I didn't realize I purchased the new "clean scent" and it took me a few times of washing dishes to figure out what the awful smell was coming from. It reminds me of the fake smelling scented trash bags which for me leads to an instant headache. I have always used Dawn, but will be pruchasing a new brand unless they go back to the original scent.

Good grief, this new scent is terrible! The smell lingers and can be detected all the way into the next room. Other reviewers describe it as overpoweringly floral, but I'd describe it as "dollar store sunscreen". I just refilled my dish soap reservoir a week ago but tonight I couldn't stand the smell any longer and dumped the entire thing. I absolutely cannot purchase this product again until the fragrance is what it used to be. Why reinvent the wheel, Dawn??

This is one product that does what it is suppose to. When shopping I don't care what is on sale I go right for the "Dawn". I am addicted to it. It is like a cigarette addiction I get nervous when I am about to run out. I am a one dishwahing cleaner kind of gal. No other will do.

I bought a new bottle of dawn orginal that had the new scent. It's awful!!! I put it outside for my husband to use. Thank goodness i was able to find a bottle of the original scent. If they keep this scent, I will not be purchasing dawn anymore and I'm not going to use the fragrance free version. Why would change a good thing. Just keep the original and add a line called new perfume scent. Ugh!!

The refreshing rain scent is truly awful and I’m out of the fresh scent . Every store only has the large bottle in refreshing rain currently and I love dawn but I can not do this scent. At the very least give us an option. My go to is fresh scent in the giant bottle.

The best part about Dawn Platinum is that, since you only need a little, it lasts for a long time (our bottle has outlived over a dozen sponges!).

How could you think this scent was OK? We are over 65 and have used Dawn forever. Not anymore. We're changing brands. By the way, your admission that the recent change in the scent name is very revealing; not a real change - just a name change. It's all about the marketing. Fresh rain smells nothing like this!
