I’ve noticed that Dawn no longer works as it used to. We hand wash dishes in our household, and have noticed they are greasy when they are supposed to be clean. We are on a septic system, and so are very careful with cooking grease..pans are wiped out with paper towels before going into the sink, and they still come out with a film of grease. Very disappointed!

Unfortunately, the company has opted for a fragrance that can only be described as reminiscent of an old lady's perfume. This overpowering and outdated aroma lingers not only on your dishes but also throughout your kitchen, making the post-meal cleanup process less than pleasant. What was once a task met with neutral scents or even refreshing aromas now feels like a journey back in time to a perfume counter of the past, where such heavy, floral scents might have been more at home. This choice of fragrance significantly detracts from the user experience, overshadowing the soap's commendable cleaning capabilities. It's disheartening to see a brand renowned for its reliability take such a misstep in product development, prioritizing a scent that may not appeal to a wide range of consumers. Hopefully, Dawn will take this feedback to heart and consider reintroducing the classic, less intrusive scents that many have come to know and love, or at least offer a variety that caters to different preferences.

I hate the new smell! I bought a giant bottle at a big box store thinking it was the same...it looked the same. As soon as I started using it I noticed it had a different smell. I can't stand the smell! What was wrong with the other scent?!? Why change a good thing?!?

I've been using this for maybe a decade and buy the large bottles only a couple times a year. I recently opened a new bottle, purchased 4/24/2024. This product is now unusable for me because the fragrance change, as far as I can tell, is identical to the dog shampoo I've bought. I honestly cannot stand over a sink that smells like I'm giving the dogs a bath and want to put my dishes in there. Ew!!! I'm going to buy something else. Even if Dawn works the best the smell is absolutely repellant to me now.

I cannot believe Dawn changed its scent. This new scent is awful, horrible and overpowering. I truly hate the new scent. I have used Dawn for so many years and it was a staple, iconic product. It boggles my mind that the "original" Dawn scent would be changed. Please bring back the old scent. I honestly will not buy Dawn again until the old scent is returned and will have to find a new product.

I baked a Saskatoon pie today and it ran over onto my pie over saver. It glued itself to my pan and I had no idea how it would come off. I poured Dawn Platinum Dishwashing liquid all over this burnt on mess and left it for five minutes. To I my amazement it came off with little effort by scraping with my pan scraper. My pan is like new again. Wish I had taken a photo but didn’t. Love this product and will always have Dawn in my kitchen.

DAWN's Platinum dishwashing liquid is the best I've ever used. Many products lay claim to being powerful but this one really is! Additionally, it works great on getting grease and dirt out from under your fingernails. They should use DAWN Platinum in nail salons. Maybe they already do!

I am a person who doesn't write reviews ok , but this stuff is so amazing that I actually have a little time left after doing my dishes. Let's talk bacon grease sitting in a pan in the sink all day with water being ran in it , more dishes being thrown on top of this greasy nightmare, every dish covered in cold bacon grease ( kids ) . This soap took it off !!! No residue, no scrubbing, no parental breakdown, just clean dishes. I will never buy anything else . Love love love this stuff !!!!!!
