Customer reviews for De'Longhi Dedica Arte Espresso Machine forWater leaks from bottom
Echo some of the other reviews. Tried to set it up following the instructions and water is pouring out of the bottom by the electric cable. It seems like there is a disconnect for the water supply and the water is not arriving at the steam wand or the espresso maker itself. Dangerous.

Quality dropped dramatically
I’m having this espresso machine for only couple of days but I am already disappointed. I’ve had the earlier version of Dedica from 2020, and liked everything but the steam wand, cause it was tricky to produce the perfect foam for latte art. And now, when I’ve seen this Arte version, I was delighted and bought it to try. However, the machine itself feels different. The press button is not that pleasant to push, like in the older version, the portafilter holder takes a great effort to bring it to close position. Moreover, after the extraction the cup filter with the extracted espresso remains sticked to the top of the brewing unit. Almost each time which is annoying. Yes, the steam wand made a progress comparing to the 2020 version, but everything else just dropped.

Wow! I am in love!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine sat in its box in my living room, out of sight for a good week before I mustered up the courage to unbox and use it. I LOVE espresso and pay(far too much) for someone to make me a cappuccino almost every day. We have had a Nespresso machine for a very long time, have gone through a few because they seemingly are not build to last. The espresso it produces is fine, but there's really not a whole love of options. One evening, when my husband was out of town I decided to unbox this(because he complained our kitchen was too small for it). It was really well packaged and came with a simplified instruction manual, and a more complicated one that addresses any issues as well. I washed all the external parts as recommended and plugged it it and checked out all the parts to see how they worked together. I had purchased a canister of Illy espresso in anticipation of when I actually decided to use this. Because it was late, I decided to test it out in the am. I powered the machine on and followed the instructions int he simplified manual which made the whole process very simple to someone who was scared making espresso would be very difficult. I used the single espresso filter, added my espresso and used the tamper to level and compress it. Put it in the machine, turned it, placed my cup and pressed the button! Holy cow, real espresso and so much better than Nespresso and much less waste. I used the steamer function which was also really easy to figure out, but it works a lot better with whole milk than it does the skim milk I had in the fridge. It's been a few days and I've even sold my husband on this and I think it's going to have a permanent spot it our very tiny kitchen. You can see it next to our Nespresso and can agree its quite small!
Espresso machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this espresso machine and really didn’t know how to use it. I enjoy expresso but never made my own before. I watched a couple videos and started brewing. This machine is fantastic and really easy to use. I’m saving so much money now by making my own drinks instead of going to a specialty coffee shop. 100% recommend this machine.
Makes a Great Cup of Joe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This espresso machine is small and compact which is great as it does not take up a lot of space on the counter top. It is easy to use and clean. I like that fact that it can use ground coffee or pods.
Adding elegance to your daily coffee experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a well designed De’Longhi Dedica coffee machine which sleep in design and offers custom made espresso drinks with big and bold flavor. It also has a My LatteArt steam wand which assists with making decorative images in milk foam ever single time. The machine has a quality portafilter with adjustable frother. It also has an enhanced dosing capability and premium tamper capability. There is a 15 bar pressure pump which features the adjustable controls and maximizes the extraction of flavor and aroma. The adjustable frother can be used to customize milk foam and steam levels for cappuccinos and other types of latte drinks. There is an automatic flow stop dispenser which dispenses 1 or 2 espressos and eliminates the guess work. The coffee amount and temperature can be adjusted to our personal needs. There is a removable water tank which is easy to refill and attach back. The coffees machine is easy to use with ground coffee beans and is also compatible with easy serving espresso (ESE) pods. A great addition to our home daily coffee needs.
Nice Sleek Design!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing that I noticed about this expresso machine was it’s nice sleek design. It’s a nice smaller size and doesn’t take up much counter space. I like the fact that I can use either fresh ground coffee or pods in this machine. The directions were pretty easy to follow and it makes some great tasting cappuccino!!
Wow !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine replaced another name brand espresso machine that I was previously using. This is more user friendly, streamlined and easy to operate. The sleek design compliments any counter or coffee bar set up. I love that it doesn’t clutter up my counter space as it’s about 6-8 inches wide, stainless steel professional grade. It’s great for both large & smaller latte brews. This machine will bring out your inner barista.
Fabulous - I Love Doing Latte Art With This!
What I like about De'Longhi Dedica Arte - Produces high quality steamed milk and espresso What I don't like about De'Longhi Dedica Arte - After 2 to 3 drinks you'll have some wait time before you can make another (to be expected with non commercial appliances, but would be a luxury feature to resolve this) Things that entertained me about bad reviews of De'Longhi Dedica Arte (cause you can tell these people were never baristas before): Problem 1. I saw complaints that the pods come out of the portafilter if you knock it against something. This is supposed to happen so you can clean the brewer with the cleaning portafilter and so you can better clean both the pods and portafilter areas. Solution 1. What you need is called a knock box, which is just a box with a bar in it. It's what baristas use to knock the espresso out of the pod without knocking the pod out of the portafilter. If you don't have a knock box, you can use a bowl or tupper ware and a butter knife over that to knock it against and have the pod land in the bowl or tupperware. Hold the knife while you do this. Problem 2. I saw complaints that the steam wand was too loud. I'm not trying to gaslight you, maybe you did get a product with an issue to it. But my perspective is this steam wand is perfect. You just might not know how to use it. Solution 2. Basically the issue is you need to think of it as you are building up pressure in the pitcher like a tea kettle, and you have to relieve that pressure by making the steam wand hiss at the beginning to take pressure out of the steam being introduced to the milk. Then you need to keep just the first inch or so in the milk in the pitcher (right where there's a line on the tip so you can unscrew and deep clean it). You want to make sure not only you're not too deep, but also if you were to imagine 2 perpendicular lines like a cross over your pitcher, I like to keep my milk wand in the top left section of that imaginary spot. Right there with a tilt of about 45 degrees is where I find my milk vortex and after my initial hissing at the beginning there is not much sound. Problem 3. People were upset that when you close the portafilter of espresso in the machine after you pack it, the machine moves easily as you try to shut that. This is because if you made the machine too heavy people wouldn't be able to easily move it, and I bet there would be a lot of complaints about that. It would definitely inconvenience me on the clean up. Solution 3. As I am placing my packed portafilter into the espresso machine, I put my other arm on top of the machine as I close it to hold it down, like I'm posing for my old school photos.
Espresso that is guaranteed to warm your soul!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a great cup of espresso in the morning no longer has to cost an arm or a leg, and even better, doesn’t require one to be a professional barista. That is all thanks to the De’Longhi EC885M Dedica Arte Espresso Machine. This small machine warms my soul every morning with a great cup of espresso. Setup is not that hard as long as you read the instruction manual and follow the steps listed. I cannot stress this point strong enough, all issues getting your first cup of the best espresso you will have can be minimized or eliminated all together by reading and following the manual. The small footprint of the EC885M takes up little room on my counter. This is great since modern kitchens tend to have little counter space with all the gadgets that are out there. Once set up the machine is extremely easy to use. Simply measure out the right amount of coffee using the provided accessories, press the appropriate button, and voila, you have your espresso. I can tell you that the machine produces a smooth, steady flow of espresso that is the best tasting espresso I have ever had. De’Longhi has hit a home run with this machine. You get great tasting espresso while saving money since you will never want to get it from a coffee shop again. I highly recommend the De’Longhi EC885M. The espresso from it will warm your soul too.
