Overall Good but Could Use Some UX Improvements
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the box, I thought the vacuum looked nice. The design is rather simple; I wouldn't say this is the most aesthetically pleasing vacuum on the market. I used the vacuum on hardwood surfaces and a large area rug, cleaning mostly dust and crumbs. The suction power was good, and the wheels (made of rubber) rolled smoothly. I liked that they are made of rubber because it was noticeably quiet when vacuuming on hard surfaces. When looking for a vacuum, I always look for something bagless and easy to clean. This vacuum checked both boxes. The dirt cup has a large view and is easy to empty. I liked that the foam filter at the top of the dirt cup was thick but still quick-drying. I also liked having the option of using the wand and lifting the dirt cup off and being more portable. There were a few things I didn't like about the vacuum though. First, the button for the depth (i.e. plush carpet to bare floor) is a sliding switch and left me guessing. I would have preferred a sliding button with a set notch each for plush carpet, medium carpet, and low carpet/bare floor. Second, I really, really, really didn't like the location of the power button. The depth button is on the vacuum handle, but the power button is down by the top of the dirt cup. It felt really unnatural to have the power button not built into the handle. On the far left of the power toggle button, you have the off switch and then the middle and far right dictate whether or not the roller brush spins. When transitioning between the hardwood and the area rug, I didn't like that the two buttons I needed to mess with (depth and brush) were not conveniently near each other on the handle. So it was always this awkward pause to mess with the settings when switching back and forth instead of seamlessly and quickly transitioning. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum!
Powerful Vacuum - Great for Toddler Messes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not have any pets, but I have always owned vacuums marketed for cleaning up pet messes because: (1) I have a very messy toddler (and husband - don't tell him I said that); and (2) I need a vacuum that can handle my long hair, which sheds constantly. I have been thoroughly impressed by all the Bissell products I have owned over the years, and the CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum is no exception! For the past few weeks, I have used it to clean all the hardwood, tile, carpet, plush rugs, and upholstery in our home. (These surfaces have included many crumbs, grass, clumps of dirt, and spilled Cheerios courtesy of the toddler.) As I expected based on my past experience with Bissell, the vacuum was simple to assemble, and the suction power is fantastic. I was surprised that it is quieter than all the other upright and stick vacuums I have owned. I have a few favorite features. First, the swivel steering makes it so easy to clean under kitchen countertops and furniture. Second, the lift-off detachable pod + wand + TurboBrush are perfect for quickly cleaning our carpeted stairs (and nabbing the occasional cobwebs that appear in the ceiling corners…). Finally, I appreciate how easy it is to detach and empty the tank and clean the filter. There are only two reasons I am giving this vacuum 4.5 stars instead of 5. Unfortunately, my long hair does get tangled up in the brush roll, and I have had to use scissors to remove it. (I do not imagine that this would be an issue for pet hair and many other humans' hair.) My only other complaint is that the onboard tool storage is not very secure. (I will forget that I have a tool attached until it falls off while I am cleaning with the detachable pod. I wish the tools clicked into place like all the other components.) Overall, however, I highly recommend the CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum - especially if you have pets or messy humans in your life! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this handy vacuum.
Makes Cleaning A Breeze
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing and setting up the Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off was a breeze—everything was clearly labeled and snapped into place without any fuss. I had it up and running in just a few minutes, which I really appreciated. One of my favorite features is how the attachments fit right onto the vacuum itself. No more running back to the closet for a tool—I always have what I need right there with me. With two big, thick-haired dogs in the house, we needed something powerful, and this vacuum absolutely delivers. It picks up pet hair like a champ, even from rugs and carpeted stairs. We also have kids with allergies and asthma, so the built-in HEPA filter was a huge selling point. It gives me peace of mind knowing it's capturing dust and allergens instead of pushing them back into the air. Despite its power, this vacuum is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver around furniture and tight spaces. The quick-release extension wand is perfect for tackling blinds, ceiling corners, and other hard-to-reach spots without dragging out a second tool. Overall, this vacuum has made cleaning so much easier and more effective. I was given this upright vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Highly recommend for pet owners and families with allergy concerns!
This is a POWERFUL vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a three-story townhouse that's mostly carpeted, and we share it with a very energetic black lab who somehow finds his way into every room. His favorite activity? Running full speed up and down the stairs. He's a mix of several breeds, which means he sheds—a lot. Black hair everywhere. So this vacuum really came at the perfect time. First impression: putting it together was super easy and intuitive. I barely needed the instructions. Compared to my old vacuum, this one feels light to medium in weight, which I appreciate. It's compact enough to store in a hallway closet or tuck into a corner of the room without being in the way. What surprised me most was how powerful it is. I love that you can choose to use the roller brush or not, depending on what you're cleaning. I didn't fully realize how well it was working until I looked at the container—and wow. It picked up more dog hair in less time than my previous vacuum ever did. Since getting it, I've used it throughout the entire house: area rugs, carpeted stairs, hardwood floors. The upholstery tools have been a lifesaver too, especially for cleaning the steps and getting all the extra dog hair and debris off the furniture. Overall, I'm really happy with this vacuum. With a husband, babies, and a shedding dog in the mix, it's definitely made keeping our home cleaner a lot easier. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum.
Strong Suction, Stronger Arms Required!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this upright vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First of all, I'm a working mom of a two-year-old and a pet cat. We live in a two-bedroom apartment in Midtown Miami, where there's a constant stream of construction, meaning dust is always blowing in through the balcony and windows. Being a clean freak, I vacuum daily to keep up. My first impression of this vacuum was that it's quite big and, therefore, probably powerful. However, compared to other stick vacuums, it felt bulky and not very light. The suction power is excellent — you can actually feel it lifting the carpet if it's not glued down! I've tested it across different surfaces, including hard floors, indoor rugs, and outdoor carpets covered in cat fur, hair, and dust, and it performs impressively. I have no doubts about its cleaning capabilities. The main downside is that it's corded, which means I have to unwind the wire, find a central outlet, and drag it around the apartment, trying not to get it caught on furniture. It's a bit of a hassle compared to wireless options. My favorite features are the clear dust tank (so satisfying to see everything it picks up), the sealed HEPA allergen system (great for my dust-heavy environment), and the lift-off detachable pod, which makes it easy to vacuum the ceiling fan and high shelves. Because of its weight and the effort it takes to maneuver, I personally would reserve this vacuum for a thorough weekly deep clean and continue using my Dyson for quick daily maintenance.
So far so good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I've used this vacuum several times now and haven't run into any issues. With three small kids constantly making all kinds of messes on different types of flooring, it's definitely been put to the test. I've used it on area rugs, hardwood, and tile. It's handled a variety of messes—crumbs, dirt, hair, playdough, and even sand. The only thing it really struggled with was the sand, especially the larger bits and tiny rocks. I had to go over those spots a few times and adjust the angle to get it all up. One thing that impressed me was how well it removed half-stuck stickers from both wood and tile floors. If they were completely pressed down, I doubt any vacuum could get them off—but for the partially stuck ones, it did great! It's also really easy to take apart and clean, which I usually do after every 2–3 uses. I typically dread dealing with the roller brush on vacuums because we have two long-haired girls in the house, and the shedding is nonstop. So far, though, I haven't had any trouble with this one—the hair has been easy to remove after each use. My only small complaint is that I wish the cord was just a few feet longer, but that's a minor inconvenience overall.
Simple, intuitive and gets the job done!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 6 kids, 6 cats and a golden retriever living in my home. We have mostly hard surfaces in the main areas of our home and carpet in the bedrooms. This neat little vacuum has been put through its paces for sure in the few weeks we have been using it. Here are some of my favorite features: 1. The clear view canister: it's actually kind of scary how quickly that filled up with dirt and animal hair but it's easy to see that the vacuum is doing its job and removing that all from the floors. It's also very easy to remove and empty and the clear view barrel leaves no guesswork as to when it needs emptying. 2. The swivel head is so maneuverable! The way the head attaches to the body of the vacuum makes it very easy to swivel around and use in tight spaces and from several angles. 3. There are clear instruction cards and reminder prompts on the vacuum itself for emptying, cleaning, and replacing filters or other parts. I love this because I won't have to remember where I put the user manuals when I suspect the filters need cleaning or if I need a new part. 4. This is also pretty compact for a full-size vacuum and easily stores upright in a corner or closet when not in use. The only cons I've thought of so far is that the vacuum is a little top heavy for a younger child to use with ease. My 6 year old can manage it but it's a little large for her to swivel it around as easily as an adult or older child. Also it is on the smaller side so the canister will need more frequent emptying especially if you have a large amount of carpet to vacuum or a lot of kids and animals like I do. I did receive this unit as part of the Stellar Product testing panel, but it has been a great unit and one I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
I was a skeptic but this vacuum is worth every penny
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this vacuum, I was honestly skeptical as I've purchased many vacuums in my life time and with two dogs that shed year round I had pretty much given up on having a rug in my living room but to my surprised when I received the Cleanview I was able to lift the pet hair which turned my blue rug almost white. I then used it on every surface in my home then took it to my car and vacuumed the entire car as we had just gotten back from the beach where we spent our Easter weekend. I was able to pick up messed in my office like I was to pick messes off of my granite floors this vacuum is very versatile and I already own several Bissell products like my steam shot so now have a new addition to my arsenal!
Gets the job done!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to test this vacuum through the Stellar Testing Panel and it came just at the right time as our other vacuum wasn't getting the job done anymore. With two little boys and a dog messes are a constant in our house. I was shocked at how much more was picked up with this vacuum compared to previous ones I have owned. The canister is big enough that I don't have to empty it constantly. My only complaint is that it is heavy. Would definitely be difficult for me to use on the stairs.
Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off is a great vacuum for a family with a lot of crumbs! I was given this upright vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I use it daily on large area rugs, stair runners, and hard wood floors. We typically use it for kid snacks (food crumbs and dirt) and the canister is simple to dump. It picks up all the food crumbs perfectly! It has a very obvious switch to change from the different floor surfaces. It is compact and fits very nicely in a small closet. It was also very simple to put together. My favorite feature is how easy it is to detach the wand to get into tight spaces (car seats and cleaning the car). Overall, I think this is a great product for everyday use with young families!
