We recently upgraded from the original Opal Nugget ice maker to the Opal 2.0. We chose to stick with the same brand because we absolutely love our ice maker. We've only had it for a day so I don't have much to review, however, it is producing ice quickly and quietly. While we opted not to use the water filter due to our built-in-water softener and mixed reviews from other users reviews, the ice quality has been great. Looking forward to seeing how the machine does and I love that it has reminders when needing cleaned

This is the best counter top ice maker hands down. The ice is perfect. The capacity works well for busy 6 person household. Keeps up extremely well during the hottest and busiest time of the year. If you are in a locale that has hard water. I suggest using the hard water filter. A little more expensive. But well worth it in cleaning time and system reliability.

LOVE THIS ICE MACHINE!! It is so easy to make ice for all our family and the size of the ice cubes are perfect for all drinks. The unit is so easy to keep track on the app and a schedule for when we are out of town. can't say more than this is the best machine we have owned!

I’ve been wanting this for a long time but couldn’t justify the cost. I picked up the 2.0 upgraded model on sale and it is a must! Easy to set up, quick to get going, delicious ice that I’m hoping will help me drink more water. It’s more compact than I thought it would be and fits in with my decor!

I just got it and the ice nuggets are perfect! Takes a little bit of time to sanitize and learning the machine but once you do it’s relatively easy. My roommate had this for years and I was so spoiled with it I couldn’t live without it. When I moved out on my home I had to get it, definitely a must have for ice lovers.

Everything is perfect with the ice maker my family loves it, I just wish that it came with cleaning supplies to clean the water tubing and a brush that can clean the water reservoir. I did buy the water filters for the opal ice maker but for some reason they do not work when I have the water tank attached

We love the ice nuggets, which is funny to say. However you can’t move the ice nuggets to your freezer for future use or they become a block of ice. The machine is on our counter and is loud. Our typical freezer ice maker broke and it was cheaper to buy this ice maker.

We love the ice from this machine. The first one was quieter but only lasted for 2 years. That being said, we used RO water in the first one. We have a softening system and high quality RO. Living in AZ the water is super hard even with this in place. So was agreed this one would only get distilled water. It is cumbersome to clean and descale but the quality of the ice is amazing! Hopefully this one will last longer.

We love this ice maker! Don’t know why the negative reviews? We make ice in the morning and evening. By the next morning, the ice is still there…did not melt! Yes, it will clump together as it freezes. Just knock the bag of ice on a concrete surface to break up any chunks. We just hope this machine lasts a long time because it wasn’t cheap…cheaper than to get our Samsung refrigerator ice maker fixed for 2nd time!!

We love this ice maker. We are never out of ice and the size of the nuggets are perfect for all drinks. The only problem we have with it is that the "Add Water" light comes on alot yet there is always water in the side tank. I'm not sure if this problem because of our hard water, but once I put a new filter in it runs perfectly until the next "Add Water" light comes on again.
