[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum is a powerful machine!! The vacuum does have some bulk and weight to it, so initially, I was a little overwhelmed by the size for our small home; however, the cleaning power with our always shedding short haired dog made up for it!! The colors (black and minimal accent blue) are sleek, and it appears modern in design which doesn’t make it stand out if left out of the storage room. Despite the larger size of the vacuum, the functionality is very user friendly and easy to use. I appreciated the options for carpet heights as we have various carpet/rug thicknesses throughout our home, as well as the option to quickly flip the switch for brush off for hardwood/tile floors and brush on for carpet. We have a rug that we have used multiple vacuums on, and our dog’s hair was always left behind. I attributed it to the rug’s material holding on to the dog hair, but I tried the Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum on the rug and I couldn’t believe my eyes – the vacuum canister filled up about halfway and there was not a single hair found left over on the rug!! Additionally, after vacuuming a high traffic rug with one vacuum that we owned and I thought was very powerful, the Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum filled up about 1/3 of the canister! The canister is large too and allows you to continue vacuuming in multiple rooms or in big messes without having to empty it frequently. I also appreciate that the canister empties from the bottom, preventing a lot of dust and dander to release in the air. It also worked great on our hardwood floors and did not create any kick back from behind. It wheels around smoothly, and the swivel feature works well. I love that there is a lift off feature of the vacuum where you can lift it off the floor brush attachment to make it lighter and easier for portable cleaning with the hose attachment. The cord is very long which allows you to move around a large room without having to unplug the cord and move it to another outlet. One nuance we found is that the cord is connected very low on the vacuum which requires you to have to hold the cord while vacuuming, unless it is partly wrapped around the cord hook; it would be great if the cord was connected a little higher up on the vacuum to prevent wear and tear. The base of the brush is higher than other vacuums, which does make it a little difficult to fit under couches and other cabinets/shelves, but this also means the brush is larger and probably is what makes it so effective on carpet and rugs! The storage spots for the hose attachments directly ON the vacuum are also amazing – there is nothing I hate more than having to run back and grab different attachments while vacuuming! No one wants to wear a tool belt when you are cleaning 😊 Overall, I was incredibly impressed by the effectiveness of the Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum – it worked SO WELL at picking up our dog’s hair and quickly! You can feel the suction power when using it and it is satisfying! I would recommend this to anyone with heavy shedding pets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We first received the vacuum on Mother’s Day I had just thrown ours out as it just kept sucking up nothing! As soon as this one was delivered I used it outside on our outdoor rug! We loved the color of the vacuum and the fact it picked up EVERYTHING. The suction was so strong and even on hardwood we didn’t even need a high setting to get everything. When switching to a low rug it had great features to guide us on what settings and it was easy to navigate. We used the detachable handle and used it on the stairs of our home which has rugs as well and it picked everything up with ease no clogging! I loved that we could adjust the power of suction sometimes we need to suction the top of our bed cause our toddler likes to climb up and eat crackers. This makes it easier to get everything without taking the sheets clean off.

As a busy family of 4, which includes 3 long-haired females, plus a corgi who seems like she sheds her weight in fur daily, keeping our floors clean and hair-free is a major challenge. The amount of hair and leaves and things tracked into the house far eclipses the time we have to address it. So, when this vacuum arrived with the promise of easy, clean floors, I was excited. And I'm pleased to say that it has delivered! I'm not extraordinarily tech-savvy, so I was relieved when the vacuum was very simple to set up, and included easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. The vacuum was ready to go in just a few minutes, much to our corgi's dismay, and I was honestly surprised that she ran upstairs when I started it up, as it was much quieter than I expected. The Cleanview Max Lift-Off vacuum was super easy to use, with a handy lever that transitioned seamlessly from hard floor to carpet. There are two levels of brush rotation, which is also a nice feature, and the handle was surprisingly flexible, making it easy to vacuum between our couch and chair without having to move the chair. (Before you question my cleaning skills, I did move the chair to be thorough, but had I wanted to take a shortcut due to time, this vacuum would've been a willing partner in crime.) Another delightful feature is that the vacuum body detaches from its foot, so it can actually be carried around to use with the hose when cleaning higher places. It was surprisingly lightweight, though I could tell it might start to feel heavy after prolonged use, so I'll probably stick to using the vacuum as a rolling upright. The Cleanview Max Lift-Off Upright Vacuum is nicely compact, which means it stores easily in small closets. And it has a clear tank, so you have a visual of the dirt and hair being picked up, so you can see that it's really working. Another bonus- you know when it's time to change the tank! The tank change was also very easy, which I very much appreciate. In all, this vacuum is excellent and my carpet and hard floors look amazing! I definitely recommend this upright vacuum for busy households with lots of activity, pets, and people with long hair. (And I'm guessing it's good for quieter households too- I just know it was wonderful for us!)

I am always looking for a reliable and functional vacuum, as we have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and live on a farm. Between the animal hair and mud, I clean multiple times a week. Assembly was simple and self-explanatory, but the directions were easy to read. When cleaning carpet, the first thing I noticed was the strong suction power. Because of the suction power, the vacuum requires more effort to move it forward and backward, and while I'd prefer power over ease, my arms did start to tire towards the end of the clean. The attachments are my favorite feature; the detail brush that attaches to the handle is a life saver! The bristles are soft, but sturdy, and I use it to detail-clean baseboards, doors, windows sills, around our stone fireplace, and that pesky area where the carpet from the stairs meets the hardwood on the floor. I wish the retraction of the handheld wand was longer and more flexible; the vacuum falls over when I'm reaching too high or at a funky angle. The vacuum does well on our hardwood and laminate as well. I haven't had issues with it struggling to pick up debris, but I do use the wand under cabinets and in corners where the vacuum is just too bulky to reach. I love that there are places for each attachment, and I've only had occasional instances of them falling off. Emptying the vacuum is simple and doesn't require too much man power, which is always appreciated! In general, this is an excellent vacuum, a little on the heavier side, but the attachments make up for it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum maneuvers easily and has great suction, so it gets my carpets clean, which is ultimately what you look for in a vacuum. However, there are some features that are missing that I'd love to see. The main feature I'd like to see added is lights that shine on the area you're cleaning; this would be particularly helpful on hardwood. The vacuum is a little loud and a bit heavier/bulkier than others - so maybe not the best option for someone with sleeping babies or who is frequently using it with stairs. Other than that, it definitely gets the job done and isn't a bad option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with this vacuum! I have hardwood and tile flooring with area rugs and I was able to use it easily on all surfaces. It is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. It's also not overly loud when operating. I have a shedding dog and 2 young children, so hair and messes are inevitable. This vacuum was able to quickly pick up pet hair and food crumbs. It has a large capacity canister so I was able to finish vacuuming without having to stop and empty. I appreciate being able to switch the suction level and hard floor vs carpet. I do wish the controls were both on the handle for a smoother transition, but that is not a dealbreaker. I'm able to use less suction to easily vacuum rugs without them bunching up or getting sucked in. The turbo brush attachment was perfect to clean the pet hair off of my couch and the crevice tool was handy as well. I love that there is a spot to store each tool on the vacuum as I have lost tools in the past with nowhere to store them. Overall, I have no complaints and this vacuum definitely gets the job done easily!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first took the vacuum out to assemble, I was surprised at how small the actual bottom vacuum base was. It’s definitely smaller than my current upright vacuum, and as I have a smaller home and am tighter on storage, this is a win. I did have to assemble the vacuum, but it was super easy and took probably 5 minutes max. I also really liked how the detail/crevice tool was a 2 in 1 piece, instead of having to keep track of two separate pieces. Overall, I felt that it had a rather sleek body for a full upright vacuum. After assembling and starting to try out for the first time, I appreciated the slider where you can adjust for what type of carpet or hard flooring you’re cleaning - our house is 50/50 carpet and hard flooring. As for actual performance - I tried it out first on carpet. Carpet that had just been vacuumed the day before. I did one small area and was shocked at how much dirt and dust was pulled! I also did a quick run on the hard floor in our hallway, and bits of dust and dirt were also cleaned quite well. However, I think my favorite feature was how the body of the vacuum lifted off the base for detail cleaning (using the hose). It’s so much easier to use when cleaning than dragging around a whole vacuum. Overall, I was extremely impressed with this vacuum and excited to replace my old model with a much more functional piece!

The design was sleek and overall the suction was excellent - on tile, wood, and thin rugs it was a total beast. However, the vaccum struggled a bit on thicker carpet/rugs and took some strength - happy to get the workout in while cleaning. My favorite feature was the on/off switch which made it was super easy to use and switch between on, off, and brush roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum, which I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, is easy to assemble, and easy to use - I love the swivel feature for navigating around corners and into tight spaces, and the wand feature is excellent. Previous upright vacuums that I have used have had just a hose attachment, and the vacuum tended to tip over when I was trying to reach farther with the hose. But with the wand, which pulls out super easily, I can navigate around rooms easily and get into all the nooks and crannies without the base tipping over (also really easy to pick up the base with my other hand and move it along with me when needed). Overall, for how lightweight the whole thing is in comparison to my previous vacuum, I feel like it powers above its weight in cleaning up crumbs around my kitchen hardwood floors (toddler life) and general mess/hairs on carpeted surfaces. My only complaint is that I really like a retractable cord feature, rather than the manual cord wrap-up when I am putting my vacuum away.
