Best smoked turkey we’ve ever tasted, worth the price! It’s juicy not dry and you can definitely taste the smoked flavor in it down to the bone. Glad they have it this year again, just bought another one. Hopefully they will continue to sell it every year for Thanksgiving.

I went through a lot of trouble to get the smoked turkey because I live far from a Sam's club. I've never had smoked turkey and I wanted to try something different this Thanksgiving. Even though the turkey only weighed 12#, it was very tough and had lots of tendons just like a very old turkey. It had globs of strange looking fat inside the turkey cavity and under the skin, like someone put it there. The smoke flavor was really bad. I've cooked lots of turkeys in my life and this turkey was absolutely the worst. It was a waste of my $20.00.

I'm glad I was able to pick one of these up this year. It's totally worth it! It's easier than making your own, and to be honest, it tastes better than most. The ones I've made, the ones friends have made, special ordered... this one takes the cake. Do yourself a favor and get one of these! We added broth to the bottom of the roasting pan and had it on a roasting rack. Ended up putting foil on part way through so it didn't brown too much.

I was skeptical when I bought this turkey, even with the great reviews. I felt fairly certain it would be dry since it's pre-cooked. I could not have been more wrong! This truly was the best turkey I've ever eaten and the price was right! Everyone raved about how delicious this turkey tasted at our Thanksgiving dinner! I hope to see it every year so I can purchase it. I even went back to buy another since they are a seasonal item and I know I'm going to want it again and not wait another year for it. You will not be disappointed!

If you want a turkey, buy a turkey. If you want a ham, buy a ham. If you want a turkey that tastes like ham, buy this. My taste buds were confused. Overall, I didn't care for it because it didn't taste like a turkey. I missed a herb roasted turkey flavor and found the color and texture a bit off-putting. It tasted too artificial and salty, in my opinion. 2 out of 4 people didn't care for it.

This turkey was AMAZING!!!! I was scared it was going to fall flat and got a game plan together to infuse it with the smallest amount of flavor by rubbing it down with herbs, butter and onions. Then I wrapped it in foil and warmed it on my gas grill outside so I could use my oven for "real cooking". I thought if I made great sides, we could cover the turkey with gravy and endure it. Boy was I wrong. It was so smokey yummy and my herb assault just took it up a notch. I'm totally doing this for now on. My whole turkey cooking days are so over! The only downside is this turkey is ugly! The sight of it does not inspire thoughts of great flavor. But don't be fooled. It's delicious! No one ever saw it anyways because I cut it up as soon as I took it off the grill. Problem solved, lol.

I buy these smoked turkeys because they taste great are convenient and are never dry. They do seem to be cured and taste like ham, so if that bothers you, you may not like this. I like to pop these on the charcoal grill to free up oven space. They are fantastic!

No messy raw turkey. Very easy. Unwrapped, took out small plastic piece near legs (no instructions but just wiggle and pull hard), and placed in oversized cast iron skillet with broth. Baked 350 degrees. Ours was slightly over 10 lbs. Bake time approximately 2 hrs. We did longer and still was not dried out - very moist with the broth poured over as we carved. I purchased gravy on the side since this pre-cooked turkey (through smoking) will not produce same quantity of natural broth/juices. Average size in store was 12 lbs. I hope they carry this next Thanksgiving as well.

THIS IS NOT CONVENTIONAL TURKEY FOLKS. so if you buy one thinking it is .. you are STUPID .. Amazing product for the price .. and yes the dark meat will taste like ham somewhat .. the white meat will taste like smoked turkey and a great one at that.. BEST smoked turkey by far for any price.. Our family buys two every year, one for Thanksgiving and one for when we randomly want a turkey. These are so easy to make, and we've always loved the flavor. They've always been nice and moist as long ad you don't reheat it for too long. Wish they were cheaper like they used to be, but they're still good.
