Great all around vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has become my favorite vacuum for quick jobs, dusting and whole-house cleaning. It’s on the smaller side but powerful, easy to maneuver and easy to switch between different surfaces. My favorite thing about Bissell vacuums is how easily and completely they come apart for cleaning. I will likely buy another filter so I can swap a clean one in while the other is drying (I have allergies so I was the filter & canister after every use). The liftoff feature is very handy for stairs or vacuuming the couch. My one piece of constructive feedback is that when I’m vacuuming my carpeted rooms, the brush sometimes stops or struggles to start again when I lock the vacuum upright and then continue vacuuming. This isn’t a deal breaker, but something to note. Overall this is a great Jack-of-all-trades for my house with a dog, a young kid, and many different floors (wood/tile/carpet). Very happy with it overall.
Clunky but effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum looks pretty nice and is easily used in different ways by removing the wand from the base or using its attachments. It is quite effective at picking up debris, including pet hair from fabric surfaces and rugs. Using the turbo max attachment was super helpful on my furniture. The little extension wand for narrow spaces was not long enough for me, but I did appreciate the brush head on it to help get pet hair off of things. The ability to change the settings for different floor surfaces, and for whether you use the roller brush in the base, was also very helpful. It was very easy to detach and empty the container into the trash. What makes me disappointed in the vacuum is how clunky it felt to me. It is definitely heavy and was a workout to use it for an extended time. It is pretty easy to turn, but the vacuum tends to go back into the vertical position and I then have to manually adjust it back into an angled position for maneuvering the vacuum. When using the wand detached, the hose was very stiff and didn't want to extend, which then meant that unless I held the vacuum in place it wanted to pull over and follow the wand. It actually did this during my first use and fell over onto my ankle, which was very painful due to the weight. Overall, I just found it a lot heavier and more difficult to maneuver than my old canister vacuum, which was disappointing. However, I do appreciate that it seems very effective, especially with picking up pet hair from fabric surfaces. So, I give a middling rating to this vacuum.
Thanks for your detailed review! We’re glad to hear the CleanView® Max Lift-Off® performed well on pet hair and fabric surfaces, and that you found the attachments and settings helpful. We understand the weight and hose stiffness made it harder to use comfortably—especially during extended cleaning. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll share it with our team. If you'd like help with tips or accessories to improve usability, feel free to reach out at support.bissell.com.
You need this vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum exceeded my expectations! It has a chic look with a little pop of blue and a very convenient swivel design so it moves with you as you move rather than being stationary. The cleaning power is outstanding! It cleaned dog hair, sequins, and a plethora of other messes on carpet and hardwood floors. The assembly was very easy and overall the vacuum is very user friendly. I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for an effective and convenient vacuum. The pictures speak for themselves!
Great vacuum for every day use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bissell Cleanview Max Lift Off upright vacuum as a part of the Stellar product testing panel. I'm not one to read directions and it took me exactly 5 minutes to put this bad boy together. So my first positive is that this vacuum is super easy to snap together and use right out of the box. One thing that really impressed me is the attachments connect it right to the vacuum, which is a huge plus to me as I always lose any attachments with vacuum cleaner. There are two settings on this vacuum want to use on carpet and one when vacuuming hard or delicate surfaces. This was another positive for me as I was able to easily switch back-and-forth between my carpet at living room and my hardwood hallway. The section power on this vacuum for both of the hardwood floor and the carpet were wonderful. I couldn't believe how much was in the tank after I thought that my carpet was pretty clean. The quick release button for the wand was super easy to reach corners and place right back onto the vacuum. It has a really large dirt tank which I appreciate because I don't have to keep emptying it over and over I really like the tangle free brush roll because I don't have to cut the hair out out of the vacuum. Besides the suction power, my favorite part of this vacuum was really that the attachment connect right to the vacuum as I always lose them and I always wondered why more vacuums didn't do this. Overall, this is a really great vacuum and compares it very well to my previously owned shark.
A new addition to our busy (and messy) life as a family of 9
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A huge thank you to The Stellar Product Testing Panel for gifting us this vacuum in exchange for our completely honest opinion. Thank you, Stellar! This new vacuum could not have come at a better time. Our old vacuum was on its last leg and I was in the market for a new one. We have 7 kids, ages 15 down to 1 so it's not uncommon for us to vacuum 2-3 times in a day. In my search for a replacement, I was excited to see that the Bissell CleanView® Max Lift-Off checked off ALL of my boxes. Here's a few of my most loved features.. *For a full sized vacuum, this one is on the lighter side. It's sturdy and light enough my kids can use it. *I love the HEPA filter. We try to keep the house as tidy as possible (it's definitely lived in, but clean). I feel good knowing it's filtering airborne allergens so my family can't breathe easier. *The dirt collection canister empties easily with one hand so no extra messes to clean up. *The cord is longer than many of our past vacuums which makes cleaning from room to room much simpler. *With 4 girls in the house, we are always shedding our long hair. This vacuum has a no-tangle roller brush so we don't have to worry about the brush getting locked up with hair. *The filters are washable, which makes this vacuum more cost efficient for our large family. *We use this vacuum literally in every room in our home. Kitchen, bedrooms, dining room and even the bathroom! It works great with a toggle from carpet to hard floor! This is definitely one of the best vacuums we've owned over the years.
CleanView
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box, I absolutely loved the design of the vacuum! It’s a nice, slightly compact, size. The deep blue with black and dark gray of the “see through” canister go so well together. I love how easily the top half detaches from the main base for higher cleaning, and how everything is clearly labeled for use. No questioning what went where or how to use. The top half is also pretty light! I can easily manage it holding with one hand. Used for cleansing carpet, laminate and the couches; it did a great job on all! Mostly pet hair and small dirt, but our dog also loves to pull the trash can out and apart if left alone and it did a great job of cleaning up the mess (including all of the tiny coffee grounds). The size of the vacuum has been my favorite feature so far. It fits so nicely in the closet without taking too much space and with it being somewhat compact the weight is so easy to manage as well with carrying up and down the stairs and taken apart!
Powerful and lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To begin, I have a dog that sheds NON-STOP, and a cat. I was excited to try this vacuum to see how it held up to our daily mess. First, putting together the vacuum was a breeze. So simple! The pieces themselves are lightweight, and it almost gives a feeling like it’s fragile and will not be powerful. However, it is powerful! It is a nice looking machine and designed well. I vacuumed a few surfaces on my first go around to test it out. Carpet: it did its job! Maybe 2-3 times I had to go back over a little piece of dirt before it got it, but otherwise it did great. Left fantastic lines that I wasn’t expecting because it didn’t seem like it would be THAT powerful. Tile in bathroom: I switched the roller off and flipped the switch to bare floor and it sucked up every bit of hair and dust beautifully. Bath rugs: I cannot currently vacuum these with the vacuum I have, because it will suck the rugs up. However, with this bissell I can! It took a bit of effort to push the machine over it back and forth but it works, and I love that!! I also used the crevice/duster attachment to see how it would do. Let me just say beforehand that I am SO glad the vacuum itself has two spots for the attachments. Some vacuums don’t have anywhere to keep the attachments and that is awful - I either misplace or just never use them. I used the duster brush on our air return and it worked MUCH better than I anticipated. It didn’t seem like there was crazy good suction feeling it with my hand, but it got all of the dust and all of the pet hair off with the brush! I also used this tool without the brush to get kitty litter off of the rubber mat I keep in front of the litter box, and it worked just fine. Overall, this vacuum did wonderful! It is lightweight (which gives the impression it won’t be powerful), powerful, convenient, and flexible. The swivel head helps navigate around spaces, the brush roll can be turned on or off and does a great job on carpets (brush roll on) and hard floors (brush roll off). The dirt cup was extremely easy to empty. I did check the brush roll when I was done, out of curiosity, and it looks like there was maybe 1-2 hairs wrapped on it, but it doesn’t look like those are going to create a rat’s nest over the roll. After using it on a variety of surfaces and messes, I don’t think there is a mess this Bissell won’t handle, and I love it. I think my favorite thing about this vacuum is the attachments and having a place to store the attachments. This is a huge plus, so thank you Bissell!
Incredible Suction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this vacuum I thought it looked really similar to another higher end product I've tried. It looks really nice. I immediately wanted to tackle my bedroom carpet and was thoroughly disgusted with myself when I saw what this vacuum sucked up within 5 minutes! I have been using a cordless vac for a while now and it's never even gotten close to the amount of dirt and cat hair that the CleanView Max Lift-Off got out of my carpet. I then decided to try it on my “washable” area rug in my living room. I am very pleased as I cannot use any other vacuum on that rug. Usually any other vacuum will stall out because it sucks the rug right up into the vacuum. Not this one! On the plush carpet setting with the roller turned on it perfectly vacuums my thin rug with no issues and pulls out a crazy amount of dirt. One thing that would improve this vacuum is that I would like there to be headlights. I will also add that this is supposed to be a tangle free brush roll. Hair did wrap around the brush roll but it was very easy to pull off. I have to take scissors to my other vacuum. I received this product from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.
Great Corded Vacuum with Great Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not used a vacuum with in over 5 years. However, cordless vacuums often lack the power needed for debris such as dog hair. I recently adopted a yellow lab and now have A LOT of dog hair to deal with. My house is a combination of hard wood floors, area rugs, and wall to wall carpeted areas. The vacuum came in several pieces and the instructions were easy to use. The only thing that they didn't show was that you can store both attachments on the vacuum when not using (the instructions only showed one storage area, later I discovered the second area). The vacuum does have a cord and standard cord storage spot. I do wish it had in internal storage area where you press a lever, and it winds it up. The vacuum is pretty light for how much power it has, and it is very easy to transition from hard woods to low-pile rugs to high-pile rugs. I have a rug in my garage that accumulates a lot of dirt, pine needles, dog hair since it is the first stop before you enter my house. The cordless vacuums I have do not get the rug all the way clean. This vacuum easily removed everything! The 2 attachments are easy to access from their storage areas and equally easy to use. Emptying the canister is similar to other vacuums I've used, you just use a button to remove the section, hold it over a garbage can, and release the dirt straight in. I haven't needed to clean the filters yet, but the instructions indicate that you can wash and re-use the filters which I like better than having to replace them. I gave the vacuum 4 out of 5 stars because of the way the cord is designed (you have to keep moving it out of the way when you are vacuuming and it seemed somewhat shorter than I would have liked). Also, a lot of other vacuums I have used recently have some sort of light near the front so that you can really see the dirt you are going to pick up, this one did not. The front bottom part of the vacuum is also pretty high, so it is hard to reach under furniture, appliances, etc. All in all, I would say this a sturdy vacuum with great power to dirt and pet hair, easy to put together and use, but more of the standard bulky design without any frilly upgrades.
Pretty good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall we really liked this vacuum. We have two toddlers as well as two large dogs in our household. We have a mix of carpet, hardwoods and tiles and we felt like this vacuum could tackle messes on all floor types. I do wish it had a retractable cable but that’s a personal preference. The power on the upholstery cleaner attachment could be a little bit stronger but does the job for the most part. It’s hard to find anything strong enough to clean up after two dogs!! I did not see a difference in strength between the high carpet and low carpet settings. The manual suggests to not use the brush roll when vacuuming hardwoods and tiles but I felt that it worked better if the brush roll was turned on. By doing this, it does mean that the vacuum is fairly loud when using on anything but carpet. Overall the quality of the product is very good and is a useful vacuum for a home with numerous floor types, pets, and kids.
