This washer washes very well and is so quiet. It uses hardly any water but gets everything clean. It has so many options for different clothing and I love that it has a coldwater setting as I normally use Tide ColdWater detergent. It is very easy to use and change options. I have other LG appliances and really like the ThinQ app as I can keep track of everything on my phone and get notified when the wash is complete. I hadn't planned to buy black but picked this washer for its features and the color is just beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Yes it does take longer to dry clothes and that has been a very minor adjustment for us but it has allowed us to configure our laundry room to how we wanted by staking out equipment. Super quiet and our room doesn’t feel like a sauna after a load or two. I’m a stickler for maintenance with anything I own so by this dryer needing to be maintained a little different and more often isn’t an issues for me either. After owning an LG washer and dryer for 17 years, it was time for a new set. We love our new LG washer and dryer! The new set has additional settings that we really appreciate. The updated models are very sleek and quite efficient. LG is the way to go! They last longer than any other washer and dryer we have ever owned.

As for AI, I think it's just gimmick as I can't see any benefit to it versus choosing the right cycle and probably it's worse because I know what's in there!

purchased about 3 weeks ago. Washer immediately tripped gfic plug in my laundry room. Gfci plugs are nationally required by code in the US and it is well commented on that these washers trip gfci plugs. I don’t see anywhere where LG has addressed this problem. This is installed in a brand new home with 400 amp service. Had LG certified tech out and he said we need a “higher rated gfci” but wasn’t clear what that meant. The washer draws ~10amps and it’s plugged into a 20amp circuit. Washer itself seemingly is good but what good is it if it stops running within the first 30 seconds.
