I've been purchasing Dawn dishwashing soap for years in bulk at my local wholesale club. I've always been pleased and never had a second thought on buying any Dawn products but after this last purchase I think I will have to be moving on unless they bring back the old scent. The refreshing rain scent is awful. I can't even describe the odor but it is unpleasing and uncomfortable to be around. I am pretty frugal and was going to try and suffer through the 90 oz container I have but I am about to toss it in the trash. Do yourself a favor and avoid this new scented product at all costs.

I just started a new bottle of Dawn Platinum and I’m really disappointed with the new rain scent. It’s drastically different than the bottle I just finished and not in a good way. The scent of dish soap can actually make doing dishes more enjoyable, but this new scent is just odd. Seems like every scent I like (dish soap, Tide laundry detergent, Neutrogena hand cream) ends up getting “improved” with added perfumes according to the preferences of some silly test panel.

Dawn is the only dish soap ill buy. It suds up good and has a nice lather. Its lasts awhile on the sponge so your not continuously getting more soap. The most important factor to me, it cuts grease!! I don't like rewashing dishes because they are still greasy. I've tried many brands. Dawn is the only one that is good on grease

I loved dawn dish soap, last couple of years I've noticed it doesn't clean the way it use too. I've tried all the different dawns, my dishes come out greasy. I've even boiled water, used more soap, and I get greasy. Don't know what has changed, now I'm looking for something else.

The refreshing rain scent really smells horrible. I used it for a week to see if it would grow on me also because I don't like throwing out things but it still stunk. I had to throw it away. What were you guys thinking with this scent. It smells like musty urination.

Dawn Platinum is the only dish soap worth using. I've tried other brands because they were cheaper, but they didn't clean as well and I wound up using far more than I should have needed to get the job done. I keep coming back to the ads with the baby animals being cleaned carefully with Dawn. If it's safe for our wildlife, then I will always use it in my home.

I’ve been using Dawn since God was a boy but not anymore. The new scent is so disgusting that it burns my eyes and makes me nauseous. And the smell lingers in all of my dishes so I also get to taste this putrid smell. I will never buy Dawn again so long as that is the scent.

I don't know the difference between this and regular Dawn. Sometimes they send coupons for this specifically so I get it but it's whatever. They're all the same to me. I think this one does cost a bit more. If so, probably not worth it. Regular Dawn just as good.

I have always used Dawn and loved it but this new scent the Dawn Platinum has is awful! I didn’t know the scent had changed and thought a stink bug was in my dispenser. I took the thing apart and no bug, I realized it was the new scent. I have a huge bottle and can’t use it because it makes me nauseous.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE THIS PRODUCT.. from the great platinum bottle that goes so well with my appliances, to the product in the bottle! It doesn't much product to clean, it's concentrated, smells great, and cleans with little scrubbing! Love it!
