I held off on buying these for a year or two because of the reviews. Haha. May have been a first timers luck, but I had no issue installing it in my 4 door, 28cu, smart hub fridge. No leaks or anything unusual rather than water sputtering out of water dispenser for a few seconds as it adjusted to the new filter. I didn't turn off my water (tough to get to without scratching my tile floors), but just gently turned the water filter into place until it caught and went in. Had to do an extra rotation at first since it didn't seem aligned, but eventually went in, no problem. Best of luck! Hopefully my luck continues... haha

I didn’t read the reviews before removing my original filter to make sure I ordered the correct replacement. When I tried to reinsert like instructions for inserting a new one until my new cartridge came, it hissed and leaked all in my drawers. I am terrified to leave it without my frig flooding! I just left it out and hope I can make ice since I had to reset my ice maker! I have no confidence that a new filter will work bc I should be able to stick my original one in as a placeholder. I have been referring everyone to your product but can’t in good conscience anymore bc if this major defect! Help! What are my options!? Very disappointed.

my fridge model, rs22t5201sr/aa, needs a "for use in system da97-08006c-a" (that "a" at the end is very important!). when changing the filter last night i noticed that the box stated the correct "for use in system" product #, but the actual filter did not have the a at the end of the #. it appears that it makes a 100% difference as to whether or not you'll have a huge puddle of water on your floor after a filter replacement. more like a warehouse packaging issue- since the product in the box was not what was listed on the factory packaging.

After reading the long "How NOT TO have it LEAK" review I grew a pair and went for it. The original came out easily. The new one leaked even though I gently pushed it in while turning it to lock. Then.... I shut off the water line to my refrigerator with the small ball valve behind the refrigerator, installed the filter the same way but without any resistance and turned the water back on. No leaks.

Your water filter is worthless. I have purchased these filters multiple times and require my water to be clean, especially clean due to being a heart transplant recipient. Dirty water could cause all sorts of medical problems, which is why I don’t drink from, and rarely even run water through your filters, because I don’t want to get sick, and I don’t want to throw any more money away for something that should work but does not. I have contacted Samsung about this problem in the past and they gave me a ridiculous excuse about the filters, not being made by Samsung, therefore Samsung are not responsible for them, yet they require them in their products. I know that your filters don’t work, and that I don’t have clean filtered water, because I have a meter which test the water quality, and it shows hard water coming from the refrigerator and hard water coming from my faucet, and the measurements are identical, which is exactly why I have a company deliver water to my house instead. Unfortunately, when I purchased this house, it had one appliance that was made by Samsung and it was my stove which led me to purchase other Samsung appliances so that my products would match, but that was the biggest mistake I could’ve made. I have had more problems with my Samsung products than I ever did with my products from LG and I will never purchase another Samsung product in the future, and if I’m in the position to recommend a product to someone else, it will not be made by Samsung.

The Watts version of the filter was clearly designed by someone with no spacial physics knowledge. The 'finger friendly' curved grip gives you no leverage to turn it once it's halfway to the vertical position unless your wrist is double jointed. I can't even give the rest of the product any time for this review..when I had to use additional tools to twist the mechanism all the way.

i’ve already replaced the water filter. but for some reason the refrigerator is not recognizing the new filter. and i’m unable to turn off the filter code inside the refrigerator. i love sampson products. however with the difficulty of turning off the filter sensor after replacing filter i would not recommend

I’ve had the Samsung refrigerator since May 2023, and am now buying my 5th filter. Terrible filter life. After 3-4 months, it is down to a slow trickle. Extremely disappointed in the filter. I haven’t gotten anywhere near 6 months with any of them.

Bought a 3 pack and installed it 1 week ago. I`ve read lots of the reviews here and was curious why the ratings were not higher. The main issue most reviews had were about hissing noise and leaking. One reviewer though gave me hope as to how to properly install the filter without any issues. I purchased and installed and WHAMMO, LEAKS!!!! However just to be clear , i was in a rush , forgot what the one reviewer said and did a lazy ,rushed job. Heres the take away. Turn off the water to the refrigerator before installing the new filter. If you install the filter without doing so, then most likely your guaranteed to flood the kitchen in 15-30 minutes . The filter will not make a secure seal if you try installing with the water pressure still up. If you first shut off water and the then release any execess water from the fridge, it should be smooth sailing . Great product but alot of unfair reveiws. Maybe a better user guide would have helped . God bless and i hope this helps others.

I recently purchased a water filter, installed it about one month ago, and ALREADY need a new one. I am terribly disappointed. I bought the refrigerator over a year ago and the original water filter worked great…now it tastes terrible and the “change filter” light is on. Ridiculousness.
