Customer reviews for Bissell CleanView Max Lift-Off Upright Vacuum with HEPA Sealed Allergen System forA Powerful and Versatile Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am incredibly impressed with the CleanView Max Lift-Off vacuum cleaner! It has a really sleek design and is compact enough to fit in a smaller closet, but has all the power and gadgets of a full sized vacuum. We have a different vacuum that we’ve loved for years, but the CleanView has won me over. It has much better suction and better swivel around the base - very handy for cleaning at odd angles. We dog sat for our friends when they went on vacation and the vacuum helped us easily clean pet hair and dander. It worked well on wood flooring, area rugs, and tile. I also used it to deep clean my mattresses and curtains. I really love the small brush attachment and used it to clear the layer of dust on my baseboards. Another fantastic feature is the removable handle, which my six year old loves to use with the attachments. My favorite feature is that the body of the vacuum can be lifted off the base with the touch of a button! This was really handy for sucking up dust off of higher, harder to reach places.
Great suction but build quality not the best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the CleanView Max Lift-Off for a couple weeks now, and it offers a great suction power, ideal for carpeted and hard floor. I have used it primarily on mid-long carpets and it cleans them deeply thanks to the brush and the suction power. On the weakness side, the lift-away technology is very convenient, but the vacuum lacks the ability to go under furnitures. Also, the build doesn't feel as sturdy as the competitors as most of the vacuum is made of plastic. This might impact the longevity of the vacuum, but makes it lighter to transport.
Amazing vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with this vacuum! I dare to think how much dirt, dog hairs and debris I have left behind with my old vacuum. It is so efficient and very easy to push. My old vacuum was very heavy. The swivel head makes getting into tight spaces much easier. On my first use I collected an unbelievable amount of dog hairs and dirt. My subsequent uses produced much less. That led me to the conclusion that this vacuum is a work horse! I feel very confident that this vacuum is performing just as it should. My only complaint and the reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is the cord placement. It sets to low and if not held up with your hand there is a tendency to run over it, which is frustrating. The canister empties very easily and the attachments are an added bonus, especially for the stairs. There is a bare floor option and it is very easy to go from rug to floor and vice versa. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone and especially if you have pets!
The suction power is legit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I knew my 10 year old vacuum wasn’t ideal but I didn’t realize just what I had been missing. I was used to having to be right up on dust bunnies with my old vacuum’s wand and this vacuum was grabbing things from a foot away. I have two dogs, a cat, a baby and a husband living with me so vacuuming is a frequent task. On first taking this for a pass of the house I picked up at least double what I would have with my old vacuum. I loved how large the dirt compartment is and the attachment with a spinning brush did an awesome job cleaning the fur off of my couch.
Surprisingly Powerful and Totally Worth It
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I vacuum at least every other day, so I thought my floors were already pretty clean. But the first time I used this vacuum—literally the day after I had vacuumed with my old one—I was shocked by how much dirt, sand, and who-knows-what else it pulled up. Living beachside in Florida, sand is basically a member of the family, but this vacuum showed me how much was still lurking in my floors. I was seriously impressed with its power. Design-wise, it looks fine—not super flashy, but it gets the job done. I was surprised by how heavy it is, especially compared to my old vacuum. At first, I thought the weight would keep me from using it regularly, but I’ve actually gone back to it every time instead of my old one. Even more surprising: my 7- and 9-year-olds are able to use it just fine, despite the weight. They can maneuver it easily enough, which is a win for me. As for cleaning power—yeah, this thing sucks (in the best way). We have three kids and a dog, and our floors take a beating. Between backyard adventures and baseball fields, there’s always dirt, sand, and grass getting tracked in. This vacuum handles it all without a problem. I’ve used it on tile, plush carpet, and low-pile area rugs, and it’s done a great job across the board. I really appreciate being able to adjust the spin and suction depending on the surface—it makes a big difference. My favorite feature, though, has to be the attachments. We’ve got big sliding glass doors, and those crevices collect everything—especially during lovebug season (Florida people, you know what I mean). The nozzles make it easy to get into those tight spots and suck up all the bugs and debris. Honestly, it's been a game-changer.
Great Power for Larger Areas
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this vacuum has great power and is great for larger areas. The vacuum was quite easy to assemble, no small pieces. It’s not too heavy which made it nice to carry up and down steps. It has great suction power and combined with the brush speed, it picked up so much. It is very easy to adjust from high pile carpet to low/hard wood so transitioning from room to room was simple. It maneuvers great in larger areas but was just a bit bulky for more narrow spaces. It still was able to get under beds and couches and coffee tables but was too wide to get in areas like between the bed and wall or between the couch and coffee table. I was impressed with the tangle free brush roll. There’s still some hair there, but I have quite long hair and usually spend a lot of time cutting it out of my other vacuum between cleanings. The combo brush/narrow space attachment tool is interesting. I like that the brush can be removed, otherwise it adds bulk to the tool meant for narrow spaces. And I like that it reduces the amount of tools to attach to the vacuum.
Works well and easy to us
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying a Bissell and I was pleasantly surprised. The vacuum isn’t too heavy and was easy to use. The attachments are easy to store on the vacuum itself and easy to attach. I did find the long handle for the attachments a little harder to have good control as my other vacuum can attach right at the handle with better control. The vacuum had many settings for my tile, wood floors, low rugs, and thicker carpet. The brush roll can be easily turned on or off depending on need and also has option for plush carpet or low carpet/bare floors. I only had issues with our very plush long carpet rug where the brush roll would stop within one stroke and it didn’t feel like it was sucking enough without it. I felt like the suction worked well especially with all the dog hair we have from our Labrador retriever. I used this vacuum multiple times in the first week or two and it always found more hair and dust. It was also easy to empty and the filters are easy to find and clean. Overall I am very happy with this vacuum but I should say that my other more expensive vacuum does feel like it has a little more suction power but this one wasn’t far behind!
Holds up to 4 kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a household with four kids, so we are always looking for new ways to make cleaning easier (which often involve the word “pet” - you’d be surprised how similar the messes can be). Overall, this vacuum has worked well for us and I would recommend it! We have used it on our carpet, laminate flooring, and even in our car so far and it has done well on all three surfaces, picking up everything from tiny crumbs to whole pieces of cereal. Pros: Good suction power Versatile attachments Easy to empty Can switch the roller on and off as needed Handles a lot of different messes Nice overall look and design Not too heavy or wide Liftaway feature for tight spaces (always a favorite of mine) Cons (really only minor nitpicks): I wish the switch to turn the roller on and off were closer to the handle to change back and forth more easily with one hand I can’t wait to see how this one holds up! Seems nice and sturdy and I’m overall happy with it.
A vacuum that actually has power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is an impressive vacuum. The look and design are nice but fairly ordinary; however, the function is superb and that’s the top priority for me. The power was great both on carpet and laminate. With five kids, crumbs after every meal are the norm. This vacuum quickly sucked up all the crumbs with one go. Other vacuums sometimes take a couple times back and forth to get the mess so I was impressed that this only took one sweep. This vacuum also does not have the high-pitch ring that some vacuums have. It’s decently olive but it’s a lower pitched hum that isn’t as obnoxious throughout the house. My favorite feature is that my six year old begs to use it! And the design is such that he can vacuum to his heart’s content. It’s easy to maneuver even for him but the power is still there to get the job done. I highly recommend this vacuum!
Just what I needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We currently have two stick vacuums that work on battery power alone. While they're lightweight and great for a quick spot clean up, we needed a vacuum with more power that wouldn't die mid-clean up. The CleanView has been both of those things, while still light enough to maneuver around furniture. I couldn't believe how much was in the canister after just vacuuming with my smaller one the day before! We have mostly hardwood flooring with a few rugs, and I love that it is adjustable to the floor surface. It has done a great job of sucking up all the wood chips my kids track in from the playground. My favorite feature is all the attachments it comes with to put on the hose, which helps in small spaces like the console of my car. I also greatly appreciate how easy it is to remove the canister and empty it with just one hand! This is an all-around quality vacuum.
