We bought this to replace a 22 year-old GE Profile stacked set. This unit is a couple of inches taller and didn't fit into our existing space. Seems the standard height has increased a bit in 20+ years. Shouldn't be a problem for most situations. The additional height comes with a much larger capacity for both the washer and dryer which is a huge benefit. The front control panel is easy to use and both the washer and drier have predefined cycles available with a single button push. Via the app, you can also download a cycle from a list of additional predefined cycles once you have connected the unit to your WiFi. The washer allows the user to adjust the cycle settings, like the water temperature. The dryer however, is not as flexible in that you can't adjust the temperature but you can adjust the dry level. This forces you to find the cycle with the temperature you want and then adjust the other settings. Getting notified on my phone when the cycle is done is great. Clothes are removed from the dryer more often when still warm before they wrinkle. Some suggested improvements: - let the user adjust all parts of the currently selected cycle (e.g. dryer temp). - define a dewrinkle cycle available via the front panel that runs for a few minutes on med-high heat that can be used when clothes have sat in the dryer for a while. - allow the user to define their own cycle in the app and have it available to all users that connect to the machine (e.g. my wife can see cycles I create) - once downloaded, make that cycle available for all future uses without needing to launch the app to download it again, unless another cycle is downloaded - in the app, provide a table that shows all attributes for the cyclecs rather than forcing the user to click each one to see its definition Most of the above can be addressed via updated software. Hoping to see them addressed in the near future.

We have one in our vacation home and never a problem. They look sleek and have the most up to date technology and so user friendly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the LG washtower and have used it for the previous six weeks. We're very happy with the ease of doing laundry. We purchased this unit so that it would allow us more space to install two tall storage cabinets in the laundry room.

This review is about the options I thought I was getting when I purchased the product but was extremely disappointed in that LG could not accommodate my needs. The issue is the venting of the dryer. I searched the internet for a combo unit whereby I can vent the dryer on the right side of the unit. This unit was advertised as being able to vent on the side. Two things went wrong here. First, I was not aware that a separate side venting kit had to be purchased. So be mindful of this added cost. Second, once I spent money on this side venting kit, the dryer could NOT be vented on the right side although there is a pre-cut hole on the unit. The reason it can't be vented on the side is because there is a gas pipe and other parts housed on the right side. The LG technician that came out to install the unit said he couldn't move the internal parts. Now I'm stuck with this unit, I'm out the money for the side venting kit I will not use and it's now going to cost me money to make other arrangements to have this combo unit fit in the space I need it to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my LG washer and dryer tower for 2-3 months now and it’s nicknamed “the big eye,” by my grand kiddos. I have had several LG TV’s so I thought I would stay loyal with the LG brand. My clothes come out smelling fresh and clean. The tower’s capacity is large and fits a lot of clothes or towels, and blankets in them. It’s aesthetically beautiful. The control panels are totally easy to use. I didn’t even have to read the instructions. I watch my grandkids and I’m constantly doing laundry. At least 2 loads daily so the tower has taken a beating and still works wonderfully. The door gets slammed into the wall and not a dent on the door. Like my LG TV’s, this washer and dryer are an outstanding product. I’ve included a photo. I haven’t wiped it down since I bought it and it looks great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wash tower is mind blowing. I had a middle the road washer and dryer set, and LG makes a vastly superior product. Works with any size load, from a couple shirts to king size puffy comforters, washer cleans every bit perfectly. The gas dryer is incredibly efficient, cutting drying time in half. The fact it’s a tower is a great space saver.

I love all the smart features. My favorite is that it automatically sets to the settings I use most, and that the dryer automatically sets to the best option based on the washer setting. Would have given 5 stars but the dryer lint trap broke a few months after purchasing. The replacement was covered by warranty though.

My wash tower fits into my former laundry station leaving me much more usable space. The washer and dryer are quiet and energy efficient. My LG kitchen package was purchased 15 years ago and I have praised LG to all of my family and friends over the years. When I was looking to replace my old washer and dryer, there were cheaper brands available, but I was determined that LG was the only brand I would purchase. Last year I needed to replace my old TV; and of course, it is an LG!

This unit work great. However, there are a couple of issues that I have with it. First, the washing machine door does not close as easy as it did at the stores (all stores - so it is not a worn out door lock). You really have to slam it to lock it. The service person told me it is supposed to be this way. I don't agree with that. Whatever. The Wi-Fi connection is on and off and the remote start turns on and off. So I can't use the feature. Needs improvement
