Overall liking the fridge so far. Considerations for consumers and opportunities for improvement for LG include: 1. Too much temperature variation throughout cavernous refrigerator section, confirmed using thermometers. Needs better distribution of cold air throughout 2. Cold air escapes fast - need to get in and get out. Discovered the need to set both refrigerator and freezer sections down as low they will go to maintain temperatures. 3. One of the refrigerator doors could use a more thoughtful storage compartment/space for small items. Prior fridge had a "junk drawer" in a door higher shelf that was perfect. 4. Ice compartment on the small size considering the overall size of this fridge. Also an annoying thing we have discovered is the right size of the ice storage compartment must get a little warmer, and the ice there tends melt a little then clump together and won't drop when distributing ice cubes from the external door. Requires going into the ice compartment door every few days if we think about it and break up the ice, which commonly causes us to scrape our hand knuckles on the tight space in the process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this French Door 28 cu. in. Refrigerator as a replacement for an older 27 cu. in. premium brand dual door refrigerator. The LG has satisfactory to good interior food storage space; however, not too please with the small ice maker capacity nor the longer delay of the door ice/water touch-button functionality. The overall discounted price-point was ok, but given it's short-commings, I would be disappointed had I paid more for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed with the inability to accommodate taller items, like a box of wine. The adjustable shelf features are nil.  It’s a nice looking refrigerator but it’s not very practical. I am considering returning it. It would be nice if shelves didn’t have plastic ledge on one side as the means of holding up the shelf. If each shelf had metal hooks that go into the back, I would be able to move shelves from the left over to the right side. But that’s not an option when shelves are designed this way. Very very disappointed. I think the latch to open the ice maker seems like it would break easily, since it’s plastic. I do like how easy it is to use the water on the door. The spout is easier to see than a fridge I previously had. So I can fill a water bottle easily, without the need for a funnel.

Like everything I buy, I do my research. LG has a reputation for great electronics. I love how much room this fridge has. We are three adults sharing this refrigerator/freezer. We no longer have problems with room. The door icemaker is not intrusive so it doesn’t take up much room. The freezer is huge. All in all I’m very glad We bought this refrigerator/freezer. Consumer Reports comes through again. Another great LG product in the house.

Excellent fridge with decent features and large size inside. The fridge portion is larger than most of the options and the freezer can fit a lot too. Good ice making availability and water too. Price was very reasonable and sales are good. LG makes an overall good fridge and very quiet.

Never buy this product! 6 months old device has a problem. Huge noise, I can here it in all rooms in my house. Support said I have to defrost it manually. Is it a joke? I had my old fridge and never had this noise. After this I received an error code in LG application (Fan Motor) and support said - it's a normal, you have to defrost manually again. Looks like I have to avoid to buy LG at all with this support and customer care. Thank you LG!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1) Water/Ice dispenser is poorly engineered as both water and ice are dispersed all over the aperture when filling a glass and clean-up is required after each usage 2) Drawers are constructed of low standard materials and pose a likely risk of damage or functionality

Purchased this less than three years ago and the compressor went bad. Warranty only showed 1 year. Cheap crap not American made. It was a mistake to purchase this. Won’t ever purchase a Lg anything ever. Now it won’t let me press 1 on the rating. Only shows 5star. Wow.

The fridge door emits a beep after it has been open for 20 secs. I contacted LG who says you cannot disable the beep after the door is open for 20 secs. This is extremely annoying when you are trying to get your food out of the fridge to make a meal. Apparently it affects the cooling capabilities of this fridge. We had a previous French Door Fridge (not LG) and it cooled the fridge without shutting the door every 20 secs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in Jan. 2024 and the freezer fan stopped working before the end of May 2024. Been out of service for 3 weeks now and still don't have a firm date on when it will be back up and running. Worked well and ran quietly until fan went out.
