Loyal dawn user here, but I have to join the chorus reporting that the new scent is not good. Please bring back the old refreshing rain scent, or something else that doesn’t smell like this. I cannot believe this scent tested well. I will be looking for a new dish soap and earning friends and family until the scent changes, unfortunately.

I have alway used Dawn dish soap. I’ve been buying the platinum refreshing rain scent for a long time and loved the way it USED to smell. Now you have completely changed the scent of the refreshing rain. It smells so awful that I had to throw it away. Don’t give a response of oh we are sorry you don’t like the increases perfume smell. It’s not a problem with increased perfume smell. It’s that you completely changed the scent. Who decided this was a great idea???? Please, please change the scent back. Until you do, I won’t be buying your product. I will change to another brand. I’m so unhappy.

I bought a new bottle of dawn orginal that had the new scent. It's awful!!! I put it outside for my husband to use. Thank goodness i was able to find a bottle of the original scent. If they keep this scent, I will not be purchasing dawn anymore and I'm not going to use the fragrance free version. Why would change a good thing. Just keep the original and add a line called new perfume scent. Ugh!!

I’ve been using Dawn for years to clean everything from dishes to litter boxes to bathtubs. I recently bought a new large bottle as I get the refill size and the new scent is terrible! I don’t know what changed from the last time I purchased maybe a few months ago, but it does not smell like regular Dawn and the new scent is off putting and unfortunately will be switching brands.

Waste of money. I thought this detergent would be stronger than other versions but it’s the same thing or worse. Not even leaving plates on the sink overnight would it work hard. You will have to do a lot of scrubbing to get grease out. Also, the cap makes you waste a lot of product.

As others commented, the new scent is not pleasant. It reminds me of a laundry scent I used while I was pregnant with morning sickness. Unfortunately, the new scent makes my stomach queasy now and I will have to find some other dish detergent with a non offensive scent.

I can clean dishes, grease on our hands, clean baby animals we have, clean toys, and much more! It doesn't fade the items we clean and it is wonderful!

We loved Dawn soap. It’s our favorite brand of dish soap. We compromise on other household products to make it cost effective , but when it comes to dish soap we never compromise and always buy Dawn. It’s been our favorite dish soap since forever but last week we bought the new Dawn platinum Fresh Rain scente and we absolutely dislike it. The smell is horrendous. It smells like something is rotting in the sink or old rotting egg sitting on a plate. It smells very disgusting. Which P&G person was incharge of this? What the heck you were thinking? Please make changes, bring back the original scent. The mild refreshing one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for all kinds of cleaning. It cuts through greasy pots and pans and makes glass casseroles squeaky clean. It also is great for hand washing stained clothes. It is a good bargain because a little goes a long way.

I have used Dawn for decades. I started using the Platinum when it first came out. I just grab a bottle at the store and go. A couple months ago, I got a new bottle. First time doing the dishes the smell was terrible! I thought I had grabbed the wrong bottle. I looked and it was the Platinum, but I noticed the scent on the bottle was different. Refreshing Rain is similar to Fresh Scent so I didn't notice it. I went to several stores looking for the plan Fresh Scent and it is no where to be found. I see on Dawn's website it is not even listed anymore as an option. I'm extremely disappointed in this changed. The smell is way to storage and overbearing. I will have to go to another brand of dish soap.
