They also say not to drink anything for fifteen minutes after which I felt was hard to do because it left my mouth feeling really dry and with a bad after taste. I do think it helped with my cold so it still gets four stars in my book.

I enjoyed the taste and texture, however there was a slight metalic aftertaste. Overall I would definitly recomend this product to a friend, and will be a longtime buyer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried the Zicam Cold Remedy Rapid melts. I live in Florida and was traveling to NC for the Holidays. Leaving 85 degree weather to go a lot colder and knew I would probably catch a cold so I started the trip with Zicam Rapid melts. As I suspected I did get a cold and by taking the rapid melts as suggested by the dosage my cold was minimized. I like the orange flavor and how easy they melt in your mouth

I took one rapidmelt, which tasted absolutely terrible. By the end of the day, I had completely lost my sense of smell...now everything smells the same. like fresh clean air. Cut onions: no scent. Chocolate: no scent Dirty diaper: no scent. So i guess there's one positive. as smell and taste go hand in hand, I cannot taste any of the food I eat. This is disturbing. I do not recommend Zicam at all.

I love the concept of dissolving tablets, however I am not very fond of the aftertaste. Usually leaves my tongue dry, but the flavor of the tablet itself is good. By taking the RapidMelt at the onset of any cold symptom I felt confident that if I was going to be sick it wouldn't last a long time.

I took it while i was sick recently; as soon as I noticed the symptoms I did notice that I was over the cold slightly quicker than I usually am and that my symptoms didn't get as bad as usual. However I hate the rapid melt & the taste of it. It has a horrible aftertaste that lingers for hours. I would be alot more likely to use this product if it was in pill form or it at least wasn't in the rapid melt form. It seems to help but I dreaded taking it everyday simply b/c of the taste.

After my dental exam two weeks ago, I was told my gums were very healthy looking, and darned near perfect. Well, after one rapid melt taken, my gums are red and irritated and bleeding. I stopped taking the rapid melts after just one as gums looked red. Would not have been caused by food either, as all I ate was home made chicken noodle soup and Irish Oatmeal. My cold was not helped either, but had the gum irritation not occur, would have tried more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just gave birth to my son & while we were staying the hospital, my husband had started to feel a cold coming on. Thankfully we had this awesome product to try & after a few days, he was back to feeling great again

I've used this at least 5-10 times for colds. Sometimes it works better than others. I think that might have to do with various "bugs" I've caught. Just like they can't hit it all the time with the flu vaccines. I can't say for sure HOW much shorter my colds are because of this product, but I'd guess at least by a day and a little less severe. The only bugger about it is remembering to take it and be diligent. Even if the product tastes ok, it's going to leave somewhat of an aftertaste for awhile.
