I have been struggling for nearly 4 years, trying to find a food that my Chihuahua would like. After realizing that she doesn't like dry or wet, I decided to buy the Freshpet Select Tender Chicken Recipe for Small Dogs and well......its a winner!!! This dog eats everything and licks her bowl clean after every meal. I am so happy to have found this food and at a good price!

My 11 1/2 year old Goldendoodle has always had digestive issues. Even tried prescription food. After an unrelated surgery, we tried Freshpet to get Zach back to eating. I made the mistake of spoiling my little Shorkie with too much chicken and turkey meant for humans, and she now ignores all dog kibble. I thought I would give Freshpet a chance since it’s formulated specifically for dogs and I wanted to make sure she was getting the right nutrients. She cleaned the bowl for the past few days. We’re sold! I truly hope this never goes away. I only wish it came in a larger bag!

Marley, my 8 year old bichon frise/poodle was diagnosed with diabetes and had little energy. I gave him Freshpet and he loved it! He eats every morsel and looks forward to mealtime. My dog Anastasia is a 7 month old Maltipoo and she is a very picky eater. I have tried her on multiple different brands, I've tried dry dog food and wet dog food and she just will not eat. I tried her on Freshpet for the first time today and it's the most I have ever seen her eat! She licked the bowl cleaned and begged for much! I can't say enough about this food it is wonderful!

My jack Russell chihuahua mix has been on a variety of Freshpet formulas for about a month now and we’re both absolutely in love with this food! His hair is shinier, he’s even more active than before and the biggest change I’ve seen is in his # 2 habits. He goes about half the amount as before because he’s absorbing all of his food and now his stools are perfectly firm and normal . I do wish there was more protein variety in their line but I cam easily overlook this due to the many positive benefits I’ve seen in switching to this food! If you have a dog with skin issues or digestive problems, try this food! Just make sure to gradually switch their old food with this over a span of a week like I did . Enthusiastically recommended!!

I decided to try this as an incentive to get my dog excited about meals again. Following an injury, her appetite decreased and just wasn’t coming back quick enough. To say she loved it would be an understatement! I’ve always taken the eager pups featured in advertisements as an exaggeration, but I don’t now! Lulu is dancing at my feet with her tail wagging as soon as she hears my fridge open and her bag crinkle! With a rescue dog of unknown history, finding a food that satisfies and is healthy can be a chore. My saga took eleven months with multiple types and brands, even vet recommended types. With only six teeth, some types were immediately rejected. The poor dog, who was named Bella, had a very sparse coat and an underweight appearance; nothing seemed to help. While walking past the Pet Refrigerator, on my way to purchase another product, the FreshPet Small Dog package immediately caught my attention, so a single bag was purchased as a trial. Bella was a very picky eater until FreshPet Small Dog appeared. Within two weeks, Bella's coat took on a more normal appearance, not completely filled in but heading in the right direction. At three weeks, the coat appears almost normal; I can hardly wait to see the four week results. My groomer, who bathes my rescue dogs weekly, can't understand how a change of food can make such a difference. In my case, FreshPet Small Dog is a pure Godsend. My neighbor's Yorkies are enjoying my previous dog food stock.

After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. Her poops are smaller compared to the kibble which gave her huge stools for her size. The food has a strong scent of meat.
