We do extensive research and testing when we create our products to make sure they meet the needs/preferences of our consumers, and provide an effective clean every time when used as directed, so please know that this isn't the experience we want you to have when using Dawn, and we value your input greatly. Consumer feedback is vital in helping us improve our products and ensuring that we deliver the best possible experience to our consumers. To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Additionally, you can rewash your hands with mild hand soap to remove the scent. Your satisfaction means a lot to us, and we hope you'll give Dawn another try. We have a variety of scents if the Original no longer meets your needs, including an unscented version called Dawn Free and Clear, Unscented.
