Nothing beats the cleaning power of Dawn and I have used it exclusively for decades, the new platinum scent is overbearing and lingering. Smelling of green tea, dirt and baby powder I assumed I got a bad bottle but it appears this is the new scent formulation. Some people might like it but its a little misleading when you have been buying a product for years in the same scent and then suddenly its completely different, why not just make a new scent line instead of replacing what was so good before? Again, it cleans wonderfully still, but the scent lingers and is off putting if you were expecting the old scent. I will be switching to the original from now on because this scent just doesn't work for me even though I prefer the platinum line for the increased cleaning.

Like the other reviewers, I have been using Dawn for years and loved the Dawn Platinum Refreshing Rain. When I started using the new bottle I found that the scent was different. I had to check to see if I had purchased the wrong product, but hadn't. My whole family noticed the difference and hate the new scent. I came to this website to see what was going on and glad to know that it is not just me. I am so disappointed. I too feel that there should have been notified of a new formula on the label. We will be finding a new dishwashing liquid.

Why did you change the scent??? It smells so incredibly horrible now, I will never buy it again (and I’ve been a loyal customer for over 40 years). I always thought Dawn was the best dishwashing detergent on the market. Not now. If the company wants to keep their customers, change the scent back to the way it was.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is concentrated and I use it to not only use it to wash dishes and it's great on plastic. I also use it to get grease stains out of clothes and carpets. I mix it with Epsom salt to make a weed and bug killer. One bottle last a long time.

I grabbed a bottle of Dawn recently assuming it was the original scent…because it had the 2 ducks on the label. Well it took me awhile to figure out what was smelling in the kitchen and noticed at the top of the bottle it said New Scent. I’m glad I am able to put the mystery behind me albeit sad to say I will no longer be using Dawn as the original scent is being eliminated. This new scent is awful!

My favorite dishwashing liquid and stain remover! It cuts through grease and really anything else you may have to wash. I have used it on outdoor items all the way to my laundry. I keep a small bottle in my laundry area at all times. If you have a stain on your clothing, just put a little dot on it, rub it around and let it sit. It works better then any other laundry spot treatment I have tried. If it’s a really, really tuff stain, you may need to treat it a few times. But this stuff will and should take care of it! Try it for yourself! I highly recommend it!

This has to be the best dish washing liquid on the market I have always used this and my parents and grandparents used it before me too, if that doesn’t tell you something I don’t know what will. But this really is hard on grease and grime but gentle on skin like they tell you , also you only need a little bit at a time because it goes such a long way. I absolutely recommend this product.

High priced, but it works so it is worth it. It cuts through grease at a quick rate and it doesn't take much to wash a full load of dishes. I also use it to watch my car and it cuts through everything that gets on my car and leaves it looking shiny and pretty.

This really works for more than just dishes!!! My mother was using a hair product that left her hair EXTREMELY waxy, we thought we were going to have to actually cut her hair out. But then I remembered hearing that people use dawn as a clarifying shampoo before a moisturizing one and let me tell youuuuuu! WORKED MAGIC ON HER HAIR! We got the waxy film off (after a few washes 😅) but I truly don’t think shampoo would’ve done nearly as a good of a job as dawn dish soap just did!! Will remain a staple in our household!

I love Dawn Ulta Platinum dish detergent. It is a little bit more expensive than similar products, but it works so much more efficiently that I end up saving money with how much less product I use. I like the scent as well. I would definitely recommend this product and I purchase this whenever I run out.
