There is a foul odor from this brand new washer drum that really bothers my husband and me. We've never had a washer that required the door to be left opened overnight or a long period of time after washing a load of clothes. We've purchased all new required inlet and outlet connectors and the certified professional installers installed them just a few weeks ago. There is no spin cycle only which is very important/useful. Also, error code appeared/interrupted delicate cycle but it's not found in any manual.

First of all, I want to note that I have submitted previous reviews which were apparently rejected due to trash talking about LG.com installers. So I won't talk about that here except to say to research whether LG's installers will meet your needs. Once properly installed, I am very happy with this model. It is so convenient to not have to measure detergent and clean the measuring cup every time. After months of use, it seems to wash well, reliably, and quietly. However, the user interface and customer service could use work. Nothing in the manual or customer service rep training could tell me when to use "AI Wash" (a new mode that appeared on this model). Customer service reps are confused because "AI Wash" was a feature instead of a mode on previous models, and they can't get their heads around the new AI Wash mode. Whoever designed it made the decision to have the default mode be "Normal" instead of "AI Wash" so I am going to assume AI Wash is more for marketing than performance and ignore it.

This thing cannot wash bedding. Will says for hours « 3 minutes remaining » while it’s suposed ro spin. Does not even attempt to spin seriously. I also have a 24 inches Miele. Was diificult to do bedding with that small machine. But it has become impossible with that LG. Connecting that to the internet requires an IT specialist. AI is king of ennoying. Maybe ok for some. Will wash regular stuff like any other cheaper washer can do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second LG washer and it works tremendously well! The one caveat is that you have to use the ThinQ app to get full functionaility. Honestly, the UI of the washer is much more complicated compared to the previous generation. I don't mind using the app, but I can see it being a dealbreaker for someone who isn't tech-savvy. I love the recent update that gives you an estimate for cycle duration based on the load. One difference compared to my last washer (4.5cu ft) is it doesn't seem stressed out during the spin cycle, even when full of towels.

This machine exceeded my expectations! My clothes are cleaner than ever and the laundry is done sooner. I hear nothing during wash cycles and only a minor hum during its fastest spin cycle. I love the detergent auto dispenser! The app and status notifications are also useful. The black steel is stunning. Just wish it provided adjustability over the interior light; it turns off while unloading. Leaving the door open so the seal dries is necessary, but unsightly for such a handsome appliance.

My wife wanted a large capacity washer with hand wash/wool setting. This is pretty much the only one out there. Bosch makes a front load, but it’s a compact one. Speed Queen makes a top load but it is not suitable for wool because it has an agitator and does not have Wi-Fi compatibility. This LG has all the bells and whistles, including a wide selection of wash cycles, Wi-Fi/Alexa/smartphone compatibility, large capacity. I only wish the detergent/fabric softener drum would accommodate more loads. The warranty is a standard 1 year warranty, but the drum and motor have longer warranties. This is my first front load and LG product. So far, so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OUr old LG started to leak so we bought this new type of LG. For the men it is so easy to use and the AI helps you all the way. Women love it but wants to do the work instead of letting the machine tell you. My wife is incapacitated with a leg operation so I have been doing the wash--Love washing now.

The washer is beautiful and it works flawlessly. I purchased the washer 5 days ago and also bought and installed the matching dryer yesterday. They are both very quiet and do not vibrate hardly at all. I love the features and the capacity. I also love how short the cycle times are compared to previous models. One small note I would like to say, I use distilled vinegar as my fabric softener. If you fill the softener dispenser with vinegar as you would the Detergent dispenser, all the softener will slowly leak into the drum within about 24 hours. That's no big deal to me though. I understand that isn't how it was intended to be used. While I can't speak on the reliability since I haven't even had them for a week, I can say the quality of the machines have gone up. I had a WM9000HWA before this washer and it was a great washer but it would vibrate significantly more and make much more noise in the spin than this one does. The old washer would take about 2 hours and some change for a full load while this machine takes a little over an hour which I love! Highly recommend! They're pricey but worth it!

I purchased the matching washer and dryer and they are great! The cycles are adjustable, both machines hold large loads, and they are quiet! Though they cost a lot of money, I have no complaints, nor I have I owned units like this before. I have only been using about 6 weeks, so I will update if there are any problems. I haven't used the function with the app yet.
