I swear by Dawn Platinum. I use it a lot during the day for hand-washing dishes and kitchen cleanup. I just opened a newly-purchased bottle and found it nauseating. Thought it was just a bad bottle until I read these other reviews about the "improved" scent. The scent is now on my counters where I cleaned up and lingering in the kitchen, and I have a bad headache. Noticed it immediately upon putting some of this in the sink. I also have used Dawn Platinum for years to clean our pool cover several times a week - it removes dust and dirt while being gentle enough not to eat up the plastic, and left a pleasant smell (And the covers saves lots of water from evaporation here in Calif.) I could never leave THIS sickening new smell on anything that I was going to get close to. Please fix this back to the old refreshing rain. Also, PLEASE don't mess with the platinum powerwash spray - the most useful new product to hit the market in years and I would hate to live without it. Thanks.

(Dawn Ultra Platinum){refreshing rain scent} I will never skimp on this,when you are the Best ,there will never be another!!

Loyal dawn user here, but I have to join the chorus reporting that the new scent is not good. Please bring back the old refreshing rain scent, or something else that doesn’t smell like this. I cannot believe this scent tested well. I will be looking for a new dish soap and earning friends and family until the scent changes, unfortunately.

This new scent is horrendous. A quick glance at the bottle and it looks to be the same soap I buy, but it's not. I wish there was some bigger warning that you guys changed the scent formula! When I went to wash my dishes I started gagging and thought it must have been something left over on a plate. It wasnt until after I got out an old bottle and saw that there was a difference in the names. Im glad I'm not the only one who's had issues with the soaps new scent but will anything be done? I see that in replies you mention that the product was put through "testing" and what not but it feels like the only testing done was someone taking a quick sniff and calling it a day. Anyone who washes dishes a long time would not stand the smell. Its seriously so nausiating. The headache and gagging brought by the new overwhelming scent of "refreshing rain" is not something I would wish upon anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is concentrated and I use it to not only use it to wash dishes and it's great on plastic. I also use it to get grease stains out of clothes and carpets. I mix it with Epsom salt to make a weed and bug killer. One bottle last a long time.

Love the old product- cannot get past this new gross smell! Even my husband doesn't like it, and he usually could care less.... Will be seeking out alternative products. Hope I can still find the old 'Fresh Scent' formula somewhere. Feels like I was duped at my warehouse store...

I Cannot believe the scent changed from great to gross. Why? Just why? I guess you'll find out soon enough, what a mistake the new chemical concoction was. You could've just made a rain stink an addition to your product line and not change the original. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢

The most disgusting scent ever. It smells like rotten garbage. It's literally making me sick. I have been using Dawn on grease stains for my laundry for as long as I can remember, and I will now have to find something else. Some spilled in my driveway, and in the morning I nearly puked after smelling it. When did they change this? Horrendous.

I told my wife that I was going to check on line to see if anyone else is having a problem with the new scent of Dawn Platinum. Add our voices to the over 500 one star reviews. How could you think this scent was OK? We are over 65 and have used Dawn forever. Not anymore. We're changing brands. By the way, your admission that the recent change in the scent name is very revealing; not a real change - just a name change. It's all about the marketing. Fresh rain smells nothing like this!

I have long used Dawn Ultra Platinum and loved it. I just bought a new bottle and the scent was changed! Now it smells like old lady perfume. You know, the cloying, overly-floral kind that makes you want to choke. I'm sad I will have to look for a new product now! Dawn has been so great for its grease cutting properties. But if it stinks like this, I won't be able to use it anymore. Yuck.
