It has settings for both hardwood and low carpet, and plush carpet to adjust suction. It’s easy to push and maneuver around furniture, my kids can even use it!

I really like that this vacuum is light weight and easy to use, and it works well on carpet and hard surfaces. As a family with girls who have long hair the tangle free roller is very helpful and I haven’t had any hair get caught up in it yet. I was very impressed by the amount of dirt that was picked up out of my carpet, as someone who vacuums fairly regularly I was shocked by how much dirt, dust and hair this vacuum picked up. I didn’t think I would really use the lift-off feature, but now that I have the vacuum I am finding all sorts of reasons to use it from cleaning spider webs off of the ceiling, vacuuming fan blades and dirt off of window tracks. The lift-off feature makes using the hand held attachments so much easier, I can just pick it up with one hand and carry it to where I want to be. The vacuum has a nice long cord, but I do wish it was a retractable cord rather than one that needs to be wound up after each use. Over all I think this vacuum is a win, I plan to have my kids do more vacuuming over the summer and I know that they will have no issues with this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really like the Bissell CleanView Max. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and has strong suction. I’ve used it on hardwood floors, high-pile carpet, and low-pile rugs—it transitions smoothly between all three, which was a pleasant surprise. The design made it easy to clean our couch and curtains, too. Assembly was a breeze, and emptying the canister is quick and mess-free. The almost-modular design makes it incredibly functional. One of my favorite features is the lift-away option—it made vacuuming the couch much easier without having to awkwardly drag the entire unit around. I also really appreciate how the hose separates for extension use. It's a much more convenient and user-friendly design compared to traditional vacuums, making it easier to tackle baseboards, corners, and furniture. That said, a few small cons: 1. I couldn’t find a cord holder clip—maybe I missed it, but if it’s not there, that’s a little inconvenient. 2. I wish it had a retractable cord instead of a manual wind-up. 3. Some attachments could be better. The pet hair tool, for example, doesn’t spin very well when used on upholstery like a couch. Despite those minor issues, this vacuum delivers great value and functionality. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an effective vacuum with thoughtful design features.

She likes the look/design and says the cleaning power is amazing. It made our rugs and carpet feel and look great. You could really tell a difference compared to our cordless vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised by the suction power of this small but mighty vacuum! It definitely provides a bit of an arm workout on the carpet, but it glides effortlessly on hard floors. I've used this vacuum a handful of times on my 4 carpeted bedrooms now and to say I was embarrassed by what was in the canister after the first use is an understatement! I have 8 year old builder grade carpets and it leaves lovely little carpet lines even in heavily trafficked areas! I appreciate how close the vacuum head gets to baseboards it's one of my biggest gripes with floor cleaning appliances. So easy to empty the canister with a click of a button. The removable wand comes off so easily and doesn't require anything other than a button push. No pulling tubes or removing pieces to get access. I used the turbo head attachment to remove sand from the back of my car after a beach trip. Haven't had carpet lines in my car since I bought it! PROS: If you enjoy rage vacuuming tiny toys in your kids room then this little guy will work well for you, I heard many little clinks through the canister while I was vacuuming our playroom. Exponentially lighter than vacuums I've owned in the past. CONS: Shorter power cord than I'd like but it's not a deal breaker. If you lean too much it will lock the vacuum head back in stationary position. Again not a deal breaker but can be annoying if you do it a handful of times.

However, with two dogs, a toddler, and carpeted bedrooms, I guess the cordless vacuum wasn't cutting it. I have been amazed (and disgusted?) with how much DIRT AND DUST this vacuum has sucked up. Even after I run the Dyson over the area rugs, I can go back with the Bissell and it will get a ton of dirt. It's not as easy to maneuver (like a stick vacuum is) but what it lacks there, it makes up for in power. I used to hate having to plug a vacuum in, but now I see that it's worth it!

The suction is incredibly strong, which makes it very effective on both carpet and hard floors. It has different settings for each, plus attachments that make it easy to clean things like furniture too. One feature I love is the Lift-Off pod—it pops off so you can easily get to hard-to-reach spots. The vacuum also swivels smoothly, making it easy to maneuver and truly a breeze to use. Overall, it’s become the vacuum we reach for the most. It’s simple to use, works really well, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something reliable and convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay beyond the title what do you think a Vacuum is supposed to do? Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this upright vacuum. I currently have one that is very similar of a different brand so this was a perfect opportunity to test the two side-by-side. I like CleanView's black which is definitely better than the old school gray looking vacuums. The front of the has the clear display of the dirt you are picking up, but satisfies the wife. One of the things I felt was really well designed was the assembly. I was able to visualize the pieces and how they fit and assembled it without tools and without directions. It was fool proof. Switching modes is pretty easy and removing the stick to vacuum corners was good. Okay the main event: I tested in variety of ways. To start, I don't have pets, but we do find lots of hair lying around (Might need to look into my personal hygiene.), I have a toddler, and most of my house is tile, low carpet, and rugs. First I vacuumed one area with just the CleanView and starting up already felt like it had better suction. Then, I vacuumed a new area with my current one and vacuumed the same area with the CleanView. I audibly heard it pick up more dirt, especially in my rugs. This made it the best part. The audible confirmation that it was working not just well, but better than the current one definitely has me choose the CleanView to pick up messes. Performance wins.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was waffling between a four star rating and a five star rating, but went ahead with the five because I didn’t want to be the reason fewer people purchase this one. I’ll tell you exactly why I feel the way I do, and will get my slight issues out of the way first: First, the unit tends to be somewhat heavy, including top-heavy. My five-year-old loves to help me with chores and typically helps push the vacuum around. This one lasted about 20 seconds before my patience gave way and I had to find something else for her to do. Too much work because it’s just too heavy, even with my constant help. Also, it tips unless it’s fully upright; I can’t completely explain how, just know it’s a minor factor. Secondly, when you detach the cylinder to empty it, hold it carefully. Somehow, my mom brain managed to get a bunch of the just-vacuumed contents all over my pants and the ground. An easy fix, but something I’m warning you was easy to do when my mind had already moved onto the next items on my to-do list… Now for the reasons for my positive rating: this thing cleans so well! We typically keep a stick vacuum upstairs around our living space for convenience because of young children and the pup. Out of curiosity, I vacuumed with this after that one (a good vacuum). It was appalling to see how much was missed. I’m stacking a picture so you can understand how much better it was. I also appreciate the ease with which you can turn the brush off and on. I move from area rug to hardwood to carpet quickly and just don’t want to deal with a hassle, nor do I want to damage our floors. Even more than that, with all of the long hair in our house, none of it gets stuck on the brush. For anyone who has ever had to clean one of those, this in and of itself is amazing. So while this is corded and bulky, it now has a corner in our living space because it’s just so darn good.

It was easy to assemble, and I love the sleek looking design. It was easy to maneuver because of the swivel steering. The suction power is strong and picks up even pet hair along with dirt and crumbs on both carpet and floor surfaces. I also use it on area rugs. It seems to just glide over the rugs. I love that it is quieter than any vacuum that I have had. The long cord allows me to move from room to room without unplugging and replugging it in. A favorite feature is that I can detach the canister for portable cleaning of stairs and furniture.
