I couldn't find a canned or dry product that my dog would continue to eat. One day I decided to try the small dog batch that you have, and I fed my dog a serving and he wolfed it down. He loves your food. I feed him twice a day and he will tell me in the evening that it's time to eat, most days he wants it early. He has been eating it for about 3 months and never tires of it. My toy poodle (age 17), whose prior life was as a breeding female in a puppy mill, stopped showing any interest in eating about 6 months ago. After several trips to our vets office, checking to see what our baby had going on, they could find nothing. He is a Boston terrier and his weight has always been around 22 lbs. He started with stomach issues with loose bowls to just simply not eating. His vet said maybe he had an intestinal bacteria. We tried antibiotics, and had blood work done, and they found nothing. Well..After we put the bowl down, he ate like a starving animal. We couldn't believe it. Now 4 weeks in and he runs to the refrigerator and jumps around letting us know he wants more. He not only plays again and runs around with his dog sister, we put our other dog on it now! His weight has come up 3 lbs. And his coat that always has been wiry, is so soft, he's like a different dog. So now both dogs are on Freshpet, and we have our boy back. And it's true, they both act like puppies again. Thank you Freshpet, because if I had not seen your commercial, we would have lost our beloved baby.

I have a 3yr-old small poodle/chihuahua mix that has given me fits trying to keep him happy at mealtime. My 12 year old Yorky is very picky and has been her whole life. She has never liked any type of fresh pet food. I tried this on a whim after purchasing from a local grocery store and to my surprise, she loves it. She eats the whole bowl and licks the bowl after. Bodacious, my 2-year-old Chorkie, LOVES ALL Freshpet recipes... he gets so excited every time I mention it is time to eat. Last year, my dog Bootz began experiencing a poor quality of life and stopped eating his food. I tried all different kinds of foods, even vet recommended and he eventually would stop eating again. I'm a little late to writing a review. My dog was a very pickie eater she was not a fan of kibble and when she liked one it only seemed to last a short time. She has some stomach issues once and a while so her vet suggested I try a bland diet for her. Of course she loved getting home cooked meals and she thrived. We tried a dehydrated brand for a bit but like the kibble be it after about 6 months she wasn't interested. In a moment of desperation because she wasn't eating and she was healthy I stopped at a grocery and said to myself why the heck not. That was 4 years ago, it almost brings me to tears thinking about. All the worry if the food I was giving her would upset her stomach or worrying if I had time to prepare stuff or if she was getting enough nutrients.
