Used on my last menstrual cycle, it did manage my bloating and my some of pain. Not much of pain relief of that spectrum, but did relieve bloat. Every body is different, so it may just work as a pain relief for you.

I normally pop a liquid gel of a different brand when my symptoms rage and hardly feel it's effects. With Midol there was a noticeable decrease in my cramps and bloating (which are usually my main symptoms during my period). I still felt tired so the caffeine in these did not help me as much, however I'm one of those weird people who isn't easily influenced by caffeine products. I don't often get headaches or other muscle aches (minus my back from time to time) so I can' speak on that, but I did notice a little pain relief with my back. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a change in your period side effect management routine.

I think there are benefits to midol complete vs just taking pain relief, mostly it helped a lot with bloating. The packaging on these really set it apart. They are easy to pop into a purse or wallet and take on the go. Its brilliant because if a gal pal ask for something you can easily just hand a package over and bam! I also like that they can fit into a fanny pack without any noise.

BUT these would be such a convenient way for me to get my pain relief when I go back to work especially because I wouldnt want to be contaminating other pills in a bottle. I think the gel caps relieve pain quicker but that could just be in my head. These definitely relieved my cramps and lower back pain.
