GET IT TOGETHER SAMSUNG!!!
I bought this fridge because it is a Samsung. There is a water pitcher in mine that is supposed to refill automatically, but it's hit and miss. Which is sooooo disappointing because that's one of the things that sold me on this particular refrigerator. I'm going to need to order a filter now and reading these reviews is not encouraging. PLEASE TELL ME SAMSUNG HAS DONE SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE THEY ARE VERY AWARE OF?

SAMSUNG STANDARDS HAVE GONE DOWN! NOT WORTH IT!!
I had always loved Samsung products so we have purchased several through the years but the standards recently have fallen short over the past few years. The dryer heating element went out in the first year we purchased our Samsung washer and dryer and the design they used on our new Samsung Refrigerator leaves alot to be desired, the ice maker especially!! Our old refrigerator (Amana)lasted us over 25 years and the icemaker made it to 20 years. We had had success in other Samsung products so we opted for the Samsung Refrigerator we have had it less than 3 yrs and have had trouble with the ice maker within the first year ice always building up and preventing ice from being made, very poor design. And then today the water on the door tried to flood my kitchen after I had just filled a cup, the water just kept on flowing freely even with the door opened. Apparently the switch on the inside of the door is faulty!!! SAMSUNG WHERE HAVE YOUR STANDARDS GONE?!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I think we will be switching our appliances out to another company until or if Samsung can ever fix their newly designed defective practices.
HAF-QIN/EXP Replacement Walter Filters
i have installed two genuine samsung replacement water filters in the last two weeks and have experienced water leakage both times. fortunately, i discovered the first water leak of several gallons before it could do damage. once the filter is inserted and locked into place, i hear a continuous hissing sound and then water sprays down inside of the refrigerator through the middle drawer and into the freezer and down to the pan on the bottom of the unit. when i reinstall the old filter, the hissing and water leakage does not occur. up until now, i have never experienced this problem and i have owned and maintained this refrigerator, model number rf23m8070sr/aa for over two years. i am extremely disappointed in a possible water damage problem with no apparent solution.

Does not last or bought a defective pack
this product did not serve our expectations. i understand we drink water daily but the original filter that came along with the fridge when purchased alone lasted 6 months. this pack we purchased from here we completely went through a 3 pack in less than 6 months.
Hi Shawn, We appreciate your time in reaching out to us and we are glad that you purchased and chose our product. It warms our hearts to know that our Samsung Refrigerator and filters are part of your family now. We apologize for the inconvenience of the water filter only lasting less than 6 months. This happens depending on the quality of the water in your area and the amount of water you dispense, you may want to change the filter more or less frequently than the light suggests. We understand that our product is a little expensive, however, you won't regret the quality of water that will be produced. We will surely notate your feedback about this matter for better products in the future. I highly recommend clicking these links for a basic troubleshooting guide for future reference: Proper guide in replacing the water filter: Reset the water filter light. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00060149/ You may also use this link for regular maintenance of your refrigerator's lifetime: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00079481/ If repair is needed, please take note of your warranty coverage: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/warranty/ If you need further assistance, please reach us through the following options: 1. No proof it filters lead
I bought samsung bespoke fridge, and then I got this filter for modelDA97-08006C-A. I have the DA97-17376B replacement filter. I am pregnant and I thought this filtered lead. I can't find the performance data sheet anywhere for this. I relied on this filter to filter lead because it had the NSF label. I bought a genuine one. Where is your performance safety data sheet for this? If you can't provide that to me, then basically I was duped by shady marketing. If you need a filter to filter lead, I advise anyone to do their research as it seems this product is duping people into thinking it filters lead.
Greetings! Congratulation on your journey with an infant on the way. Samsung's water filters are Carbon Filters rated for the NSF/ANSI 42, NSF/ANSI 53, and NSF/ANSI 401 standards. Horrible water
The water tastes horrible with my most recent water filter subscription delivery. And good luck cancelling your subscription. No one at Samsung even understands what I mean when I say that I need to cancel my refrigerator water filter subscription. Yeah I know - first world problems. But seriously the water from this water filter tastes worse than from the tap. It has a toxic chemical taste to it.

Same problem as everyone else. Doesn’t last.
These suck. Just like all the other reviews, my original lasted for 6ish months and then I switched to this rendition and now I’m changing ever 3 months. It’s nice to see that everyone that gives this kind of review is told by Samsung that they are the problem. I think of this many people have the same problem it’s more likely a Samsung problem. But please gaslight me Samsung. I LOVE that.
Hi There, Thank you very much for your review on one of our products. Should you need support in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at www.samsung.com or by calling 1-800-7267864 (1800-SAMSUNG). Have a great day! -Ricardo
Short life
the filter that came with our fridge later about a year before the flow through the dispenser started to slow. the replacement filter lasted less than 3 months before becoming so clogged that the ice maker stopped working. if it's only going to last 3 months,i might as well try a generic.
The water filter should last longer than that. So we can look into your concern, please feel free to contact our Social Media team for help. ^Pat 1. Facebook Messenger: http://m.me/samsungsupport 2. How NOT TO have it LEAK: part 2
After reading the long "How NOT TO have it LEAK" review I grew a pair and went for it. The original came out easily. The new one leaked even though I gently pushed it in while turning it to lock. Then.... I shut off the water line to my refrigerator with the small ball valve behind the refrigerator, installed the filter the same way but without any resistance and turned the water back on. No leaks.
