Love, love, love, love this machine. I can't express how much I love nugget ice. I drink way more water having this in my life now. Even my mother loved it so much that she bought one. It run smooth & quiet — always full of ice. The BEST ice machine in the market.

I am obsessed with the nugget ice maker. I use it all day and even overnight. I grab a cup full of ice from it almost every hour! Best purchase ever!

As other reviews have already stated, it's a big machine. Takes up a lot of counter space. It's also loud. Very loud. But it does make life relatively quickly. The big issue is, it broke in less than 9 months. And when trying to file for a warranty replacement, I discovered that it's not even made by GE. It's made by Curtis. They just license the GE name and logo. So the quality isn't GE quality. And the customer service isn't GE quality. When it broke, Curtis told me to ship it back to them and if it was truly broken, they'd replace it or send a check. It cost $150 for the unit. $160 to ship. They had no units. They shipped me $120 check. So I'm out almost $209

I love the ice it makes — but having to go through the cleaning process every month is crazy !! And it didn’t last 2 years !!! Over and over again cleaning—- with the monthly cleaning , I found mold in my ice !!!!!🤮 crazy !!!!

This ice machine constantly makes a loud screeching noise even if you turn it off. Not worth the money!!! And yes, we looked online but not a ton of helpful information from Sam’s or GE to troubleshoot. We tried several different things to stop the noise which for this price should not be something we should have to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit makes a high pitched, annoying squeal every few minutes. Have to unplug it to make it quit. Everything I have read is that it’s a known defect that they refuse to repair. You know it’s bad when there are You Tube videos showing same examples.

I wanted to love this machine…and I did the first use. It worked flawlessly. Second use, “add water” error. Checked the side tank and checked the main water reservoir; nothing seemed wrong. After I put the ice bin back into place it worked. The next time I used it I had constant “add water” errors. I consulted the internet and it recommended some tips to purge (possible) air in the lines. This did not correct the problem. I contacted GE and they said to remove the water filter. THISS should correct the problem. They did not take my name or information. They did not give me a case number. They said they don't because this is such a common problem and removing the water filer (white or blue one) usually corrects the issue. HEY GE, if you know this is an issue CORRECT IT!! Don't keep selling the same machines with the same filters!!

This is a horrible machine. It worked fine for 2 months and then started making a grinding noise, which usually indicates a required cleaning. So I cleaned it. Multiple times. Now it won't make ice, prompts for water even though the reservoir is full, and is in general, a difficult appliance. It's going back. Immediately.

I would not recommend this product at all. In total from January 1 to May of this year, we bought a total of three of these ice machines and all three have the same issue of the gear sounding like they were squeaking or squealing, or the gears were grinding. A high-pitched scream was coming from the ice machine and we had to continuously exchange them after this last time. We just decided to get a refund back from Sam's Club and call it a loss would not recommend.
