I literally use this
I literally use this to clean everything! Showers, stains in clothes, fridge, counters, couple drops in mop water and obviously dishes. It’s good for everything and works amazing. I have 3 kids and they are always staining their clothes, put a little over the stain and wash. 99% of the time it comes out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has taken off stubborn baked on grime from many pans. Works better than anything I've ever tried before. Smells wonderful and I have used it as a laundry booster for greasy and very dirty clothes.
Nauseating scent of new Dawn in turquoise color
Big mistake! The scent of the new Dawn dishwashing liquid In the turquoise color is so nauseating that I can’t use it. I had been using Dawn exclusively for many years until today when I bought the new bottle. They have lost me as a customer. I will never use Dawn again unless they bring back the old scent.

There isn’t much to write about this soap, however this is what I’ve used for as long as I can remember. My mom and grandma both used it ever since I was a kid. It works great for washing dishes, gets the job done! Plus something I’ve noticed, compared to other soaps you don’t have to use nearly as much. It lasts very well with just a small amount. Will always buy dawn!
Horrible smell
The new scent is overpowering and the smell does not wash off easily. The reason I originally switched to Dawn was that the scent was minimal. This scent is awful and gives everyone in our house horrible headaches as we are very sensitive to smells. Most products we purchase are unscented. I have washed my hands multiple times today and the scent is still as strong as when I used the product. Please bring back the original scent as this one will be tossed out after shopping this week.

Fresh Rain scent is nauseating!
Whoever came up with the "Fresh Rain" scent should be fired! It is disgusting, smells nothing like rain, it smells like like some hideous perfume!! I tried it just once, it made me physically ill- headache and nausea. Why would someone want to wash their dishes with perfume? I have used Dawn for many years- I will be switching to another brand.

Not animal safe or friendly
I have used dawn for years now that it has a new clean scent its horrible, everything i wash smells and absorbs the smell getting into the food and beverages we drink its literally ruined anything porous I own including my pets ceramic food bowls. When i dilute it to see if it helps it does not. I'm looking for a new dish soap. I can't believe this new soap would be safe for animal use in any way either. I hope common sense is used in this case.

In regard to the scent affecting your food, drinks, and pet bowls, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. Additionally, we want to assure you that safety for you and your pets is our highest priority, and we put our products through extensive testing ensure they are safe to use as directed. Greasy
I loved dawn dish soap, last couple of years I've noticed it doesn't clean the way it use too. I've tried all the different dawns, my dishes come out greasy. I've even boiled water, used more soap, and I get greasy. Don't know what has changed, now I'm looking for something else.

If you live in a hard-water area, you may need to use more dishwashing liquid. Another cause of dishwashing liquid not cleaning effectively is the water temperature being too low. New Clean Scent is Awful!
I've used dawn my whole life and never thought twice about it. It smelled like soap. I just bought a new refill size bottle and it has a horrible perfume smell. I seriously hope that it doesn't leave my dishes smelling like the soap because it's nauseating.

My dishwashing machine uses a different soap, and I love having it, but I occasionally find myself needing to hand wash something. Dawn is my choice every time and I doubt it will change. It works perfectly every time to get my dishes clean, and it only takes a small amount of the soap.
