Heating Instructions

Place unopened package on tray in refrigerator for 1-2 days, according to chart below. Do not open bag until turkey is defrosted. Keep turkey cold. Do not thaw at room temperature.

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove thawed turkey from bag and remove turkey from inner cooking netting. Trim away excess neck skin, if desired. Heat your turkey immediately.

Heating

Place turkey, breast-side up, in roaster or shallow roasting pan. Heat in center of oven at 350°F, according to the following chart.

If turkey becomes golden-brown before it is fully heated, cover with a loose tent of aluminum foil to prevent over-browning. Turkey is fully heated when meat thermometer, not touching any bone, registers at 145°F in the deepest part of the breast. Remove from oven and let stand 20 minutes before carving.

Note: For all recipes, ensure turkey is heated to an internal temperature of 145°F.

This MM Hickory Smoked Turkey is so tender, moist, and flavorful, that I refuse to buy any other turkey for my holiday meals. It is delicately smoked, so that it preserves the subtle turkey flavor without overpowering it. Preparation is a breeze, because the bird is already fully cooked. All it takes is heating-up in the oven for a couple of hours, depending on the number of pounds it weighs. I have served these turkeys on at least four different occasions, and each time I have received many compliments. They are my go-to turkey, and are consistently excellent in quality.

Best Smoked Turkey I’ve had. I hope Sam’s keeps stocking this during the holidays. Big hit with the family and we fed twenty three with it and one ham. So easy on my wife, she didn’t have to spend two days cooking. I cut it up the day befor and served it cold with hot gravy.
