The smell is sickening and almost impossible to get off of hands, sponge and dishes. My elderly parents use Dawn and at every visit I have been soaking their dish sponge in bleach and literally rinsing my hands in bleach to get rid of the smell. But it cleans the dishes. So I thought the bad smell was due to their Housekeeping habits. I bought a bottle. UGH. Now I understand that the smell is from the Dawn. Smells rotten. Throwing this away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this product. I have not had to use elbow grease on a pot, dish or pan since I bought this product! This product has proved to work in COLD water! We heat our hot water via our oil furnace. With the price of oil in recent years, we have turned the furnace off in warm weather and only heated the water when we plan to take a shower. I will never buy any thing else for cleaning our dishes.

I have used the Original Dawn Platinum since it first hit the shelves. I LOVED it and recommended it highly. I had some stocked up, so I didn't realize right away that the scent changed. I recently opened a bottle and was overwhelmed by the new perfume smell. The bottle looks exactly the same, so I went to store after store looking for the unscented/original Platinum. I did some research and discovered it isn't available any longer without the horrible smell. Not only does the stink give me a headache, but the perfume also made my hands dry out and crack. Now my knuckles are bleeding, dry and itchy. I threw the two brand new bottles I just purchased in the trash.

I love my Dawn dishwashing liquid. I have been using it for years. Nothing, and I mean nothing cleans and cuts gease like Dawn. It is great to use as a stain remover on clothing too! It is also a wonderful hand cleaner when the husband has been working in the garage.

Going back to regular Dawn. Tried the Platinum and even my thoroughly rinsed dishes still had a film on them. Ate off one last night & my pasta tasted like soap. Not a fan. Still a Dawn customer as I’ve never had that problem with regular Dawn, just won’t buy the Platinum again.

I used to be an avid Palmolive user until I realized that my dishes never really looked clean. I was actually embarrassed by how some of my dishes would look when company came over. I switched a couple months back to Dawn and I can definitely tell a difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only is this product great for getting my dishes clean with little to no scrubbing, but it's also great to use to clean my tub and shower. I mix half Dawn with half vinegar in spray bottle and spray, let sit for 5-10 minutes then spray. Little to no scrubbing on soap scum.

My store switched to Dawn Platinum four times more and I'm not happy with it at all! I have been a Dawn user pretty much all my life and there's worldwide not much that can live up to what Dawn is capable of and I traveled all.over. But with the new version I am not happy! It is not as good as the old one bring me back my old Dawn or I might switch to another product. I work in professional kitchens and I speak from experience. We are forever a Dawn household. It keeps a good soapy sink full of dishes that lasts, it's great on grease, and as a cat/kitten foster, it works Wonders on getting rid of fleas. I do like the scent of the original Dawn better, but the fresh rain isn't bad, either.
