I’ve been wanting this for a long time but couldn’t justify the cost. I picked up the 2.0 upgraded model on sale and it is a must! Easy to set up, quick to get going, delicious ice that I’m hoping will help me drink more water. It’s more compact than I thought it would be and fits in with my decor!

I absolutely love this ice maker. I used it at a family friends home where they had it for 4 years already. After that I absolutely had to have one. I love the ice. I love that it is always ready. I love the extra side tank. My party guests were impressed. This is the first ice maker I have come across that I am excited to use and I paid quite a bit more to get this model and I consider it completely worth it.

Everything is perfect with the ice maker my family loves it, I just wish that it came with cleaning supplies to clean the water tubing and a brush that can clean the water reservoir. I did buy the water filters for the opal ice maker but for some reason they do not work when I have the water tank attached

We love this ice maker! Don’t know why the negative reviews? We make ice in the morning and evening. By the next morning, the ice is still there…did not melt! Yes, it will clump together as it freezes. Just knock the bag of ice on a concrete surface to break up any chunks. We just hope this machine lasts a long time because it wasn’t cheap…cheaper than to get our Samsung refrigerator ice maker fixed for 2nd time!!

Been using the product for a week now and am very happy with it. I worked in manufacturing my whole life and when opening the box I pretty much new this product came from a company that cared about quality of their product, by the quality of the packaging.

We want to love this ice maker so desperately as it makes great ice. However, we went through 3 units, ended up returning two of them and in the process of returning the last replacement unit. Each one eventually began making a loud squealing noise when making ice (after a few weeks of operation) with the last unit making other on and off unnatural noises (beyond the fan and compressor). The GE Profile Opal needs a 3.0 - The 2.0 just isn't cutting it terms of cost and quality unfortunately.

We love this ice maker. We are never out of ice and the size of the nuggets are perfect for all drinks. The only problem we have with it is that the "Add Water" light comes on alot yet there is always water in the side tank. I'm not sure if this problem because of our hard water, but once I put a new filter in it runs perfectly until the next "Add Water" light comes on again.

I just got it and the ice nuggets are perfect! Takes a little bit of time to sanitize and learning the machine but once you do it’s relatively easy. My roommate had this for years and I was so spoiled with it I couldn’t live without it. When I moved out on my home I had to get it, definitely a must have for ice lovers.

Our current ice maker is a replacement for one that stopped making ice and made loud screeching noises. Had it for 11 months so just under the year warranty. Got a replacement. This one now doesn’t make ice. It seems as if it’s having an issue with the add water function. There is water in the tank and no air bubbles in the line. Sounds like the motor is about to burn out when it tries to make ice. We sanitize and descale on a regular basis.

This opal 2.0 ice maker is fantastic! Easy to use and clean. Sleek look, and it fits nicely on countertop. Noise level is no louder than the refrigerator’s built in ice maker, so no complaints. It’s great to have a filter easy to get to as well. I highly recommend this ice maker, we have had no issues with it for a family of 3 adults using it frequently on a daily basis. It’s the only ice we use now.
