messy humans in your life! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a full house of adults, teens, toddlers, and dogs, so we vacuum a minimum of 2-3 times per week. This vacuum was able to handle the long hair from teens combing and styling their hair, the dogs starting to blow out their winter coats, and a toddler leaving trails of crumbs and dirt! On our hard surfaces (wood/tile) the suction was great. However, I did notice that since the spin feature isn't used on hard surfaces, when I turn the vacuum off some debris would fall out. My area rugs and carpeted rooms are low pile, and the vacuum cleaned these spaces well and pushed over the surfaces easily. I do like the switch between brush roll/ no roll is on top so I can quickly switch between hard surface and an area rug. The lift off lever is very convenient, but I'd forget the hose was attached. After using this vacuum for a couple weeks, I do wish it had bristles on the side to help with getting closer to baseboards, however I have had no issues with hair wrapping up in the brush so far and hope that this holds up to its promise! Upon opening the box, I observed about five different pieces that needed to be assembled prior to use. There are simple assembly instructions included, and it took less than two minutes to put together. The CleanView Max Liftoff is easy to maneuver as I moved from rug to hardwood throughout our house. The bottom portion has a little swivel that makes it easier to handle than some other household vacuums. The attachments are exactly what we need without too much extra. My only complaint is that some of the features are less intuitive than they could be. There are lots of buttons and dual-use attachments that one may miss at first glance.

This vacuum was easy to assemble out of the box and operating it was fully intuitive. I really enjoyed that it was one click to get the wand off and you could take the base with or without the wheels with you on your spot cleaning adventures. The vacuum was lighter than I expected, which made it a breeze as I moved from room to room and job to job. It tackled high like carpet and tile all the same. I truly was impressed with its pickup on the tiled kitchen floor. You know how when you use the hard floor option with the brush head vacuums almost always leave some crumbs and bits that you have to get with the wand? With the exception of right by the baseboard, this vacuum left the floor so clean and debris free. I was happy to walk barefoot behind it! I'm not aware that it had a strong self-propelled feature, so it didn't have that drag that you can get when deep in a vacuuming binge - that one that makes you question whether you need to lift more weights. I was able to vacuum my entire house - carpet, tile, hardwood, stairs, couches, fans, etc. and have little arm fatigue. Highly recommend this one specifically if you're worried about weight! I also was extremely impressed with how you could fully clean the canister and filters. The canister comes off to empty, but you can also remove the filters to fully rinse (they took maybe an hour to dry). The canister was also able to be fully rinsed out. There was a little bit I was worried about with the water reaching it because it seemed untouchable, but once I was actually rinsing it - it came right out! Left it all on my drying rack for a bit and reassembled once fully dried. There was no warp or shrinkage with the filter, either. Overall, I highly recommend this vacuum. Great suction, light weight, intuitive, ability to clean the canister - all of it positive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissel CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum is a great vacuum. The suction is really good; half the dust bin was full when I was done! I liked the way the tools were secured on board, they didn't get in the way or fall off as I moved around. It was pretty quiet, which is nice if you have kids and you try and clean when they nap. A few things that would have made it a 5-star review would be to have a light on the front. It helps in dark areas, especially on wood floors because it lights up the dirt. It worked great on my area rugs, wood floors and regular plush carpets but I had a really hard time with my shag-like carpeting. It was almost impossible to move the vacuum back and forth, even on the high pile carpet setting. The hand tools were good, except I found the attachment with the brush roll didn't really work; it didn't move at all when trying to vacuum my couches. It has some great features that really stood out, but also a few tweaks I would make. In terms of look and design, the vacuum is sleek and modern. It has a compact build that doesn't take up much storage space, and the detachable base is a clever touch. I really liked the feature where the base can disconnect — it made it easier to clean stairs and tight corners without hauling the whole vacuum around. The spinning attachment head was another favorite of mine; it did a good job loosening up dirt and sucking up pet hair, especially on carpeted surfaces. When it comes to cleaning power, the vacuum definitely had strong suction. It helped me tackle everyday messes like dust, crumbs, and pet hair with no problem. I used it on a variety of surfaces — hardwood, low-pile carpet, and area rugs — and it performed well across the board in terms of picking up debris. Unfortunately, I did run into a couple of issues. The vacuum was surprisingly difficult to maneuver, especially in tighter areas. I found myself having to wrestle with it a bit more than I'd like. Another downside was the base spin brush — it kept getting jammed, which slowed down my cleaning routine and was frustrating to fix. All in all, this vacuum has some solid cleaning power and smart features, but the handling issues and brush jams might be a dealbreaker for some. If the maneuverability was improved, it would be a much stronger contender.

My house has a variety of floor types — hardwood, carpet, and area rugs. The suction on every surface was great and it didn't take more than one or two passes to pickup all the debris. When used on the carpet I could tell it was getting dirt from all the nooks and crannies. This is definitely a vacuum you can trust to tackle all your messes, no matter the type. My favorite feature is the canister. It's bagless. It's easy to remove the dirt and easy to put back. It's big enough that I don't have to empty after each room I clean, but not too big and bulky that it gets in the way. I also like that you can lift the canister off of the base and continue to clean wherever you need. It makes this vacuum very versatile. Overall, this vacuum is a win! This vacuum is lightweight for a corded vacuum and has a lot of very convenient and easy to use features. It's great for combo flooring in a house, we have carpet upstairs and LVP on the main level, with tile in the bathrooms and several rugs. The handle has settings to switch between for plush carpet and bare floor which is really nice, and the suction for both is the right level. There are two different attachments you can use with a removeable wand handle for baseboards or high up places. My favorite part is how easy it is to empty. The cannister is extremely easy to take off to empty and then go right back. It also is large enough that I can vacuum all 4 bedrooms upstairs before I have to empty it. It has been able to vacuum up all the hair around the house with no clogging issues and sucks up all the crumbs everywhere from having a toddler. I would definitely recommend this vacuum!

Let's just say our house can get messy quick between the rainy muddy days, pollen of spring, and constant drops and spills. When I received the vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was almost immediately testing its power. My overall impression was great! I love how lightweight and versatile it is, especially when tackling stairs. The release to remove the base is super easy to do, and made lifting the vacuum up the stairs easier as I did the stairwells. I have very low pile washable rugs and plush carpet in the stairway and hallways, as well as hard wood throughout. It was gentle enough on the hardwood with two settings, one with the brush roll and one that doesn't have the brush roll. I absolutely love that I don't have to switch to a different cleaning system for the hardwoods. My favorite feature was the option to choose between low and high pile carpet and that it was on the handle. I do wish it was a little higher because I did forget about it because it was on the front, but once I figured out my groove, it helped me get up the Bernedoodle hair off my low pile rugs quite easily. Overall, I think this is a great vacuum with versatile cleaning power. I feel cleaner in my home after using it.
