Customer reviews for Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off Upright Vacuum with HEPA Sealed Allergen System forPowerful vacuum and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My overall impression of the CleanView® Max Lift-Off was that it was easy to assemble right out of the box. It picked up so much dirt and dust and was perfect to use right before we used our carpet cleaner. The vacuum is pretty lightweight and easy to maneuver. It seems to have great suction. I tried it out on carpet in the living room and toy room, as well as on the hardwood in the foyer and the entry rugs that are thicker pile. The vacuum was easy to switch modes from low to high pile by sliding a button. We are a family of all girls and there is always hair all over the house. My favorite feature of this vacuum was that the hair doesn’t get stuck in the tangle-free brush roll! In the past it was always such a pain to remove hair that was twisted around the brush of other vacuums. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum!
Great for those with dust allergy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m overall very impressed with this vacuum, especially its strong sucking power. I vacuumed our area rug with our old vacuum 3 days prior. When we used this new CleanView Max Lift-Off, I was shocked to see it collected more dust/dirt than I would have anticipated-for vacuuming 3 days prior! Our son has a dust allergy so we will definitely be using this vacuum for all future cleaning to get the dust our other vacuum couldn’t suck up! Side note, when I opened the box, I was initially bummed to have to put the vacuum together. However, the instructions are clear and it was surprisingly super easy to build. I was able to start vacuuming in less than 10 minutes after opening the box. Highly recommend this vacuum for its strong sucking power alone!
Super strong vacuum with multiple uses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Want to start by saying we have central vac in our home and i feel like it just does an ok job. Ive never been "impressed" with it. Thinking this vacuum is designed for pet hair and messes and we also have kids, this would be for us! We have several toddlers, girls with long hair and a dog! We took the vacuum out of the box, easily put it together, and we're able to vacuum within 5 minutes! This thing has POWER! O...M...GEE! We got so much off our first floor alone, 2 carpeted rooms, 2 tile/laminate rooms and a marble foyer and hall! We FILLED that poor vacuum! It has no clue what was coming it's way! Lots of crumbs, dust bunnies, HAIR(long and short) holy cannoli! The only reason for 4 starts vs 5, I felt like I was "working"my arms as I vacuumed. Yes it was on the correct floor setting, even had the hubby check, but man, my poor arm had a workout! I will say, the swivel in the handle, making it easy to go around things/corners, was super nice! Id highly recommend this if your arms are in good shape, don't get it for granny!
Okay Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vacuum is good at cleaning but not great. The vacuum looks good but the different pieces feel like they will break easily. The cleaning power is not the best on carpet. The suction is not enough to tackle the needs of my kids. I had to go over my living room multiple times to get all the debris they track in on a daily basis. On hardwood floors the vacuum cleaned good. All of the bits of debris were easily sucked up. On carpet the vacuum didn’t maneuver easily. It felt like I had to choose between being close enough to the surface to get a good clean or being able to maneuver the vacuum.
Thanks for your detailed review – we’re glad to hear the vacuum performed well on your hardwood floors and that it’s helping with daily messes. We understand how important strong suction and easy maneuverability are, especially in a busy home with kids. While this model is designed for everyday cleaning, we’d love to help you get the best performance on carpet or recommend a BISSELL vacuum that’s built for deeper cleans. Super Strength
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok the suction of this vacuum far surpassed my previous vacuum! The design is nice and sleek with the parts being easy to take in and out as needed. However, it was a bit heavier than what I'm used to. Once again, the suction was amazing! After vacuuming my living room rug I was both disgusted and delighted at the same time by how much it picked up. My son was so excited that he went and vacuumed his room after and picked up lots of dust. I will say that this vacuum performs much better on carpet than on hard floors. I had to make a few more passes doing the hard floors. I also vacuumed my dirty mom car with it and it did fantastic. I especially love that it just has one main attatchment where you can move the brush part forward or back to use the plain angled piece. I think that was my favorite feature and it made it so much simpler cleaning my car not have to switch between attachments to either get tight spots or brush up crumbs. Overall I have been very happy with it!
Lightweight AND Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first took it out of the box, my initial thought was just how lightweight it is. Imagine my surprise at just how powerful this machine is. We have kids, we have pets, and we are always in and out of the house. We have combination flooring of carpet, area rugs, vinyl, and wood. I decided to test it on a medium sized room, vinyl floors with an area rug and I was amazed at how much it picked up, since I had just vacuumed 2 days ago! My favorite part besides how powerful it is, is the size and weight of it. It fits in our small storage closet with room to spare. I also like that I can easily see how full it’s getting. I am very impressed.
Great vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a fan of this vacuum. Not the lightest vac I’ve ever used, but also not that heavy for a powerful upright vacuum. It works really well on pet hair on rugs, and on everyday dirt/crumbs/fuzz on hardwood floors. The quick release wand works well in corners and under couch cushions as well!
Love this vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My overall impression of this vacuum is that I wish I’d had it sooner! The look and design are sleek, the performance is superb, and the noise is manageable. The cleaning power was so evident right away. It blew my other cordless vacuum right out of the water. I had recently vacuumed with my old device, but this new one picked up so much more and that was both mortifying/satisfying. In my house, this vacuum helped me to tackle toddler food and pet messed with ease. I primarily focused on carpeted areas of my home (area rug and carpeted stairs and bedrooms). I absolutely LOVED using the mini attachment on my stairs. Up until this point, I never felt like they were getting a deep cleaning so this left me giddy. Of course the absolute only downside here was the cord and maybe also the fact that sometimes it felt like it would tip over, but I’ll totally take those if it means more cleaning power and a lighter weight frame to lug around!!
Solid Pet Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I’m really pleased with this vacuum. It’s well designed, easy to use, and everything from assembly to daily use was incredibly straightforward. The suction power is outstanding. I have two large dogs who shed constantly, and this vacuum handled the mess with no problem. I was honestly shocked at how much hair it pulled out of my rugs. It picked up hair tumbleweeds around my baseboards with ease. I used it on hardwood, area rugs, and carpet, and it performed beautifully on all of them. One of my favorite features is the self-cleaning brush roll. With all the pet hair in my house, I usually have to stop and cut tangled fur off the brush, but not with this vacuum. So far, it’s stayed clear with no manual intervention. The onboard hose is easy to use and great for quick jobs, though it’s a bit short for reaching some areas. That said, the portable canister made getting into high or tight spaces an lot easier. The vacuum is also much quieter than others I’ve used, which I really appreciated. My only real downside is the small size of the dirt canister. It fills up quickly, especially in a house with heavy shedding, so I found myself emptying it more often than I’d like. The cord length is fine, not especially long, but adequate. Overall, this vacuum is powerful, user-friendly, and ideal for pet owners. If the canister were a bit bigger, it would be perfect.
Powerful Suction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been a cordless stick vacuum girl for a long time. I hate dealing with the cord on the upright vacuums. I thought my little cordless vacuum was doing a great job until… enter the CleanView® Max Lift-Off. The vacuum set up was super easy and intuitive. The buttons are clearly marked so it was easy to figure out without having to read the instructions. Its moderately heavy to pick up and move around which could pose a problem for some. I gave it a test run in our upstairs which is entirely carpeted. I was surprised at how powerful the suction was. It left nice clean lines in my carpet which was very satisfying. It is quieter than I expected for how big it is but a little tough to push around. I got a good workout vacuuming the whole upstairs. It was definitely harder to maneuver when the brush roll is running (which is all the time on carpet). But when you switch the brush roll off, it becomes safe for my hardwood floors. Once I finished vacuuming our upstairs areas, I took a look at the clear dirt tank and I couldn’t believe my eyes! It was completely FULL! Ya’ll, I vacuum pretty frequently so I was astounded that the Bissell was able to pull that much dirt from my carpets. I was simultaneously disgusted and delighted at the same time. I have 3 very active kids, 2 of them with long hair. There was hair wound up around the filter inside the dirt tank but surprisingly not much around the spin brush, which was good. I wasn't sure I would find value in the Lift-Away feature. However, when I separated the body from the wand and cleaner head, I was impressed. It became much lighter and I could reach under furniture and tackle the stairs with ease. I used the attachments to clean the crevices and my stairs have never looked so clean. My only complaint was that it whistled when I used the TurboBrush attachment- likely from the amount of suction going through the small brush head. I guess there won’t be any vacuuming after the kids go to bed. I tested it on our hardwood floors as well and appreciated that it picked up all the dirt on the first pass. It even did a great job with dirt against the wall and grabbed everything without me needing to break out the hand tools. Emptying the dustbin was super straight forward, allowing the dirt to exit with the press of a button. I also appreciate all the filters so I wasn’t having to breathe in tiny dirt particles while I cleaned. Overall, I am super happy with the Clearview Max. It does a fantastic job of sucking out that deep ground-in dirt from our carpets. I wish the cord was longer so I could vacuum more area without being tethered to the wall but I’ll deal with that knowing what a thorough cleaning I’ll get thanks to the fantastic suction!
