My GE Profile Opal 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker with Side Tank and 4 Additional Filters was expensive yet fantastic. GE provides a WiFi app to control turning it on and off, so when traveling, I can turn the machine off or switch it on whenever I need ice. The ice is delightful to chew while also sipping on a cold drink. I highly recommend this product after watching and learning from YouTube that it is a great product, and I am sure you will be pleased with it.

We have always loved the ice from our favorite fast food restaurants and always wanted to have a way to enjoy it at home. Now thanks to GE it's possible to do so daily. It gets no better than this and we absolutely love it. So far it works just as described and keeps our cups filled with the crunchy ice we have come to love over the years. If you love the crunchy ice then don't hesitate to purchase this machine. Cleaning is of minimal effort as long as you keep a strict plan to do so every couple weeks.

Our current ice maker is a replacement for one that stopped making ice and made loud screeching noises. Had it for 11 months so just under the year warranty. Got a replacement. This one now doesn’t make ice. It seems as if it’s having an issue with the add water function. There is water in the tank and no air bubbles in the line. Sounds like the motor is about to burn out when it tries to make ice. We sanitize and descale on a regular basis.

This is a great temporary ice maker (e.g., during holidays, weekends, parties), as it makes ice very quickly. However, there are times the ice pellets get stuck in the rotator that tosses the ice into the container and the noise is akin to the sound of screeching howler monkeys. As such, we only use the ice maker when we know there will be a need for extra ice. Also, it would be great if there was a feature to keep the ice cold but no longer produce more ice once you had as much ice as you wanted. The sensor to indicate it is full does not always work.

This machine makes the best ice ! However, after 4 months the machine makes an awful squealing noise . I clean it once a week and that doesn’t seem to be enough the water and the parts on the machine gather a dirty film that is hard to remove . I would not recommend this product .

We loved our ice maker, until about 8 months in when it started making an awful, very loud grinding noise. I quickly unplugged it, and called GE. I was told to look up a video on how to fix it. This did not work. I called back and was given more directions to try to fix it myself, which we are currently trying to do (while getting soaking wet in the process). I feel like a product that costs this much, should not cause this much trouble so soon, and we have been given no real help with our trouble.

I love this GE ice maker. A friend had one in Maui Hawaii and I used everyday during our trip. Upon returning home from our trip, I bought one. It works great. Love the size of ice. Easy ice maker to use. Looks nice on kitchen counter.

We love our Nugget ice maker. We have had a couple of issues with it working correctly and with noise but a new machine resolved the issues. It is important to follow manufacture cleaning guidelines and to use distilled water.
